WCB is 60 minutes. The other buffs are either easier to get (while being nearly ungriefable during the process) or last 2 hours. The duration of WCB didn't matter in MC or BWL, but very much did matter in AQ40 and Naxx. Especially after all the safe summoning shenangings (every relog in the wild takes half a minute of your buff), buffing and drinking up before the run starts,etc.. Now imagine if you go for WCB first as an alliance player. Even if you have summoning teams for every buff location, you will at most have 50 minutes left. (literally every relevant speed running guilds had summoning teams EVERYWHERE.) Zanza is only risky if you didn't have an alt raid ready. (Or some hidden summoning spot inside a tree crown somewhere on the edge of booty bay zone on top of a hill ;) )

@@AlrikMelania You have a perfect scaling buff for all classes in Blessing of Kings, another perfect buff in Blessing of Salvation. You can easily say as mentioned Dennis, be happy with that. Windfury that affect melee only doesn't compare.
Imo, those most hit by the wcb-war on Firemaw weren't the "willing" war participants, but innocent casual raiders who were collateral damage lacking awesome summoning spots and spotting teams. If one of the guys you wanted to have in your video lost his buffs, it was a bummer, but it was part of the game and the top guilds had a massive support system of summoning teams - in turn we would get a laugh out of those highlight videos and the discord banter. If buffs kinda lined up and people didn't troll in the discord you could literally be fully buffed up in an hour realtime again. Now imagine you are a sad little puppy doing grey logs without buffs and lacking the kind of guild support system of the war parties, going for those juicy buffs to make your logs green - just to get dispelled, while your wife shouts from the kitchen that your children just puked on the floor again. I understand their pain. I think most casuals didn't know what they signed up for when they made their char on Firemaw other than "big surber gud".
