Brandon Stephens is a baller. His stats were incredible, made more impressive by who he faced, and how often he was targeted and tested. The defense is not record setting without all the contributions, but the number of snaps speaks for itself, imo he was pro bowl worthy and all pro caliber.
the fact b steve wasn’t at least a pro bowler is absurd coach. he didn’t get the recognition he deserved for his great performance last yr. i was annoyed that they tried to flip flop him in between cb & s because of needs prior to this season. he’s at his best in press man with the ability to bump n run & be physical. the fact he’s great in off coverage & zone & is a great tackler makes him extremely valuable. the more comfortable he gets the better he will be at getting his hands on the ball more in man.
Hey coach, I like Renardo Green too, but there are two other guys I really like. One I know you’re familiar with, Khyree Jackson and Elijah Jones out of Boston College. Would love to hear your thoughts on them.
Great video Coach, I love how he's been trending up since the second half of 2022. EDC should be trying to give him a 3 year or 4 year extension worth $10 - $13 Million per season. That would be a steal deal but drafting a CB in the 2nd or 3rd round would be ideal to keeping some talent going forward.
He's a baller. He surprised a lot of us Ravens fans. His footwork, patience, and, as you illustrated, speed, tackling, and athleticism are all great assets. He has come a long way.
To answer the question on need at cb whether it’s draft or FA I think it’s a yes we do need another starting caliber perimeter corner. However Brandon Stephen’s deserves a contract worth up to 10m a year, absolutely most improved as well as unsung hero.
Should they draft a corner? yes, in the 1st or 2nd round? no. I can see them taking a guy like green or hart but i honestly think they should wait till next draft to get that replacement for marlo. Round 1 is tackle all the way unless they are gone. Round 2 will be wr i can see keon, burton, and rice being there. Wont lie i wouldnt be upset at them taking kyree jackson at 62 though i just dont think we can risk being one wr injury away from being the 2022 raven's (in the pass attack)
With Humphrey injury history and recent play I think a CB at 62 is the move unless leggette is there. I think next year we could possibly cut Humphrey if he gets injured again or plays poorly. I really like the wr Javon baker if we wait till the 3rd to grab one.
His 1st year was shaky cuz he was a rookie his 2nd year he improved a bit and now this past season he did very well I thought shout out to him he’s been a better football player since his 1st season
brandon stephens played like an all-pro last season getting an outside corner like RoDo and drafting someone like khyree jackson in the late 3rd early 4th is in the cards, so he can learn from vets... I hope they swing this year in the 3rd 4th on traits and dont go for the "safe" pick like they have with sean wade, JAD, pepe etc. (Take their chance on their own version of a tariq woolen)
Follow up, i hope and pray EDC learned from justin madebuike and pays this man before he actually becomes an all-pro/pro bowler this year, the trajectory is there, this is the next step for him, knock on wood for health
Yes yes yes we definitely need a db early in the draft. But not bc of Stephen’s but bc of Humphreys. He unreliable and is living off the hype of the punchout season..
Idk why analysts keep talking about the Ravens need a corner in the first round. Stevens was an absolute dawg last year. He was the most consistent corner on the number 1 defense in the league. They’re too busy watching the cowboys to even know what’s really going on with other teams.
I don’t think Coleman or leggette will be there for us sadly. So I think we do take CB or EDGE in the 2nd. I like Javon baker as a wr I think we could trade up in the 3rd for him.
Been saying the same 💩 ppl will big up marlo but give mp zero credit for elevating marlo game and all of a sudden he stays hurt and nowhere near his level of play that got him his deal

Agree. 100%.
what a privilege being able to drive around and soak in High IQ football commentary like this. Great stuff, Coach and thanks for the mention
EA, Sip2Tally, & All 22 are the best Ravens channels out there
@@musiconly7447 don't forget Huddle it Up Films.

Ozzie Newsome once said “you could never have too many corners”
Yup. Especially with Stephens on the last year of his deal.

Hope to get a video out on 6-8 CB's soon.

Should Have Been A All Pro, They Can Draft Some One Who Can Red Shirt
I thought so also. Great point.
B Steve so underrated dude it’s crazy, said it all year he looks like cb1 out there

He deserves more
Br . Stephens is a true Raven. Earned the title football player 💜🖤💜🖤

Absolutely need to draft someone with the future in mind, and provide depth this season. Agree
JAD and Pepe always hurt... They need to retool because the backups haven't been reliable in years.

We do need to sign a veteran corner and yes draft a corner n the middle rounds.
So many good CB's in this Draft. I really think there are good players through the later rounds there.
I had baltimore drafting max Melton in round 2
Think that would be a great pick.
Lock 🔒 him up long term
I guess people don't realize if you don't hear a corners name much he is probably a good one

!!!!!! Nah fr
Stephens was our best corner last year followed by Darby in my opinion.

Y Brandon isnt already extended is beyond me🙄
Let’s go defense🎭😈🐦⬛💯🔒🦍🌠🎱📑 year
Nooooooo... Brandon Stevens was the best cornerback on that team😮
I think we draft tackle first then grab a Legette or Coleman and trade back into the second round to grab CB
I don’t think Coleman or leggette will be there for us sadly. So I think we do take CB or EDGE in the 2nd. I like Javon baker as a wr I think we could trade up in the 3rd for him.
He is our best CB, Marlo aint do nothing since juiceman was here
Been saying the same 💩 ppl will big up marlo but give mp zero credit for elevating marlo game and all of a sudden he stays hurt and nowhere near his level of play that got him his deal
Apparently not
Absolutely the ravens should draft a corner back.
