Hii this vlog was so aesthetic 🤍 I got an offer to study Interaction Design + Advanced Studies at USyd for next year, and I was wondering whether we need to have known how to code from earlier or they start teaching from scratch? Also, is the course well balanced in theory + practical or is it mainly theory? Tysm!
@@TheHridzdiaries Hi! Congratulations on your offer! I think you’ll like this course because, as far as I know, the core units I’ve taken are a blend of both theory and practice. Some first-year classes are very theory-based, where they teach you fundamentals about design, and then there are classes where you gain real experience with creative coding, graphic design, 3D printing, web development, and more. I didn’t have any coding experience prior to this degree. The units I took last semester (in this video) were a core unit and a selective unit (it wasn’t compulsory; I just took it because I wanted to learn more about JavaScript and web development). They all taught us from scratch, so I don’t think you should worry too much! But it’s always better to have some prior experience in advance. Even though the languages we study in this course are not as complex as the ones they study in CS, I still think it’s beneficial to study more in your own time to excel in these classes! Good luck with your studies!
@@LaanHuuong Thank you so much for your reply!! It sounds good to know that the coding language isn’t too advance, and as per your advice I am planning to get a brief understanding of html/CSS prior to Feb 2025 when I arrive in Sydney👍🏻 I wish you all the best with your studies too :D
