Why do Earth faults occur in a transformer? When the transformer neutral is grounded, this fault trips the HT breaker. And if we isolate neutral there is no tripping occur, is there any solution to get rid of this?

Hello Sir..thanks for this lecture. Sir I want to know why gnd faults in star side are not reflected on the delta side. This concept not clear to me. We say zero seq current fkows within d closed delta and then wat abt star wdg. Also at this point I am confused abt faults getting transferred frm one side to d other. Sir pls ckear all these doubts. Thank you so much in advance.
Sir I wud like some topics like:
    1. Area classification (hazardous area)
    2. Selection criteria for motor sel for haz area.
    3. Cathodic prt
    4. Cable trench seq of cables clearances etc.
    5. Substation requirements door opening..panel clearances..no of entry exit door ht trafo fence or wall ht etc.
    6. Arrangement of cables on cable tray.

Hello Sir, could you please tell me why there is no ñeutral for HT. Where does unbalance current flow in HT.

    Very nice sir,
I have a fault seen that when I close the 1 Mva transfo on 11kv the transfo trip on earthover current,
    Tripping values are like
    I1 1.30 amp
    I2 1.35 amp
    I3 1.32 amp
    I0 3.93 amps
These values are secondary of ct.
Please help what can I do?

Hello Sir, I have a question. After carrying out a DGA analysis on a transformer, the fault detected was a low thermal fault (t < 300 degrees celsius). I just want to know what is the impact of a low thermal fault? should the transformer still be in service? and what are the possible consequences? Thank you.

Hi, no problem, you can continue to work it. thats why is the impact of low thermal fault. transformer can be in service but it should be strictly followed by DGA analysis (one DGA analysis per 3 months). after these intervals, if it is still rising, follow IEEE C57.104 and decide to repair it.
