Okay, here we go! Another edited video! I tried really hard to edit this as pretty as I could to honor my magical experience and honor Mameaya-san.

I got to witness Mameaya's Misedashi (apprentice Geiko/Geisha debut?) in Kyoto, in the Spring of 2019. I was absolutely crying my heart out. I was quietly sobbing with happiness. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life. I’m so happy I got to witness such an important moment in this girls life. It will be with me for the rest of my life.
Congratulations Mameaya!!! I hope one day I can meet you for tea, a performance and good conversation!

Right?! Their artistry is truly spectacular. The training and dedication they commit to their craft is to be envied. I hope one day I can be entertained by a maiko or geiko. I know that their seasonal theater performances are available to the public through ticket sales, so thats on my bucket list. I'd also love to witness more misedashis in different prefectures to see the variety of customs and traditions. Thank you for the kind words!

Yes my friend who did her thesis on the maiko and geiko in kyoto (so she has vast knowledge) said the same thing. Im 5 foot 8 inches so i always have love for ppl who are considered tall wherever they're from, especially women. Not easy being the tall girl in class. ☺️
