I also have vitiligo! I got it genetically passed down to me from my most favorite person in the world, my grandma. Ever since I was little I was always different and I hated being "normal". When I was 14 I started to get white spots around my eyes and on my arms, and I thought it was amazing. The only time that I ever got upset over it was when the people at my school started to notice it and bullied me. Now I'm 17, I still love being different and unique, nobody bothers me with it anymore, unless they are curious. I am confident now because I share something with my grandma. P.S. I watch and love all of your videos!!

By "unique" I mean things like a big, whole face litup, smile with irregular teeth. I loved my ex-husbands' teeth. The the canines were pushed forward from the neighboring teeth. What the "less enlightened" (j/k! I am in no way "enlightened"! lol!) call an imperfect smile. I call it unique and fitting with his stunning, pure green (no contacts) eyes that are surrounded by long, dark lashes...those beautiful eyes shine when he smiles! His whole face lights up. And his teeth are part of that amazing smile. Would never want his canines pulled back to become even with the rest of his teeth by braces. I've never met anybody else with as fabulous of a smile as his. That is just one example of many. Different is unique. It is not "flawed". And it's beautiful! I'm glad you realize that. 😊
Same situation... but no one in my family has it. As I have gotten older... It comes and goes on my face, usually with hormones changing cause it to "pop up" more, but oh well... It's just me..., but on my hands have gotten "worse". And the hair that grows there becomes white.... Instant natural highlights....! No worries.. I can end up being pale no more tanning...LOL

But even the not orangy blonde and ash, turn to orange or red after washes or after using some conditioners or shampoos (even those specific for colored hair can turn the hair orange and brassy based on my experience) I noticed few conditioners and shampoos do not immediatly turn my hair reddish or orangish
I always love all the different techniques you show. You don't one-size-fits-all to everybody you take each person as an individual and you make it work for their hair for the look that you're giving to that individual person you make their identity come to the surface

Not a colorist, but Guy has helped me SO much in being a more educated customer. I never use to get my hair colored in fear of seeing so many tragic things happen, but ever since watching him I've gained the confidence to know how to spot a trustworthy colorist and identify the techniques and approaches that are safe and professional.

I am 14 and I have vitiligo as well on my legs, elbows, lower back, finger tips and ankles. I was made fun of a little since duh middle school but I learned to love myself. I would keep it if I could but it would spread too much. I do phototherapy, which is like a tanning booth but safe for your skin. It basically just brings back the pigment in my skin and it's slowly coming back to my original skin color. It takes a long tim to fully come back (for me it's been a year and still have a lot to go) we are even looking into a laser thing as well that might go faster. People need to know that vitiligo is only the appearance it has NOTHING to do with health. I got mine starting on my ankle when I was extremely homesick and stressed when I went to sleep away camp for the first time when I was 8. This is my story ;)

This was my fav yet. Beautiful transformation. SIDE NOTE: I was diagnosed at age 6 with vitiligo. I had lost about all pigmentation at all the 'hot spots' on the body like inside arm pits, behind knees, along my hair line and up my arms. I hated it and felt self-conscious, not to mention the money for medication creams that never worked to find out when I hit 25 it was just fungus. Sounds gross but anti fungal cream clotrimazole cleared it up. All of it. I spent my entire life slowly losing pigmentation and it was as cheap as 3 bux to fix. I know not everyone will be cured or have same results but I say if you have any pigment loss try it. 3 times a day for a month and see if it goes away.
I know I'm late to this video, but, ice gold is everything! It would be wonderful to see you adapt this colour type & technique to clientèle with coloured skin. I have seen so many Asian, black & Indian women attempt to go into the blonde range, only to have a stylist give them hair that clashes horribly with their skin. By not making this too ashy, OR, too golden, you avoid dullness AND brassiness, all without it being too beige & neutral. Thanks for sharing your brilliance with the rest of us.

I have hair down to my butt..and its super curly when wet ,But when it dries its wavy..any tips on keeping it curly...and if I cut it would it help form curls.?
Victoria Green cutting will definitely help your curls, since your hair is so long it is probably really weighed down. If you go to a salon that's deva curl certified they may be able to cut it in a way that helps your curls without losing a ton of length. Other than that, keep it moisturized, find your holy grail product (mine is ISO bouncy cream), and don't wash your hair more than once a week
I know this is an old comment but Denman brush while wet with a curl cream and diffuse with head upside down. The length is weighing your curls down. A devacut may help, I've never been them dol it in hair your length but i'm sure it can be done. Also, while hair is damp, do a loose high ponytail (pineapple) to give volume. Continue doing a pineapple throughout the week. Cutting it will definitely help your curls stay defined but you can try the methods mentioned if you're wanting to keep length. Braids, two strand twists, denman brush/diffuser, scrunching, cornrows, help as well. Look up natural hair videos
••Victoria •• Grate comments here; I would suggest a bit of light peripheral layering to keep the length and a decent healthy bottom line on the under-layers, but remove the excess weight on the top blended shorter layers so to prevent them from weighing down your curls.

I have hair down to my butt..and its super curly when wet ,But when it dries its wavy..any tips on keeping it curly...and if I cut it would it help form curls.?
Try using a curling cream or mousse in your damp hair, scrunch it with your hands and let air dry, or blow dry with a diffuser 😊
Victoria Green cutting will definitely help your curls, since your hair is so long it is probably really weighed down. If you go to a salon that's deva curl certified they may be able to cut it in a way that helps your curls without losing a ton of length.
Other than that, keep it moisturized, find your holy grail product (mine is ISO bouncy cream), and don't wash your hair more than once a week

I know this is an old comment but
Denman brush while wet with a curl cream and diffuse with head upside down. The length is weighing your curls down. A devacut may help, I've never been them dol it in hair your length but i'm sure it can be done.
Also, while hair is damp, do a loose high ponytail (pineapple) to give volume. Continue doing a pineapple throughout the week.
Cutting it will definitely help your curls stay defined but you can try the methods mentioned if you're wanting to keep length.
Braids, two strand twists, denman brush/diffuser, scrunching, cornrows, help as well.
