    This video should be presented by Arenanet for new players. It's precise and professional. Actually shows you what to do as you're talking. Too many videos spend a lot of time talking about nothing because the person didn't plan ahead. This is the first time I've seen someone show how to make the Mystic Salvage Kit, and it looks so easy! You got a new subscriber sir. Keep it up.

    if you put unidentified gear in a shared inv slot (swap with copper fed temporarly) they will not be salvaged by "salvage all", so no need to manually salvage the identified ones when inv space is low

    Many math people in the community have calculated over the years that:
    - Copper for blues and lower
    - Runecrafter's for greens
    - Silver-fed for rares and exotics
    - Black Lion for rune extraction out of exotics
    is especially long-term the most cost-efficient/profitable way. Yes, updates change the exact stats here and there a bit, but overall it has been the best strategy so far. It didn't change at any point.
    That being said, it only makes sense if you are dedicated to the game, don't mind spending a good chunk of gems, and see yourself playing the game for at least the next 1-3 years. For most, your method is for sure the best value method.

    • @firby7341

      has the silver fed in a shared inventory slot any benefit over the mystic kit in a shared inventory slot? i have so many of those mystic forge stones that i can make plenty of the mystic kits, so i never saw a value in getting the gem one, but maybe theres something im missing?

    A couple of thoughts and additional tips:
    1. Put your pieces of unidentified gear into special bags or a shared inventory slot so they don't get salvaged by using the salvage all options of salvage kits
    2. If you don't have a lot of space but want to bulk open a couple of unidentified gear: Use the "Use all" option and quickly close and reopen your inventory when you've opened enough of them by pressing your inventory keybind twice (it's the default "I" in my case). The closing of your inventory interrupts the "Use all" option and you can start salvaging the gear that you've unpacked.
    3. Just send the depositable materials to your bank, even if you plan to sell them. This has a couple advantages: Maybe, you'll find out in the meantime, that you actually need stacks of those for something you want to craft and will be happy you kept them. Or you can put them up for selling in the TP in whole stacks, essentially saving time on the 3fps trading post window ;)
    4. Tip for buying items in bulk: You can click and hold into the number field next to the buy button and move your mouse up or down to quickly change the value up and down. It's easier to hit that number input instead of the arrows next to it - especially if you use the high visibility cursors - and it's quicker than typing the exact amount or clicking on the arrows. It will automatically stop once you reach a limit (inventory slots needed for the bought materials, currency limits exceeded, daily limits exceeded).

    Hey my man. Just found your vids, lovely and consice guides!
    Just a tip tho: if you place a selling bid, don't undercut the competition unless what you are selling is completely worthless. If demand is high (for example ore demand is always high), in time the market will balance out on higher prices (to meet the supply line), so you can sell at even +15-20c/unit in instances. Most of the times you can drive the price up by 5-6c/unit, which in bulk can add up real fast!
    Hope that makes sense, english isn't my mother tongue :p. Love the vids, waiting for more!

    • @avoxtr

Apparently I can just destroy these once they're in my collection. Not intuitive. Cheers!

    • @avoxtr
      @avoxtr  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, they need to do a better job not leaving you with the inventory trash for unlocked skins. The idea is you can use the item to apply a skin without consuming a transmutation charge, but most people would rather have the inventory space!

    One trick that I've found is if you have say, 25 unidentified bags but only have 15 or so free spaces, I drag the 25 unidentified bags to the shared inventory, then shift click and drag the stack back to the regular inventory.. half the bags will be transferred. You can then open them, salvage them all at once, then drag the remaining half to the regular inventory, open and salvage. No need to individually click to salvage items, though that works too.

    I rarely ever sell greens on tp. I was using journeyman salvage kits before I got myself a runecrafter. Since i got that, the rate of getting charms and symbols has really rocketed. So by that, I'd say runecrafter is worth going for after copperfed considering the amount of greens you get is bonkers. I don't really think silverfed is necessary but just pure convenience.

    • @avoxtr
      @avoxtr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've heard a few people recommend Runecrafters just because their output is good and apparently they're DIRT CHEAP to own and operate!

    • @sh1ro9
      @sh1ro9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@avoxtr The main reason is runecrafter is kind of a unique item with no in game counterpart. The closest being master/mystic salvage kits with 80% salvage rate for upgrade materials. One side note is if I get an exotic, I check for runes and sigils in it first to compare the prices. If the upgrades are quite expensive, I use a black lion salvage kit to retrieve them and sometimes, you also get imbued inscriptions. Like you said, the TP is quite badly optimised and 5fps is a good lucky day for my potato pc xD. So I just give like 15-20 minutes or so after a day or two to unload everything onto the tp.

  • @gamerguys392
    @gamerguys392 ปีที่แล้ว

    As of right now, Green are not worth opening at all, unless you take extra steps along the way to convert materials and stuff. Which isn't very beginner or early game friendly.
    Blues, are almost always worth opening before salvaging.
    While yellows are not worth it if you can't extract the rune and use the silver or mystic salvage kit on both the item and rune. This would yield a small profit or at best break even.
    Only time it is worth it overall is if you also salvage the ectoplasm and use the crystalline dust for conversion and make big profits.
    TLDR:
    To quickly clean inventory and make a bit more money:
    Always open Blue and salvage with copper
    (almost) always sell greens.
    Only open Yellows if you can also extract the rune/sigil otherwise just sell them.

    • @avoxtr
      @avoxtr  ปีที่แล้ว

      Check your achievements panel, a lot of them are logged as achievements as soon as you have them, even if you don't hang onto them. NORMALLY you'd only need to hang onto them if you need to use the items to actually craft something after. Those keys are annoying because you need the pieces in your inventory to actually form the Tricolor key, so that's an example of something you DO want to hang onto, if you care about making those keys of course.

    I don't understand why they hide useful options behind obscure search phrases

      It's really not an intended "option" they're giving us, it's more a trick we can pull off to catch a common description for containers!

    5:30 bro that's under-cutting it's so annoying and can go wrong for you. If everybody does it, you'll quickly find a bunch of items sell for much less. I've had materials almost half due to people under-cutting. I wouldn't recommend doing this all the time.

    this dude looks like Björn Ironside. If i saw him in RL i would assume he hunts bears and eats them as a hobby but he plays GW2. That is a glitch in the Matrix.
