@@NatsNackersYardAny advice as to how I can rewind the spring that flip the butterfly? It appears I have unfortunately unwound? one and now the butterfly seems loose and doesn't flip back to the proper placement like the others now that I've got it reassembled. The cylinders are all unattached from one another yet, but I realized my mistake and will need to correct what I've done before I put them all back together. Rookie mistake and luckily I didn't attempt to mess with any of the others, however now I am at a standstill due to this one spring out of whack

Short of dismattleling and dragging it around a turn, I can't really help I am afraid mate.

Good vid ta. Numpty question - was that a JIS driver for the "pozi" screws? I suppose I'm asking, do I need a decent set of JIS drivers? Cheers, Andy.

I think that they are all JIS screws mate. I bought a cheap set a while ago and they are so much better, especially on carbs.

A good degrease and 30 minutes in an ultrasonic bath will have those gleaming. Biggest issues I've found with those carbs is the float valves gumming up and leaking petrol all over the place.

To be honest mate, I ended up stripping them to individual carbs and squeezing them into my ultrasonic individually!

I am not sure if you pulled the air jets - I generally turn then back in and count how many turns they are set at before removing them - Coming along though I think that you will have fun with that little bike

Thats the mix screw mate, not the jets themselves. Not all bikes have air jets (pretty sure that my gpz didn't).

A clean will do more good than harm Nat ,are you going back to standard mains?

    • @NatsNackersYard

Probably, eventually. I have got to get it running before I make that call I think. Maybe it was upjetted for reason.

Hint for a small ultrasonic and 4 x carb bodies…… wait until the wife’s out and chuck them in the dishwasher

There's a fine line between braver and stupidity. I have been known to cruise that line!
