Hello wild camp, what a relief that you got the fire going, drink some hot tea, and please try a long fire, I showed a young man today your channel,he is from Europe as well,Please stay safe out there,Looking for ward to seeing your next adventure.God Bless You and Your furry friend.
This video is truly impressive! Surviving such extreme conditions at -31°C without a sleeping bag or tent requires incredible skill and resilience. Amazing demonstration of survival expertise!
i can help you a lot. Bring another tarp and put it over your existing tarp ,Stuff the area between the tarps with boughs or other debris. Close off the front of your shelter with clear PEVA shower curtain (wally's) and gorilla tape. A small plastic bottle of adhesive release-agent lets you remove tape and the residue. Use a Siberian log fire's one way projected heat to send more radiant heat into your shelter. Use a reflective tyvek XL size bivy from 2GoSystems as your inside 'tarp", It has tie out points and will fully-unzip to form a canopy, which you can shape as needed. You only want one or 2 pinkie-sized vent holes in your supershelter. . Cover the bottom edges of your bivy/tarp and the outside covering with snow or dirt, so as to seal in your warm air. I taped-together a couple of heavy duty drum liners as the "envelope" around the bivy. You can slit those bags open with your knife, arrange them to suit your situation and then, if you need them as bags again, just tape them back into that configuration. PEVA lets in much more radiant heat than is the case with construction VisiKleen and PEVA wont crack in the cold, either. The third drum-liner (sometimes, slit-open) suffices to close-off the open end of the bivy when it's set up as a Kochanski super-shelter. Normally, I dont bother with the super shelter, but there's conditions that cause too much condensation inside of the simpler bivy and envelope sort of set-up. When you enlarge the shelter a bit and include the projected heat of the Siberian fire lay's being able to pass under the hammock, that takes care of the condensation. If it's cold, I DO hang the hammock very low, just 6" off of the ground and I DO put boughs or other debris under the hammock to slow-down the air=flow.
So let me ask you a few questions. If you bring no tent or sleeping bag, what are you going to do if you fall down and break your leg or arm and can't build a shelter or gather wood for a fire? Do you have emergency equipment to see your thru the night?
I have all my gear, but I don't have a tent, just a tarp as you can see in the video. During one of the shoots, the axe hit my foot while chopping wood, and honestly, in a situation like this, it's best to go back to town and get to a hospital.
The poor dog doesn't have a choice. You can choose to be out there in the cold. Your dog can't. And because dogs are loyal, he's staying with you. You're welcome for my comment. I know comments get you money.
Extreme temps your dog should have additional coverage on body , feet and at night. Although dogs are resilient they can become cold fast and hard . Xoxo nice video
Thanks for always helping viewers enthusiastically.
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰

I feel sorry for the dog.... poor baby, hugs
Why? I always hug him, play with him, feed him, take care of him, and he sleeps in my arms. Why would he be poor?🥲
