Why does Joe need to "learn how to riff" with other comedians? He's created one of the greatest podcast ever. I'd say that guy doesnt need to learn how to do shit at this point. Maybe people like yourself should learn how to appreciate things how they are.

Drinking is fun at times. I've had a lot of fun, a lot of bad times too but when it gets bad it gets BAD! I used to drink a handle of vodka straight every day. Throwing up gallons of blood, 7 blood and platelets and transfusions., Numerous hospital visits, 11 times checked my self in detox/rehab, 3 seizures from trying to quit too fast on my own and I don't remember anything from it. Now i''m in my 30s and have cirrhosis of the liver.... and i still drink like a true idiot alcoholic. It sucks. It's hard sometimes yall!!The whole point of me saying this is to let people know that YOU CAN DO IT!! Just don't give up like give up like i'm doing at the momment.

Binge drinking is worse then daily drinking. I'm a nurse and at a cellular level your cells produce more filtration systems when you introduce alcohol, but slamming your system sporadically with alcohol get the cells off guard.

I wasn't gonna watch this video but for some reason, seeing Nick Swardson, I did. I'm a severe alcoholic and have struggled with it for almost 12 years. I'm 29 now. Hearing Nick just straight up talk about his drinking is admirable, especially on a well known podcast. Late 2017, I was in the hospital for 10 days because of booze. Pancreatitis, liver treatment, alcohol poisoning, ascites, fever, you name it. Somehow lived. I don't know why man. Same thing, they were telling me to call or have them call anybody, friend or family wise because they didn't think I was gonna make it. Went to a 30 day in patient treatment program afterwards. Worked for a while until just recently. Fell off the wagon again man, for the last 2 months. I listen to TMP, Bobby Lee, YMH, D'elia, Rogan, Burt, blah blah. After this podcast, I'm a definite Santino fan as well. Thank you guys for being real in this fake fucking world. Love from Iowa.

Nick's one of the best podcast guests and one of the most awkward talk show guests. I can't remember what late night show I seen him on but I felt sorry for him, you could tell he didn't want to be there, or he was doing a really believable bit.
Swarsdon is quick, actually able to riff, improvise, and go along with bits, which is rare.

Man I'm sure there are other horrible sickness feelings out there but alcohol withdrawal is hell, shivering, cold sweats, shaking, vomiting, feeling scared, delirium tremens, convulsions then the fakin seizure, I have experienced those and its the worst, after I stopped heavily drinking and had all those symptoms, I swear I heard voices and music for about a week specially while trying sleep which it was impossible, I am so glad I am sober for several months now but the battle continues even though I dont have the thirst, stay sober friends and reach for help if you are hitting the bottle continuously, you could lose everything, all best for Nick, im proud of you!

Really happy that Nick is getting healthy and taking good care of himself now. Sucks that near death situation happened but hopefully he's healthier in the long run. Love grandma's boy, love your stand up and love you Nick!

Grandma's boy was a ritual in my house during high school. It got my sister to blaze with me for the first time. Criminally underrated. Had to stop watching it after my tour in Iraq. An IED took my left leg and the docs refused to give me a metal prosthetic. Still pissed
