He doesn’t “play around” when he crosses the try line. The conversion (your point after) is taken from where the ball is touched down, so a player assesses the viability of trying to get closer to the posts, making the kick easier, against being tackled and losing the ball. Yes, you can be tackled until you’ve grounded the ball.

4:00. It's actually called a "try", but this is where American football got the word "touchdown" because when they changed the rules from rugby they apparently decided to not actually have to touch the ball down but call it one anyway. This is probably where spiking the football came from too...

It's called a "Try" when you put the ball down beyond the line. If you fall over the line and the ball is held up in the air it's also not a "Try"

@@ironmaiden9697 I wouldn't call him the best rugby player of all time. That honour goes to Richie McCaw (NZ), or Frik Du Preez (SA) or Gareth Edwards (Eng). Jonah was a freak of nature and very big and strong. He walked over opponents on his way to score a try.. however, in his prime, the defence of the Springboks kept him from scoring any try in the 1995 World Cup that day. He was tackled good and solid. Which proves again, tackle your man low around the ankles, and he can't go forward. Cheers... 🏉

He can't be a running back. NFL does very little running. More stop/start crap going on in 60 minutes that half the game is lost to all the technical stuff. A rugby player with that kind of speed needs to keep moving non stop for 80 minutes
