@@awptsmI agree, as a Muslim myself. In Islam, when one wrongs another human, they have to seek forgiveness from God and from the wronged person. If they repent, God will forgive them, and then you, @awptsm, have a right to either forgive or not. If you do, you get heavily rewarded for your kindness, and if you don't, on the day of judgement, you will either take some of their good deeds or, if they don't have, give them your bad deeds. Amount equivalent to the wrong they did to u. So, yes some muslims sin however at the end of the day whats worse is ditching God, the One who created you and blessed you with so many blessings that we take for granted. May Allah guide me and you to the right path and forgives us for our lack to worship and praise Him the best we could. 💕

Easy to say but hard to implement, the most prevalent ideology amongst Muslim Youth is Salafism, this sect was supported, designed and channelled with anti-Muslim unity block. The Saudi and the anti Muslim Western pro Zionist powers ensure that this ideology is strong and rife amongst Muslims as it festers division, disharmony, hatred, superficial religious discussions, literal superficial understanding of deen and outright focus on fighting all non-Salafi schools. Meanwhile they support all the Pro-Zionist governments particularly the Saudi government which founded this ideology in its intelligence quarters.
The truth is, the Ummah has been in decline ever since this ideology has become the most prevalent school, especially in the West, google anything online first thing you get is IslamQA which is Saudi Salafi site.

Dr Elmasry represents something that "the west" and Israel have been trying to destroy, I don't think people realize how progressive countries like Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan were. I feel like people are kind of stuck with a very fundamentalist version of Islam because there aren't that many people that have studied law like Dr Elmasry. As an athiest its still very important to understand personal responsibility and how my actions affect others, we can choose to create or we can choose to destroy, yetzer hara, the lesson of Genesis 1.

‎ الحمدلله - ‎Alḥamdulillāh this is very good reminder, fix the definition of what victory is. Victory does not mean power or number of people. Instead, how many of us have our hearts attached to Allāh ﷻ and make Hereafter as our “dream”, our final ultimate destination, our home. May Allāh ﷻ keep our hearts firm in the remembrance of HIM 🤲🏽. May Allāh ﷻ put strong imān in our hearts to fulfill our duties in this life. 🤲🏽

Yes, really funny - they love the law and cleanliness of the west, but want to bring Islam, which failed to create law and cleanliness in their countries. Strange logic. Very similar to those who advocate for one state solution - to build a democratic country after giving israel citizenship to a few millions of palestinians. There is no single democratic muslim country, but in palestine it will definitely happen :)

There is awrah between woman and woman (which doesn't seem to be respected in segregated Arab weddings) and awrah between a woman and her father/brother. Force conversion is a Christian concept.
Massacre of 1391 was one of the largest attacks on Jews (after "Our movement is Christian"~HïtIər)who were ultimately forced converted to Christianity in 1492.
Jews had the Jewish Golden age under Islam. Maimonides (The most prolific and influential Torah scholar in the middle ages) was born under the Muslim leadership of Al-Andalus, Cordoba. Died in Egypt. Lived his whole life under Islam as one of the greatesr Jewish Rabbis in the history of Judaism.
On the contrary, Jews in the middle ages under Christian leadership were faced with a series of violent attacks, mass persecutions and massacres of Jews during the Black Death. Jewish communities were falsely blamed for outbreaks of the Black Death in Europe from 1348 to 1351.

And Sheikh al Akbar Muhyiddeen Ibn Arabi said not to be a person who only have “intellectual lust”. I realise that it is another extreme and was conscious after that about being balanced. So I understand when Dr. Shadi said abt not looking at books for the next 10 years.

On the matter of whether you cannot be friends with people of other religions, the point was this (to the best of my understanding): make friends for the sake of Allāh. So, if being friends with someone means you would have to compromise on your religion, give up that relationship. You are being friends with someone for another religion to basically give them dawah. Therefore, if your friendship takes on a life of its own, so that you are friends with them for your own sake, then that friendship will eventually become a test for you. However, if you are friends with them for the sake of Allāh, there will be natural boundaries within that relationship that you would not be able to cross, meaning the friendship will never take on heights and aspects that would violate the purpose of why you were friends with them in the first place. Finally, Allāh SWT said in the Quran not to take the non-believers as close friends and confidantes because they’ll always ever want you to leave the religion. We need to be aware of this mindset when we choose and make friends.
