I just did the exact same thing to mine today. Well I did not grease anything today. I use the blower and blow it off after every mow. Great minds think alike. I run mine up on ramps and put blocks on those back wheels even with the parking break on.😉 Usually after my last mow around end of October I clean it up again, grease the fittings and change the "Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, and Fuel Filters".
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the feedback. I don’t pretend to be an expert on everything like so many TH-camrs do. I’ll take any valid advice I can get!
Not specifically, but it is covered in my Hydro Gear Oil Change video. Go check it out. If that doesn’t help you out comment on that video or back here. Might have to make a specific video for it.
I don't think I have ever greased anything on my maverick. Gonna knock that out today! I just changed the oil and filter yesterday, so good timing. I'm at 95 hours and have started my 3rd season of mowing.
Oh btw a tip if you have a farm jack raise it up and put a bucket under the 2 front tires for more space rather than ramps idk I this would help you or not but just wanted to let you know I tried it works great surprisingly tell me if you tried it great video man
Planning on doing the exact same to my Elite tomorrow so this video gave me some ideas. I’m using a 2100 PSI pressure washer. I noticed you didn’t grease the front wheels. There’s a black cap over the tops of each which I assume have grease fittings under there (I’ve never had them off) Please do a video when you sharpen the blades . After a years use and 40 hrs, mine still cut great but I’m sure they’ll need it at some point soon.
Yeah, I have never pulled the black caps off, but I am fairly certain they are non-grease-able. At least that is what I was told. Maybe I should check too.
Thank you for the video 💯👍I paid $7500.00 for this lawn mower and it doesn’t have alamights on the blade bearings and that’s crazy 😜 they want them to wear out so they can sell you some new ones 😂💯👍
Yeah it’s hard to say…most people would likely ignore the maintenance on the bearings, so over all they may see less failures with the “maintenance free” sealed bearings…but I am with you…I’d rather be able to add grease.
I had a case mower for years before I got my bad boy mower, It had grease zerks on the spindle shafts, however the spindle bearings would still go bad, Note to file, no matter how much you grease you place in the spindle cavity, if the inter bearing seals covers are not removed from the bearing no grease can go into the bearing, U must remove the inter bearing seal cover!!! No one does this so why have grease zerks on the shafts? Take care,
So I love your video's they have helped me a lot. But I'm wondering if you can show how to adjust the bars?, Not the ones on the bars themselves but my right one goes forward more and my mower is pulling a tad to the right. I know there is a adjustment just not sure on where and how exactly to do it lol. I would really be grateful 😀.
Take a look at this video around the 13:25 mark and see if that helps you out. If not I can probably make a more in depth video on the adjustment process. th-cam.com/video/RlooIYk1z2s/w-d-xo.html
I've had a REALLY CRAPPY DAY. I can't explain it, but this video is like Xanax. No, I'm not mental.....thanks lol. Now I grease the fittings. All of them.
No need to say sorry. These are just standard automotive oil change ramps. I added a link to them in the description, or you can find something similar at your local auto parts store. I like the plastic ones for working on the mower because they are easier to pivot on the concrete than the metal ones. Hope this helps.
I have had my Maverick for 3 years now and still absolutely love it. The Maverick is what Bad Boy calls their entry level commercial grade mower. I believe it is suited for mowing up to 5 hours per day 5 days per week. The elite's are more rated to like 5 hours per week, though I know several guys in my area that use them daily and brag on them all the time. If I had to buy a mower today, I would buy the Maverick again. Love it!
Currently using a no name gun with the Lock-N-Lube coupler on it. I am still trying out different grease types, but I believe I had a Lucas Oil Marine grease in it for this video. I’m trying out a Super Lube red bearing grease now. No major difference in performance on the mower.
Thank you, I can't tell you how helpful this video has been. Now maybe I can find all the grease points on mine. Have a blessed day
Good idea with ramps, have those exact same ones. Thx for tips
The ramps make it so easy. They don't get the deck super high, but its enough to get the job done.
My Bad Boy Maverick also has grease fittings on the front tires in addition to the 8 shown in the video.
I was surprised to find that this one didn’t have those.
@@south_coastthe higher end ones like my Rogue 6100 have sealed bearings

That is a solid way to go about it. I have to mow pretty much year round in my neck of the woods, so never really put my mower up for the winter.
What about hydrologic filter does that need changed annually
Thanks the manual I have only shows three fittings.
Great video ... I see that you are using the Lock n Lube fitting on your grease gun which I just got and finds it makes
using my grease gun fun again.
haha I don't know if I would say it is fun, but it is definitely way less frustrating!
Thank you.
Good video. Good grease points tips..
Good credit given to feedback received.

Just used your vid to find the grease fittings! Thanks for the vid!
Good deal. Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you.
Glad you found it helpful.
Thanks for sharing.
Can I use Valvoline full synthetic grease (color gray) on the grease points?
Yeah that will probably work fine…thanks for checking out the video!
Have you got a video how to adjust the sterring sticks ?
Not specifically, but it is covered in my Hydro Gear Oil Change video. Go check it out. If that doesn’t help you out comment on that video or back here. Might have to make a specific video for it.
@@south_coast thank you so much for that quick feedback , you the Man.
Your videos they are so down to earth , for people like me .
@@vernonvallerchamp2947 Thank you for the kind words. I just try to keep it real and not take myself too serious.
Curious about how to adjust them as well. Already looked at Hydro video.
I saw an ad for that locking tip on your grease gun. Looks like it really does work well.
It has worked really well for me.
I don't think I have ever greased anything on my maverick. Gonna knock that out today! I just changed the oil and filter yesterday, so good timing. I'm at 95 hours and have started my 3rd season of mowing.
Nice! Keep getting after it!
Point out where the grease deserts are under the mower.
This video may give a better look at the grease locations under the mower. th-cam.com/video/jo9OpOq8C-0/w-d-xo.html
What was that fitting that you greased in the back ?? I can not find it on mine but says it has one it
It is hard to see, but I believe it is on the shaft for the idler pully under there. I had to really get under there to find it.

@@south_coast The bearings are sealed, no zerks.
Nice vid thx
Thanks boss I need to grease my Bad Boyvas well, also found touch up paint as well! I use a power washer to clean mine , have you tried that?
I haven't needed to use a pressure washer on mine yet. The regular hose has done the trick so far.

What the name on the deck the black plastic and how to cut the government up

Wondering about the ramps? Height, max weight needed, cost, where did u purchase? Sorry and thank you…new to all this.

Have you had any trouble with the engine?
No issues yet.

Yeah I do. Still going strong. Just put some new gator blades on it and it’s kicking butt
