It would be cool to make a fan out of that and use the direct drive motor as the motor

Yeh off course you can! You can drive a fan a couple of meters high with this. The torque is insane. Thanks for comments. :)

Good job! Like to ask if your running the motor with that controller and if so what voltage and id sensored or un senserd and how did you configure the coils to have it run from the controller. Need help to know that. Thanks.

These direct drive motors you can connect up to the controller or any other controller. This is 60v controller. The different controllers do come with wiring diagrams. ciao.

Not sure what you’re trying to show here… Anybody can run a motor on electricity at 400 RPM. What we’re looking for is running it on residence at 3600 RPM with maximum torque so that it’s useful. I can see that if you can run low amps and then run another generator that you could use it as a 24 hour a day battery charging system or something but other than that, I’m not sure what you think it would be useful for🤷‍♂️

You right. At the moment with this config can only charge batteries when the sun is down. And no grid. Other than that I do test theories and ideas. It is concept only. You could do some battery charging if you have lots of wind, or running water. It works at low rpm. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the controller link here and the referring to the rewiring video source, but which wiring pattern did you use of the several he shows? Did you buy any means measure max steel torque using an watched level and scale or some other method? How was hearing with load? Thanks!

I tried them all. There are a lot of wiring diagrams here on youtube. No torque measurements, I do not have that equipment. On different rpm the DDs sounds awesome. TY for watching. :)

Did you use the three hall effect sensors for controller to function. if so could you show schematic ?

I did not. I used a china made controller from Amazon. www.amazon.com/DOMINTY-Electric-Brushless-Controller-Tricycle/dp/B07M9YMKMN/ref=sr_1_38?adgrpid=138345070010&hvadid=632832180121&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1028645&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=8937600333271029659&hvtargid=kwd-296540782208&hydadcr=22372_13333096&keywords=dc+brushless+motor+controller&qid=1683036210&sr=8-38

Scott I went the more expensive way, I got engineering company to make me. There are plenty videos on youtube how to make your own. Good luck! :) And thanks for watching!

    Hi.
Can you share motor part N for the one you using that came with alum winds?
    Thanks

    • @jakesvandermescht694
      @jakesvandermescht694  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Hey. So ALL my motors came with alumium windings. There is a DEFINIATE improvement if you rewire. If you use voltage as your primary driver, and not current, you will also wind it with thinner wire. I did 0.65 mm. In South Africa I bought these at a washing machine parts outlet and this is link to part no www.tecsareco.co.za/product/stator-assembly/5306 . thanks for reading and just have an awesome day man. Good luck with your efforts. ;)

      @@jakesvandermescht694 Thanks for the reply.
I have a custom rewound copper one I've done tests on. I bought one with a different model with Y on the end. Supposed to be pure copper already.
I rewound one with 16ga and cut most of the poles off.
I've done similar tests as you have, but with a different PMG style than the drum motor. The drum is a great prime mover.

Using it as a motor for what purpose?
I see most people turn it to a generator

My tests show me this rig can generate 800watts max power. It is not enough to change the world. ;)
