Great review! I think the 26650 is a much better choice than the 21700 for several reasons 1) like you said can be charged by the majority of chargers out there. 2) it is cheaper and easier to find good quality ones - try finding a 5000mah quality 21700. 3) makes using 18650's as spares easier. 4) plus makes flashlight size in hand more comfortable. 5)Industry is trying to force another battery type on us.

Great review mate!I have the older version and although I love it in many ways,I wish that Thrunite would have raised the mode switch/on-off button higher and made it slightly larger so to find it easier in the dark.

Thanks! It's brighter, but that's just the turbo mode, which has limited run time. If one discounts the turbo modes, a lot of new flashlights are not that much different from the older ones :]

Do you know of a light that can have a good range but also a wider coverage? I just started looking at lights for emergencies but like the idea of a good throw . I feel throwers are really good to catch anything incoming that would be out of your normal range of flashlights and can avoid any surprise encounter .
I’m not good at guessing ranges , but maybe something that can reach to the tree line that was across the lake aswell as a bit more width to the range ?
I was looking into some good lanterns for like a random flat at night somewhere but then wanted a good flashlight . This is pretty solid for sure but I wish it wasn’t as laser focus and had more spread
Well I'm late to comment here but I spent a few weeks looking and comparing lights ~100€ range and Sofirn SP70 was pretty much the widest spread while being a thrower. It also had dual batteries inside. However it's the size of an oldschool torch but if you don't mind that it's pretty much the best bet under 300€.
Not as good as the fenix ones with no hotspots, I use one on my ebike it's like having car headlights on it.
So you're comparing this to a flood light? Wish you would have given the model #, I like Fenix I have over 20 of them and not aware of any of them with this much throw for the size.
I buy the thrunite catapult V6.on turbo after 15 second U cannot hold on to it. No body on TH-cam has mentioned this issue.maybe mine just fauty
It is possible the battery is low, this could cause it to not hit turbo mode. They do not ship the battery fully charged, due to safety protocols.
It's not faulty, that's just heat disapation from the light ,you got to remember that it's kicking out over 2,800 lumens ,that's a lot of light🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dude that light is putting out 2,838 lumens on turbo, it's going to get hot ,thers nothing wrong with it great light ,I use mine almost every night scanning the woods if I don't see any eyes looking back at me I turn it off ,i dont let mine get too hot ,If it is used for a long time it's going to build up some heat
If only it had more lumens......
In the flashlight world, just wait a day or two and someone will come out with one twice as bright :D
Trying to find reveiws on the thrunite catapault mini, its a smaller flashlight, iuts confusing because a lot of reviewers seem to be labeling the thrunite catapault v6 mini, when its not a mini version, the mini version looks like this thrunite.com/catapult-mini-metal-grey/
