this type of thing on youtube is hypnotic ... would be great to see riding around the backstreets of Osaka, Girona, Asunción, Tampere...wherever, it's just feel-good escapism
Terry, whatever camera set-up you've been using recently has really been popping off and feels somewhere between a movie and actually being there. Well done
Several years ago he showed his setup at that time, a Feiyu WG2X gimbal bolted to a helmet with a Gopro. Guessing he's using a ND filter for slower shutter speeds and a wireless mic with deadcat for noise reduction.
I just came around your channel with this video in my feed and as an average cyclist, I enjoy all the wide angles you get to make us feel immersive and part of it like we're right there with you.
Terry, I love the positivity of your videos. I'm a fat middle-aged dude, not as fearless as your subjects, but when I am on my purple fixie I feel like I am more connected with New York than when I'm on foot, subway, bus, cab or car. These videos are inspiring.
@@dipdip7250 Yes and I love it. I drove from Brooklyn to Philadelphia to buy it used. My daughters landlord told me, "if I ever wanted to do it with a bicycle it would be yours" Kinda weird, but the hype is real.
NYC is so crazy for biking. I'm way out in the sticks of the Midwest. You might see one cop while you're out riding. There is one in every frame of the video. I'd love to visit just to ride and see the cycling culture there. Love these types of videos - nice job!
Nyc fixie riding is heaven if youre a junkie about it. Imo the sketchier the traffic is the more fun finding ways to find a way through. Idc if its dangerous its so fun.
I am from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. But do you have a death wish or something..? It's amazing how you can bike so fearless. especially in a country that is so not used to bikers. But deep respect. Godspeed
NYC is its own world. The city makes an effort to install bicycle infrastructure, but motorists disregard it. They don’t watch for cyclists and they tend to park in the bike paths. So riders there tend to fend for themselves in the streets and disregard motorist laws altogether
As a teenager I was a bike messenger in New York City and you ride like a city girl. Just keep riding the way you do because you are your own judge of your safety.
I do the Williamsburg bridge 5days a week on a bike. It’s not so much steep gradient as it is looooooong on the way up into Brooklyn. She made it look nearly effortless.
did i just watch the most cyberpunk vlog ive ever seen? It felt so weird, the camera is so alive, and the fact that this is a person walking around the town talking to a drone, wow
NY is giving such good vibes when you cycle there, nice weather, it's quiet even, can hear the people chatter. Love from cold and very messed up infrastructure Warsaw.
If you're ever in stuart, fl , check out the Roosevelt Bridge. It's about six times the length of the Brooklyn Bridge in addition to a 30 Degree incline. Definitely a workout.
Enjoyed watching this. Thx for vid! The uphills seems like they're flat especially on the bridge. Probably why some people saying shes slow. IMO shes a great rider!
same, i remember biking through the city towards the beginning of lockdown. The city felt like i was in the movie, I Am Legend except substitute the zombies for crackheads cause thats legit all you saw out.. It was so eerie but cool
Man, I can watch her ride all day lol. So pretty and smooth style of riding. And 'yes' to running reds, unless it's some crazy situation....maybe. Haha
Very well shot. This is beautiful. Love how you guys just flow through traffic seamlessly. Looks exciting! It's almost enough to make me wanna' visit. 😂😅
Yes I go through stops and red lights, I whip my head left and right fast enough to just get a glimpse of a cars coming but enough to acknowledge what’s going on, I time it right through experience

0:59 BRO ME TOO! I was cruising at 35-40 on my was home from work and a car abruptly cut across 2 lanes of traffic and the bike lane I was riding in.. I plowed directly into his passenger door.. there was no where else I could have gone. I tried to stop, but he was just suddenly there, so.. I remember seeing the guy's daughter in the passenger seat with a look of terror as I slammed into it. Luckily I didn't break anything on that wreck.
She's giving good vibes 😊I'm sure she's very fast when she wants to be. I kinda want that kask helment now 👀 Awesome camera work! Your video always looks so high quality 😍

NPCish
💀💀💀
You mean that teenish undesirable upward inflection from the valley …. “So like anyway, I was like at band camp, and like, omg even ….”
Makes you realize how easy it would be to get around if there were not any cars
Now we’re getting it
Come to Netherlands
While Netherlands is planning a bicycle friendly city, America is only thinking about cars. That's sad😢
Not the cars. You got no biking infrastructure.
Biking was such a dream when the pandemic hit. Almost zero cars taking up space and blowing fumes. So quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Nah real life has much worse audio quality

agree! yo terry is there a gear update?

The traffic is so bottlenecked that it gives cycling a greater glory. Riding is great but, riding faster than cars is the cats ass.
