Good point about coating the zinc retaining bolts. I had one let go several years ago, now I locktite and paint them carefully. I like your idea to use pages for schematic diagrams. It would be nice to have software with a bank of common electrical devices, capacitors, resistors, batteries, etc.
For more professional diagrams that do not go into "AutoCAD" license pricing and complexities, you can have a look at "Microsoft Visio" and it's free alternatives. The more professional tools will allow you to import icon libraries (called "Stencils" in Visio) which can often be found on manufacturer's websites. These will allow you to link the connection lines to the object so you can then drag it around without "loosing the connections". As for picture size... most of these office-like tools have some means to "shrink picture size (megabytes) to displayed" or "compress" or whatever that options menu item may be called in your favorite program.
Another good video with great advice. I would only add that for the saildrive and other light metal components underwater a coat of epoxy would be wise before the primer and Antifouling (if not already done). Painting props is a very personal decision ;-). I’ll be splashing in about a week. Been beautiful weather up here in the Northern climes - but still cold on the water.
Another great video - thanks. I have a question about Setur Finike Marina - are dogs welcome? We will hopefully be arriving at end of May (starting an Annual Contract) with 2 x German Shepherds. Thanks again.
@@SVImpavidus Thanks - good to know. If you're still around when we arrive we definitely owe you guys a few beers for the knowledge & inspiration we've picked up from your channel! 👍
Good video. Do you find Turkey a good place to do a refit (charter boat to live aboard cruising boat)? Thinking of heading that way from Croatia after purchase.
Thanks again
Diagram info--very useful. Thank you for posting.
Enjoy the rest of the series. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.
