its crazy you mentioned abr because texas in july and abr are from the same exact area in PA. I was born and raised in Lancaster County where they're both from. Texas in july has been my all time favorite band even with the previous vocalist Alex but JT just brings that raw emotion and sound. Texas in July and ERRA are my top 2. Great review btw! First time watcher here.
Wow now THIS is a band i havent heard of in forever, i remember seeing them 10+ years ago as opener for August Burns Red at some dumpster little venue, it was awesome haha
cool IN FLAMES shirt Johnny btw the band is from PENNSYLVANIA and they have been around since 2007 which is currently about 16 years and there last album they came out was in 2014 well obviously not there last album as a band per say
people always call this band august burns red 2.0 or their sister band because of how similar they sound. adam grey the drummer for TIJ used to tech and fill for matt greiner in ABR.
I agree with the ABR, Back in the day TIJ and ABR were almost synonymous with one another. Also both drummers used to do freestyles together. I know Matt is on their song Cloudy Minds, an absolute banger instrumental track. Cheers.
Actually came to say something similar. I always felt like TIJ was a more simple ABR style, but I mean that in a good way. I personally don’t always like my music to be super complex and diverse, sometimes you just need dirty riffs and chunky chugs!
One this is a fabulous song. Two caffeine question, I used to have 32oz of coffee a day spread out from about 10am to 11pm. So around 350-400 mg of caffeine a day. Ended up dropping it to 16oz a day once i realized how shaky it was making me as well when I moved from a late shift to a day shift. Most caffeine I've consumed in a day was somewhere around 1200mg when working a 16 shift and not being able to sleep for about 30 hours.
Love Texas in July. I remember falling in love with the Self Titled album because the songs didn’t feel as formulaic and each had their own unique progression. JT… such a great vocalist. ❤ ERRA is my favorite heavy band. Texas in July coming back is awesome.
I hope my girlfriend is okay with you guys being my boyfriends
I’m sure she won’t mind sharing.
Wild Roar Boy spotted 😮
I remember I saw erra and everyone in the crowd was shouting “TIJ, TIJ”
I felt bad for erra; but they shouldn’t be offended, these guys just CRUSH.
he read an entire novel with that breakdown callout
Not just JT but Chris from TGI!
So glad this band are back ❤
The way that JT makes melody with his screams is just...goddamn. That chorus soars!!!
The nostalgia is HEAVY here. SO glad they're back.
Welcome back Adam Gray.. my god what a drummer.
Their drummer Adam Gray filled in for Matt Greiner of ABR a few times!
Modernity..
Did we just create a band?
YEP!
Australia has produced the best bands you fuckers from down under are badass so it awesome to see you enjoy our bands

@@ItsJeff_ no I feel you, I’m actually guilty of not following ABR as well as TIJ for that simple fact haha

Why is JT looking like Jake from ABR? Is it just me or is he Jake's long lost doppelGangbanger
Mmm, that is some good, "bread and butter" Metalcore right there!
Solid reaction, as always, dudes! It's good to hear new music from these guys.
JT is my favorite vocalist by a long shot.
Haha love these guys, this was a pleasant surprise. Caffine doesn't seem to affect my energy levels, probably need to get more sleep I suppose.
Such a badass In Flames shirt

Ooooof! This is tough!
Lancaster, PA. Represent
Alex Good (Before JT) was so good, One Reality and the Self Titled are great with him. Unfortunately he never got much recognition.
