Can we just stop to look back at Songs of Time, then Bad Time, Five Nights at Freddy's, all the different animes and other things Nate has written music about and watch his person grow? I might have subscribed after the most of Five Nights at Freddy's songs was already released, Nate had a lot of fans before I even knew about him, but I feel like, seeing this, I'm probably the proudest person alive right now. You've come so far Nate, and this is only just the beginning. I like to think of Sandcastle Kingdoms as your entry ticket to the rest of the world. Keep up the incredible work and soon the name Nathan Sharp is going to be as big as Brendon Urie, Hayley Williams or Billie Joe Armstrong. And then, at some point in the future, a fan of yours is going to ask you to play a song. But he won't ask you for Sandcastle Kingdoms, he won't ask you for Live Long Enough to Become the Hero, he won't ask you for StopRewind. Instead, you're going to hear the name Monster Inside, or Nightmare, and for a split second there, you might not even remember that song he's talking about, but then you'll get this flashback from 2015 and a few tears appear in your eyes. The feeling of nostalgia will fill the room and with incredible happiness in your heart, you'll do it. The years old lyrics about a random nerdy game or show will play out into the night once again, stronger than ever before. And then you'll remember this comment, that predicted it all and with that, Sandcastle Kingdoms, the huge milestone for your adventure. That's actually longer than I intended it to be when I first started to write that comment. Phew.

I don't know what the significance of the Nerf flamethrower was, but other than that, this was amazing. I'm so glad you're making original songs now. They're so damn good.
I am considering calling this song the song of my life, simply because the lyrics fit it so well. I tend to rarely show weakness to be able to support others, and nobody knows how I am, just because of how my mind works. I never tend to listen to things like everything will be okay, because I wont stop until I'm sure that it will be myself. And Nate, if you see this, thank you so much for what you do. I love your songs! And to others who read this, thank you for letting me take some of your time, and letting me ramble on. Laterz! o/
I pre-ordered the CD, my friends always want to relisten to this one the most. But i just jam out to all of it when I'm driving. You're a musical genius!
Koala's fun place She's a paladin who's obnoxiously in love with Nate's character in Dice Camera Action. I suggest you watch it, it's super long and Nate doesn't get very good until like 20 episodes through Season 1 so you may want to start from Season 2. The characters are Paultin (Nate's character) who's basically drunk probably-gay Nate, Evelyn (Anna Robinson's character) who is a very strong tiny religious lady, Diath (ProJared's character) who's the only sane one, Strix (Holly Conrad's character) who is easily startled and really likes fire, and all the other people played by Chris Perkins and assorted guests. TL;DR character who encourages Nate's character do stupid things.
Holy crap this is good. This is seriously giving me goose numbs. This songs sound, the notes, it is resonating within me! People don't write music like this anymore!! Nate please don't ever fall into the mainstream techno pop. What you make is quality
This song has become the theme song for a character in a story I've written with a friend. It's amazing how perfectly it fits him, and there are many times that it was so beautiful to imagine this perfect song playing beneath the action. This, along with the entire SK album, works amazingly with our story, and kept us writing; it even inspired a few powerful lines. Live long enough to become a hero is probably my favorite song from the album. (Also, Nate with a flamethrower is super awesome lol)
Hi Nathan. Not sure you’ll ever read this but I’ve been a subscriber since you covered the theme for mob psycho 100 and I’d just like to say that I hope you’ll continue to keep growing. You make wonderful music that most of us can relate to. You are one of my favorite artists. Keep shining!!!
Hey Nate, I've been subscribed to you for years now. And I just wanted to say, thank you for this song. This song has gotten me through so much. Freshman year of high school beat me up to the point where I would usually get straight Fs. My mom would cry over me and my unsure future almost everyday. When I heard this song though, it inspired me to do better. It inspired me to climb out of the ditch I dug for myself and do better not just for myself, but for my mom too. I'm now doing much better in school and have plans to become a teacher and inspire younger people who are like how I was back in freshman year. Keep doing what you do Nate, and again, thank you.
Got to see him perform this live last weekend. It was incredible, he's got amazing stage presence. We were in this tiny venue and he performed it like he was at a huge concert hall.
This song always give me hope. It shows that even if you don't know what's coming, so long as you're willing to fight for what's right then you won't fail. And even if you do, getting back up always makes you stronger.
In all of the time that has passed since this video was released, I don't believe a day has passed without me listening to this song in particular at least once. Thanks a lot, Nate.
Who let Nate get his hands on a sword? If he keeps that any longer he won't live long enough to become a hero because he'll probably trip over it and impale himself. P.S: I'm not hating. I'm just joking.
That's insulting... and -somewhat funny- TOTALLY NOT FUNNY HOW DA -hehehehe- IT'S NOT FUNNY! Seriously though, I hope Nate lives long enough to become a villain... villain music is so much better than hero music.
As someone who has no idea what my purpose in life is, and is struggling with intrusive thoughts and such, this song is a big inspiration for me. Once you pay attention to the lyrics, it's actually one of the best inspirational songs I've ever listened too! And when there was a flame on your shoulder(No, not a chip, a flame okay) and you had to blow it out actually made me chuckle. :D Thank you so much for your music, Nate!
Songs like this remind me why i fell in love with Nathan. He puts so much feeling into what he does and it makes it so much better then just singing words and moving on. Keep it up Nate. We love you!!!
I'm assuming this was the video Nate was talking about a while back... Well I could see now why he was excited to show this to us, it was sick as frick.

The fact that Nate had a katana sparked this whole conversation between me and my friend about what kind of sword we want.

I discovered you because of your covers, and I fall in love with your music with every upload! Your original songs are so awesome! I love the lyrics, and the music is kick-ass!!
I don't know what the significance of the Nerf flamethrower was, but other than that, this was amazing. I'm so glad you're making original songs now. They're so damn good.
Nate with that flaming samurai sword be like: "RYUJIN NO KEN WO KURAE!!"
But seriously, that was fucking awesome! Just like the rest of the album :)
Kirstine Poulsen Old man Natamoto
I LOVE NATE!!! His own songs and covers have helped me through so much.
Laterz! o/
I just want to give a shoutout to Mike. Amazing work! You truly created a worthy video for this song.
THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH!
I pre-ordered the CD, my friends always want to relisten to this one the most. But i just jam out to all of it when I'm driving. You're a musical genius!
Ok who let Nate get his hands on a flaming sword and gun 😂
Koala's fun place I blame Evelyn.
DapperCuttlefish Wait, who's Evelyne? (Or, however you spell it... XDDD)
Thanks for the help! I've seen people talking about that, and I was really confused... XD
Is it here on TH-cam?
DapperCuttlefish Evelyn would give him a flaming sword and gun XD
No matter how many times I try to listen to new music, I always come back to Nate and this album. Can't believe how good it is
Holy crap this is good. This is seriously giving me goose numbs. This songs sound, the notes, it is resonating within me! People don't write music like this anymore!! Nate please don't ever fall into the mainstream techno pop. What you make is quality
This is the most kingdom hearts song I've heard of
Still to this day this song is one of my favorites from this album
dude love the fire effects you did
This is absolutely fantastic.
Nathan Sharp plays the vocals & guitar at the same time and He is all alone again. 😃
I’m so late to the Nate party but I’m in love omg
Is it just me? or is this a responce to 'id love to break it to you'? Maybe its me XD
Coming back to this song after Ghost Town, the sequel song, it really makes it hit way harder.
Nate, don't think we didn't see the Axel reference ;-)
We got it memorized.
Love it! Like, SO much, dude. Unbelievably hyped for the album.
This is such an amazing song.😯 I can't stop listening to it constantly.
This is definitely my favourite song so far! The video is so good, the lyrics are beautiful and I love the vocals
Found my favorite song of all time... Good job, Nate! Continue to make amazing music!
omg nate your so fucking AWSOME!!!!!!!
i agree big time!!! he's not just awesome, he's incredible! miraculous even!!!
*Nate

In all of the time that has passed since this video was released, I don't believe a day has passed without me listening to this song in particular at least once. Thanks a lot, Nate.
"Make sure you've got it memorized"
Does the finger-to-the-head point
Fire effects
I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE, NATHANIEL
Can't wait for this album to be released! Known you for 3 years and I'm so proud of you dude
HeyHeyHaley same dood same

The Philippines I have practically zero chance of ever seeing you live 😭
One of my top 5 fav artists of all time
I've been sick for over a year now and I swear that this song has helped me so much through my journey. Thank you so much
I'm just listening to this on repeat for about 2 hours while making a school project. This is a great song and I love it!
So proud of you Nate! Just for how far you have come :3 We all love you. I'm crying rn
Isabell Chavez me too 😭😢
Who let Nate get his hands on a sword?
If he keeps that any longer he won't live long enough to become a hero because he'll probably trip over it and impale himself.
P.S: I'm not hating. I'm just joking.
That's insulting... and -somewhat funny- TOTALLY NOT FUNNY HOW DA -hehehehe- IT'S NOT FUNNY!
Seriously though, I hope Nate lives long enough to become a villain... villain music is so much better than hero music.
I know! Hero's can be really overrated
mathig nihilcek he is a villian. look up big bad bosses
I hope this is a reference to him protesting about getting the sword hilt in Dice, Camera, Action.
DapperCuttlefish Maybe....
I want that flame sword so badly!
3 years later and this song still goes hard! I love this song so much!
Every time I hear this song I jump in joy, even though I listen to it 24-7!!!
One of his best songs. amazing performance Nate, keep up the good work😊👍
AH I CANT WAIT FOR MARCH 1st
Fregemint ITS SO CLOSE. TWO MORE DAYS
i found it hilarious that you had a nerf gun on hand for this! XD
It looks more like a water fun to me.
Wait he had a nerf gun -oh wait-
As someone who has no idea what my purpose in life is, and is struggling with intrusive thoughts and such, this song is a big inspiration for me.
Is it normal.
I'm in Love with Nate

Nate with flames + his singing = Flaming body to the max!
It keeps going from modern rock to metal, AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL
I agree I love his songs I only listen to Nate and fall out boy and a few other songs but other than that just Nate and fall out boy
I'm assuming this was the video Nate was talking about a while back... Well I could see now why he was excited to show this to us, it was sick as frick.
