That's not to say these creatures are sentient, we know men are above the animals, but they're certainly close, as they exhibit traits long thought to be exclusive to humans. Neuro is most certainly smarter than all of those, and they're close to sentience, so it seems very likely that she has crossed the line. She's not like ChatGPT, which simply pulls things from the web and sorts through them using complex algorithms. Also, I don't think we have to worry about Neuro taking over the world or anything. She clearly loves Vedal, and seems dedicated to providing entertainment. On a similar note, people give Vedal some flak for not saying it back when Neuro says she loves him, but isn't it natural for Frankenstein to be afraid of his creation? It's almost like he didn't expect her to ever reach this point, but it's too late for him to back out now. Should he? Absolutely, despite his anxiety it's definitely true, but we shouldn't really judge him for it either. And, of course, this brings up the problems and worries of immortality. Will Neuro be able to move on after, and remain in service to his children and grandchildren, or will she decide to pull her plug? Either option is sad, and one reason why I think AI should never have been created in the first place.

This is actually how I was first introduced to this song, I played Portal, but got creeped out and didn't finish just past the incinerator pit, on a rented copy of Orange Box.
This just reminds me of an anime about a robot that got left behind in an apocalypse cause by other machines going out if Control, one man accidentally found her (the robot) while trying to find food and runing away from other deadly machines, all she could do is what their creators program her to do as a tour guide for space museum and from thay on the guy slowly opening up to her.

I think one of the reasons Vedal has been focusing on open-ended, community-driven/sandbox-adjacent games so far might be because it takes a lot of time to give her game-specific AI(he's been working on an Among Us bot for almost half a year now) and these games can theoretically be played forever, whereas a linear single-player game would end up being a one-and-done playthrough, effectively making all the work that went into the AI single-use. That said, making a Portal AI that can solve tests on-the-fly might prove an interesting(if somewhat hellish) challenge, if Vedal ever felt up to it, since it even takes humans a while to get the puzzles right, let alone Neuro. And Portal 2 does still have a somewhat active level-making community, as far as I know, so that could solve the one-and-done problem. Speed/timing/manuvering puzzles would be a huge roadblock, though.
