In Mexico i ate beans and handmade tortillas and cheese my mother would make from the cows we had a farm full of chickens and thought was poor because I didnt eat fast food I was truly blessed no one knows how good they have it till they see the next man
It was clean at least, and that sounds good to.
v c you live in province and life in province is so simple yet your stomach will be full..but these people fled to the cities to change their fate but without skills and proper education they can’t achieve a life like that..

Lawrence Santos I lived in the province for 16 years while 8 years in the city and I can say that life in the rural is far better than in the urban.
These poor people came from the provinces
And brought pagapag making with them to the city
Restaurants should hand over their daily leftovers to these people instead of throwing them. At least this way the leftovers are much cleaners .
They can't. Its risky. If someone gets food-poisoned or what from their 'handovers' their business will suffer and be blamed for it.
Exaxtly and in a high volume restaurant it eould be nearly impossible to store mass amounts of left overs and be sanitary. Plus costs of freezing, storage, distribution ect. Its easy to say that but its a different story to actually be able to do it. Its impossible.
Working in restuarant, one thing I have learned why they didn't hand their leftovers to other people is to avoid cross contamination that can possibly bring them to illness.

It's a lot like "dumpster diving" here in America, where people eat food from the garbage. It should not even exist, but sadly it does. I pray for all of these people. God help them.

Dumpster divers do it to save money or to save the environment. All the food is untouched and typically packaged or still intact.

I don't really understand why these people keep reproducing. Raising a child only to endure the suffering of worst poverty is one of the most inhumane way of torturing. Noong araw kahit taga squatter's area ka may pag asa kang makaahon sa kahirapan. Sa iskwater din kami nakatira noong 70's pero dahil sa pagsisikap ng aming mga magulang nakapagtapos kaming labindalawang magkakapatid sa kolehiyo. Iniwan na namin ang lugar na kinalakhan namin at halos lahat nakatira na sa ibang bansa. Nakakalungkot pero sa nakikita ko sa video clip na ito parang wala nang kapaga pagasa pang makaahon ang mga taong ito sa kinasasadlakan nila. Sobrang nakakadepress.

This is one of my inspiration para mapagbuti ko pag aaral ko. Kasi isa sa goal ko mula bata ako, tumulong sa mga nangangailangan. And until now, even though student pa ako. Shs student, kung may maibibigay talaga ako binibigay ko. Kasi hindi naman yan sa kung anong maibibigay mo. But everytime Im doing that, im also praying na e-blessed sila ni papa lord god. and im really proud na Im with god. Kasi naranasan ko din maghirap, pero hindi sa ganyan, pero alam ko kung gaano kahirap. Kaya sana tulungan natin silang bumangon, at bigyan sila ng motivation para makaahon.. Habang kaya ko, meron ako. Magbibigay ako :(

In India something similar happens except the poor people in the slums of India exchange services such as washing clothes in exchange for the persons leftovers from dinner. Usually just rice with some curry sauce on it. That's better than left over chicken from the garbage dump. If only I knew people in Manila I would ask them to tell people about what they do in India so they can try it there too. It would be better than looking for food in the garbage.
