Honestly the hero mastery section feels like what the tutorial should be. The actual tutorial of the game only teaches you most of the basics if your playing soldier but the hero mastery focuses on individual heroes and what they can do. Jay3 was right when he said that you basically just play it once and youre done
The fact they're enhancing the "speed running" aspect of it is kinda cool
I love the competitive rework. Will actually start playing Ranked again in Season 9. Great improvements, also I dont get what the big deal with SR is. The progress bar is clear enough
i think GM1 and top 500 players want it back because that end of the spectrum is so competitive that a single number point can mean the difference between top 50 and top 100. also, the percentages already exist currently, and all it says for GM1 is "max rank" because the SR cap is so high that it's impossible to calculate a percentage after a certain point.
hopefully the new ultimate rank will fix that last problem, we don't know enough about it yet.

Imagine calling someone "money diff".
I know people may not like the Emerald skins, but I actually think it is pretty cool and unique. I think they should add some sort of decal or graphics onto it and change up the literal green hue. but I'm happy they didnt go with diamond, thats what every game does.
I'd love it if it was similar to the skins from OG MW2, have Blue Tiger, Red Tiger, Fall, etc etc. Create skins like that, and alternate them through each season. So Season 10 is Blue Tiger, Season 11 is Red Tiger, etc etc. It would be cool. But also allow you to get previous season's skins. Like 'convert' the competitive points that you currently have, to get the new skins. Or trade them in, 2 for 1. So if you have 6,000 competitive points, you can trade them in to get 3,000 of the new competitive points.
Holy the comp currently is insane! Its impossible to get out for bronze silver! I’d get 2 back to back 5-0s or 5-1s and my rank wouldnt change, sometime even downrank me

its just weird we have to go an two entire seasons without these changes that seem very basic, don't get me wrong its a step in the right direction and they're good changes but why do we have to wait another 3 months for essentially menu changes
Since they're going with a whole MMR reset I think they're trying to avoid what happened with ranking at launch. I would much rather have the system tested and working before release rather than players getting placed all over the board messing with everyone. I think the same is going to go for the progress meters and stuff too. just imagine they talked about the system making it feel better to play and know when you'll rank up just for the system to have bugs and make it seem like your supposed to ran up but instead you remain the same rank or worse you rank down.
@@AaelmfaoBDplaysbut couldnt things like the comp points menu screen and match rank range in a comp game and updates to rank coming every match instead of every 5wins/15losses be implemented right away? You dont need rank reset and the new MMR system for those things.
and it isnt anymore guaranteed to be working by season 9 then it is now, they announced it and showed photos of it so on some level they trust it enough to showcase and give a very soon and very direct release date, it seems more like it wasnt going to be ready for season 7 and they needed a big season update in the odd season since there wont be a new hero so they're pushing it all to season 9.
@@Darrakkii idk the match range thing probably isn't too hard to implement. I'm just thinking that the actual progression screen is what's going to take a minute to get it all sorted out. When you have different systems communicating with each other it can get a bit finnikey, keep in mind theyre re-intruducing the streak system as well as other modifiers that will influnce your rank beyond just win loss. I'm pretty sure the reason they're doing the hard MMR reset probably has something to do with a pretty major change to the progression system so it won't be as easy as just plug and play with what they already have.
As a side note one major secret in the game development industry, it's not hard to fake a screenshot, the more exciting you can make that screenshot look for investors(getting players excited and talking positively) the more likely your project is to continue being funded [More games than you would think have demos that arent like the full game at all because they wanted to make someone happy or have some "playable" version released by a certain date]. Your probably right about there not being some major piece of content planned for season 9 so that's where there'll be a major update, but I'm willing to bet that there still is development on the system in terms of bug fixes so that's why it's not being introduced next season.
Editing to add: The Microsoft buyout could also impact a few different things such as server hosting, or changes in staff. These also could impact the reason why the changes are happening later than next season but idk

"menu changes" as complex as this one (remember, it changes every single time you complete a competitive match, and there's thousands of players doing so at any given time) take so much coding it's really not as simple as you think. also they need to recalibrate and test the matchmaker since they're removing a lot of grouping restrictions. TRUST ME you don't want them to rush this one
She said "Diamond is above plat" for diamond weapons. But gold is lower than plat. Diamond is better than gold. Diamond weapons would be pretty nice.

I hope so, it definitely feels like a step in the right direction. But we can only judge it fairly once the changes are actually here. The only thing I'm really wanting them to bring back is the LFG feature but it doesn't sound like they have something in place for its replacement yet. These changes make me hopeful though

So with these new competitive revamp So they Made it so winning or losing doesn’t matter you’re still earn competitive points, but if you win, you Erna More Good change that means more people can get the golden gun and toxicity will decline hopefully.
you don't win more for a win, you just complete the goal faster. 3 games (if you have leftover progress from the last goal) is the least amount of games for a payout, and 10 is the max. it's still 200 points regardless. i only say this because this definitely gets rid of people camping ranks, only doing just enough to get end of season rewards, meanwhile their skill declines because they don't play competitively. you will get way more points if you actually play the mode! it's an even better change than you think 😊
Still needs SR number to show full transparent progress. Either +25 or -25 after a match. It works in every competetive e sport. Even in chess. Rating numbers are not arbitrary. They are there for a reason.
Show everyone's individual rank at the beginning of the match. Stop hiding match statistics and data. Stop trying to protect the feelings of these snowflakes who are too scared to play ranked.

Its a definitely great to see them improving these things but I still think allot of the players that left were because of hero missions were cancelled and I personally don't blame them if they never come back.
With the allegations around the s*xual harassment involved with Blizzard that were known about but ignored. Charging people top money for stuff they would have gotten for free before.
Removing so many things that were in Ow1 and then the final nail in the coffin by blatantly cancelling "PvE" before ow2 was even launched but they knew no one would play it if they announced it before.
They shot themselves in the foot and I can't see this game ever getting the love it had before. You mite see some player numbers increase but it wont be what it was.

There is still no seasonal reward for grinding ranked. Why is there no reward given based on rank outside of the stupid temporary titles? I still have no reason to try to win and push my rank higher in a given season. This sucks.
They want you to buy all of your rewards my friend. You need to understand the company running the game you like to play, they don't care about you unless you spend money on their products, it's why they took out the earnable loot boxes, it's why they make you pay for the PvE they half assedly released, that's why you can't earn gold in the battle pass, that's why when every event comes out there is a badass purchasable skin and a reskin you can earn. This company hates you if you don't spend at least 20$ a month on their products, you might as well be a fly on a turd to them

I was genuinely interested in the ranked system explanation, but it was incredibly hard to follow due to the constant loud outbursts. Very annoying and disrespectful to your viewers. Please consider finding a better balance between engaging with your audience and delivering the content clearly. This would greatly improve the viewing experience for everyone and possibly get you more subs.

Seeing the twinks and women on stage, it makes perfect sense how this team is literally able to accomplish nothing. They release a new broken hero every once in a while, put on funny little concerts with kpop groups, and make sure to constantly remove maps while only changing the time of day on current ones... Sure, don't add ANYTHING for PvP, heavily improve the graphics or change engines. Also change Mcree's name! That will keep the player base interested, that and making shiny bullshit in the battlepass
I played Hearthstone for 7 years , they added so many cards , heroes and systems . The game became less fun and more imbalanced/ridiculous everytime they try something then eventually its dead. I can see OW going the same direction, not a single new mode/concept is positive so far, people are happy everytime they changed it back to where it used to be, that's exactly what wrong direction means, the more they do the worse they are.

@evilasassin1313 idk, at least from my experience I actually missed OW1 towards its end, people were more willing to communicate, the people who did talk generally weren't toxic (there were some people who killed your mood for the day but it was few and far between). Yes 2CP could be awful and matches could last for more than half an hour but it was still a fun game. A lot of OW2 changes really have me log off for the day, even if I'm not on a loss streak. The added communication options like the ping system and new voicelines help but it's not the same and can be drowned out very easily.
There also wasn't a huge power creep from the supports, things could actually die, and nothing felt like it was Immortal. In OW1 if one of your teammates was lacking you could play around them and still win, in OW2 it feels like if anyone is lacking you basically get steam rolled. Since OW2s release only a handful of my games have actually felt fair, like either team had a chance of winning; it normally feels like you either have an advantage over a team or they have one over you. Maybe I'm just hyperceitical, but I will admit there are aspects I miss from OW1, but OW2 is trying its best to recover some of that so that's something
