If you were meeting your hero for the very 1st time (& I'm assuming this was the first time Monique met Whoopi) face to face, you would be starstruck and in awe as well. She tried to focus on the other women, but she was too wrapped up in Whoopi to even notice them.
I don't blame Monique at all! Whoopi is just awesome! Love or hate her politics, this is just a woman who is sooooo embracing of everyone no matter who or what they are! Whoopi just sends out a vibe that it's okay to be you -- no need to put on a show. She's especially revered by Generation X black performing artists because she was who was saw growing up in the 1980's.
What's nice here is that Coleman is of a generation where, for the most part, the first African American actress she would have seen is Goldberg an inspiration, on many levels, of women period.
i feel so bad for monique in this clip...she filmed this saying "there are so many wholesome girls on HSM" on Tuesday, it was aired Friday and Thursday (the day before it was airead and two days after they filmed it) came the scandal of Vanessa Hudgens
I'm almost 30 and I also look like I'm 18. fortunetly the more i get old, the less it bothers me. btw, I would have the same reaction in front of Whoopy Goldberg. She is my hero.
@Ramubay that make her real compare to other, coz even the film success she is staying herself, like if she meet Whoopi before the film she still react the same as she just did. cant help it, she is down to earth
she is she was so cought up in whoopy she payed no attention to the rest im not attacking her its that i think she should pay a little more attention to the other women since there also doing the interview thats all. monique is a wonderful actress but need to realize she should be respectfull to the other interviewers :)
They share the same birthday!!! Happy belated birthday to you both Monique and Whoopi!!!
