Thanks for the video man, mines in the post, last touched one 19 years ago on a high school music lesson lol. Your video is a very good representation of what all beginners can expect. Cheers!
Thanks for checking it out and congrats on being a winner in the recent giveaway. Hopefully you saw the Drawing video. th-cam.com/video/-YvxldW3RYY/w-d-xo.html
This is a very timely video! I ordered a Clarke Sweetone a few days ago and expect it to arrive any day now. Similarly, I have never tried playing one of these things, so this gives me a good idea what I'm in for.
Fun to learn (when everybody else has left the house) ; ) I've only 15 tinwhistles, 3 of them are the Sweetones, and I've a LIR whistle "in transit". My fave so far is my John Sindt whistle. Keep playing - you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you'll buy more...fair warning...
I recently ordered a Tony Dixon D soprano after a bit of research on best ones to start out with. I have no experience but am happy with the ones I bought. I decided to go ahead and get the Low D, also Tony Dixon, non-tunable version as it seemed the best choice given my newbie status. I will focus first on the soprano before even picking up the Low D which is what is recommended by those with advanced skills. I plan to have a lot of fun with the learning process, will be heading to a nearby park to spare the neighbors. 😉🎵🎶
Good luck with the whistle. I did very little research on these so I'm sure you ended up with a great whistle. I need to look into some of these other brands you (and others in the comments) have recommended. Thanks for watching.
Before I got my tin whistles I watched a lot of reviews. I dont like the Clarke Sweettone. I also got the Woody 2 tinwhistle set and love it. I play flute, oboe, and various bamboo flutes and was disappointed with the Clarke Sweettone. But learning to play my Eastman mandolin currently(in my dreams). Work is wearing me out. You sound good on that Clarke! ❤️
Thanks for checking it out and commenting. I know next to nothing about tinwhistles but I'd heard the Sweetone was made for beginners. I need to check out the one you mentioned. I'm glad you think I sounded good because I felt like I couldn't get a good sound. Thanks again.
I think this is the best video about these flutes for a beginner to see.
Thanks for checking it out. I make all my videos hoping they're helpful to someone so... that's good to hear.

I'm glad you liked it. I always hope my vids can help a newbie know what to expect or even inspire someone. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Kale for another great video

My grand dad never left home without his feadóg stáin in his back pocket. Respect!
Sounds like your granddad was a kindred musical spirit. Respect to him too. Thanks for watching.
He never sat down?????????????????????
Nice job on it Kale. I bet you could play the Quills part of Henry Thomas' Bulldoze Blues, aka Goin Up Country by the end of the week.
It's not an easy instrument to play but I think I could get it if I spent some time with it.

Oh wow. I'm glad my timing was on point. I don't think it's discouraging but it is definitely an instrument that requires some technique. Good luck!

Thanks for checking out the vid. I think that's good advice to practice when nobody is home... at first anyway. LOL. Thanks again.
Can't wait to hear your cover of My Heart Will Go On played on this whistle and other instruments.
Oh wow. That might take me a bit. LOL.
Very good unboxing...keep practicing
Thanks. It's tricky to get the hang of but a lot of fun.
Oh my goodness I just did a video about this whistle last week 😅 Great minds think alike!
Oh that’s too funny. I’ll have to go watch yours. Like you said… great minds.

If it makes you feel better, one day I practiced on the octave scale and my glass window cracked. So, I get it.
Ha ha. Thanks for that comment. You never know 'til you try.

Thanks for checking out the video. I'm sure I could get it if I just practiced a bit. There's definitely a technique to it.
