all this theory started from that MTG information. its cool u actually researched the comic. everytime i refer to adventure time or steven comic no one even knew they existed so credits to u
The two kindoms are the gems and humans the shadow curtain barrier is the indifference between the two species the wizard is rose. she was able to cross the shadow curtain by essentially becoming steven, and dying in the process. steven is the bridge between humans and gems.
When you talked about "creating life with their minds" I inmmediatly thought of Rose room. Maybe she DID try to create life with her mind and that's why her room is like that. Maybe Lion is in fact a creation of Rose mind.
I have a pretty HUGE theory. That theory is that LAPIS LIED TO STEVEN ABOUT HOW SHE GOT IN THE MIRROR. Alright, soI was re-watching some episodes on tv a few hours ago, and I noticed that Peridot didn't know what rain was. This means that on homeworld they don't have rain, or water in the first place, especially because gems don't need to eat, drink or sleep. If they have no water on homeworld, you can assume that Lapis Lazulis were made specifically for the purpose of fighting the war on Earth by controlling water and the like. So Lapis was obviously a field test of some sort, so it's kind of suspicious that she got "caught up in the war", when she was supposed to actually be there to fight. This also makes sense that the gem didn't recognize her and poofed her, because she was a new variety of gem, and thought she was an enemy. But usually, it would take more than a thousand years to complete a gem in a kindergarten, so if the war was supposedly only 1000 years long according to Pearl, how come Lapis was there in time for the war? Might they have been lying about the time the war took place, or did they prepare Lapis Lazulis a long time before the war so they could get the upper hand as an ace of the homeworld forces? And if they prepared long before, how come Rose, Pearl, and Sapphire didn't know about it?They were quite obviously the right hand "men" of their respective diamonds. Rose wasn't a rebel back then, and she was a quartz, so she had to have gotten some information on it. Pearls are like 2nd in command as servants, as they are always seen by a diamond's side, so how come Pearl didn't know? Sapphire was relied on by Blue Diamond, so how come she didn't know? Or perhaps we know less about Rose than we think? Maybe Rose went long ago to scout out Earth and reported her findings so that they could know what new gems to prepare for the war. This was how Lapis Lazulis came along. So in coming to Earth, Rose first had ill intent, but when she sees the beauty, she starts the revolution? Share your thoughts on this.
Gonna shoot this down on the fact that Peridot has perfectly good reason to not know what rain was. In Gem Drill (i think that's the episode) she acknowledges that she misses Homeworld DESPITE NEVER HAVING SEEN IT. She was born but immediately removed and placed on a ship to go do her work. Doesn't exactly rain in space-ships, nor would that be needed for gems. On the other hand, Lapis does seem to have proactive memories of Homeworld, actually walking around it, and this is with all of her water powers and the like. It is possible for Homeworld to have water, even if it's not "necessary". Regardless, other planets throughout the galaxy are bound to have water, so it is reasonable that someone said "Hey, it'd be really useful to have a warrior that can manipulate this water stuff" long before they arrived on Earth.
+Desknight She had to have seen home world because she captured Lapis when Lapis flew there. We have definitive proof Lapis made it to home world because of the transmission. And she also mentions a peridot on home world knowing his name, so my theory is still quite plausible
OKAY WAIT DANG SECOND DOES THAT MEAN LION IS ROSE QUARTZ'S MIND!? Since Steven is part human he wouldn't need Rose Quartz's mind to be a part his own body because he would already have his own mind.
Check out AJ Universe's videos, they're based on actual concrete evidence in the show. This video is basically fan fiction, or like when I played power rangers as a kindergartner an wondered 'what if' the blue ranger fought the red ranger and became the leader.
I don't care if its 'concrete evidence' I just thought this guy is going WAY deep and that was kinda cool/funny. And I'm familiar with AJ, he is really good and I enjoy his channel the most. I like how similarly we think.
Christina Hathaway True. I'm not saying there isn't value in this video or ones like it, I was just expecting a real theory rather than a hypothetical, fanfic-style story. That's what gets me excited for new episodes, and fills the frequent gaps in their release.
"Pearl will be the first gem to become corrupted on screen" *1 year later,in the episode Earthlings* **Jasper becomes corrupted on screen** Me: _nice._
omg, how did you not see it? rose was the only one to pass through because she became part of steven.... hear me out, the shadow thingy is meant to represent the link between home world and the gems+humans the only one to make the link was rose because she gave up her physical form to become part of steven.... so she died 'die/not die' but still exists in some form with no physical body. thats how it links together....
Pearl is the likeliest of the gems to corrupt. Garnet is probably the farthest, being she has a stable relationship. Amethyst would be after Pearl. I mean, Pearl is recovering. But, she is still saddened. Broken. No faith on herself.
The recent events have me going insane every which way. WE'RE ALL CORRUPTED MAN, WE JUST DON'T KNOW IT YET. THE SONGS, IT WAS THE SONGS ALL ALONG. WE WERE DOOMED FROM THE INTRO!
fascinating, that leads to the thought of Steven being some kind of summoning by rose quartz. the end of her pregnancy being his form sealing around her gem, crushing away (poofing) her physical form ("gave up her physical form to make you")
"I can do no wrong, for I do not know what it is" life itself is only a vision, a dream. Nothing exists say empty space and you. And you are nothing but a thought...
As I watch this when Jasper is corrupted, it makes even more sense. In Pearl's corruption, as she helps the other gems like Desknight stated, both her and Jasper become uncorrupted (and possibly other gems) thus beginning Jasper's redemption arc. Maybe?
Since we're into Season 4 now, I believe that Steven will (soon or not) be able to fully "heal" corrupted gems, either starting with Jasper or someone else that is important to him. I'd also like to mention that Steven has both healing abilities and astral projection, which I think will play a key part in healing the corrupted gem's broken mind.
...I mean, this theory's cool and all, and I would totally love it. But I have a problem. Don't you think it's a little soon for you to be expecting this to happen? I mean, I speculate that "Everyone Out of Beach City" is a title that implies an army of Homeworld Gems or even Yellow Diamond herself arriving on earth, and the town becomes a battlefield. I think 21 11 minute episodes isn't enough to resolve things like Lapis's healing and her growth of not hating the gems, whatever the hell's up with Jasper, or the entire approaching "Earth Vs Homeworld" arc. Not to mention inevitable filler episodes and episodes dedicated to Steven and Connie. So I like this story idea, but I don't see it happening until like season 5. Not at the end of season 3 and into 4.
well maybe we'll have some episodes in season 3 that have the temple slowly become relevant again. Then maybe some monsters escape and they slowly become present again. Then this arc would start, maybe just after or during the battle w/ home world
I think the gems turn corrupted because of the flash. In Same Old World, during Lapis's backstory, there was a flash during the war. I t the flash was supposed to shatter the gems. But, they accidentally corrupted them. I found this on AJ Universe. :P
i read a theory somewhere about construction gems, like the pyramid gem (if it isnt white diamond) and the desert glass, and there was a theory that the inside of the temple is the production of the crystal heart which would probably in turn mean that the inside of its "mind" would just be the architecture and layout for the inside of the temple which is a cool thought either that or the crystal heart was a gem that was mad corrupted and theyre just going inside her brain whenever theyre going inside the temple but like, with their tendency to bubble the corrupted gems itd kinda go against their principle i think
It's easy to say that Last One Out of Beach City is going to be a Yellow Diamond oriented episode, but hear me out for a sec Ever heard of Chekhov's Gun? The long and short of it is that there's no point in wasting exposition on something that isn't of later relevance to the story. Now what's a plot element that's constantly brought up within SU, so often that we don't even give it a second thought? THE BUBBLED GEMS!!! From what we've seen there are dozens, if not hundreds of them, all just peacefully bubbled in the Crystal Temple. The point I'm trying to make is that somehow, at some point in the series, those bubbled gem monsters are going to escape and wreak havoc on Beach City at least, and I think that's probably what "Last One Out of Beach City" is going to be about. Now this next bit might be pure conjecture, but I think "Last One Out of Beach City" is a play on the phrase "last _____ is a rotten egg!" Now we know that the only five Gems who can unlock the temple are Saph, Ruby, Pearl, Amethyst, and Rose. Now it would be easy to conclude that our klutzy alien baby Steven accidentally knocked something over and popped all the bubbles, but I think (getting back to the possible play on words of the title) that either Pearl or Amethyst purposefully popped them (thus becoming a rotten egg). What makes me think that? Well as much as I love Pearl as a character, she is pretty emotionally unstable. Who's to say something couldn't push her over the edge? As for Amethyst, we're getting a whole arc of episodes about her within the next few months with some pretty interesting titles... But shit, who knows! What do you guys think?
So Pearl is going to literally have a beast mode after she conquers corruption.........that's going to be epic. I just have this image of her fighting and then her limit break is her corruption form.
the diffrence between this theory and most of gametheory's is that there is too much assuming. Just because jasper's gem looks like another means NOTHING. This theory Is just a bunch of small assumptions into a theory while game theory would cover small points and go on with the main point and one by one support the main point. half way through this video I was completely confused. So please this is not a hate comment I'm just giving you some advice.
Hey I do think gems can summon anything they want because remember the episode sworn to the sword and I can't remember the episode but pearl summoned police tape she had to do a dance before it was summoned.
I feel while this would be a wonderful twist (AS LONG AS SHE COMES BACK BECAUSE PEARL IS MY HEART AND SHE CAN'T BE HURT OR GONE OR HAVE HER BABY TAKEN FROM HER) I doubt it would happen. It would be dark and scary and hard to watch in an emotional sense. Especially for children. And yes. That is a huge factor. Its a cartoon for older kids and on, but they also have to be careful. Emotionally, it would be hard for a kid to process (I say this from my own experiences with child psychology.) I don't think they would go in that direction, just due to censorship.
Because no main character that the content creator has worked very hard to make sure you like them has ever been killed off by the content creator in a children's series ever before
I think you are missing the point. Pearl is the most nurturing and loving, more of a motherly figure. In the past, the dead character is little more than a plot device (My parents died when I was young/born), but Pearl is a character that has suffered much and been martyred, along with being equated to a mother.
Which is why I am saying it would more than likely not be a thing CN goes for. We never knew Rose. We didn't see a clip of Rose for a LONG TIME. Pearl in my opinion is the most like a mother to our nerdy little gem baby. That would be hard to watch as Pearl transformed into a monster. This wouldn't be Pearl dying, just passing on. She would turn into a SCARY BEAST AND ATTEMPT TO HURT STEVEN. That's not something I see CN passing along the production line.
In the Episode (I think this is the right title) Lars and the Cool Kids, Pearl creates police tape to block off potential intruders. And it lasts even after one of the teens chopped it down.
You just made my day with that image, don't think I ever heard anyone say this even though it should be completely obvious!!! I'd like to see YOU do a video now lol
I doubt homeworld is separated by several hundred light years of distance. Most nearby stars are only several light years away, usually below 20-30 at most.
I feel like Garnet might become split, where Aquamarine will find the infamous Sapphire, Aquamarine will then use her Laser to contain Sapphire then Sapphire will see her life end, much like in the past Blue Diamond will shatter her, she will become nothing more than the dust of a once unbreakable bond, Ruby becomes engulfed with anger! Ruby insists that herself and Amethyst fuse, An unknown power occurs, they become an "Imperial Sugilite" the Power is unreal, Imperial Sugilite is a bottle, Rage and Love fill it, a rather Purplish magenta coloured Aura surrounds them, she screams and howls in pain, the agony of being split hurts her! She grabs the space ship that contains her life, she tears it in half, Aquamarine bubbles her, the Love is too much, she breaks out of it! She (Imperial Sugilite) Shatters Aquamarine, Topaz cries, her gem has a sudden warmth, She lets them free! But Imperial is not done yet! She contacts Yellow diamond, she insists that she face them, Imperial sends Sapphire to the house, Sapphire cries, she says "Your life is worth far more than mine, let me go! I will take my faith" (Knowing Ruby will be shattered along with Amethyst) *SUDDEN BOOM* Yellow and Blue Diamond appear, they fight with Imperial, she is being torn her physical shape is being transformed, *A TSUNAMI OCCURS* Malachite has decided to join in, they fuse becoming Titanium Quartz, the power is beyond the Diamond authority, the Diamonds not knowing what to do, fuse they become Green Diamond with the power to corrupt Gems, they try, they try hard but it doesn't work the bond is too strong, Steven, Sapphire, Connie and everyone else watch as unimaginable power is released, The diamonds have been poofed, In two hands Titanium Quartz holds the Gems of the Diamonds *DRAMATIC MUSIC* She makes one last cry, she then Shatters them... To be continued... (Reply for more)
I think Pearls corruption would be an interesting plot point, though in all honesty I dont see it being her that overcomes the obstacle, and rather Steven that does since its been heavily hinted that he will be the one to do this since season 1. Also, Have the comics just helped to prove that Lions mane is Stevens gem?? I remember hearing somewhere that the creators came out and stated this wasnt true, but it seems too prefect to deny, now that we've seen the inside of Pearls gem. Is that just me?
From the standpoint of "The inside really would be that "plains" space", yeah Lion got proven to be a gem. Although Lion hasn't done much of ANYTHING in the comics so its hard to say anything else from that.
2nd Plot Twist: I FINALLY figure out how to edit video footage
Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
omg wow, never saw that coming XDjk, jk, I love your vids

Dude.........my Mind is blown (」゚ロ゚)」
Gonna shoot this down on the fact that Peridot has perfectly good reason to not know what rain was. +Desknight Plus she also used the direct Earth to home world warp, meaning she had to have seen it.
OKAY WAIT DANG SECOND DOES THAT MEAN LION IS ROSE QUARTZ'S MIND!? Since Steven is part human he wouldn't need Rose Quartz's mind to be a part his own body because he would already have his own mind.
Yup
Possibly! The comics are "iffy" territory when it comes to the canon but if it keeps holding up then things are going to get VERY trippy soon!
Dude, this is guy, this channel, is literally Steven Universe philosophy 😂
this
Check out AJ Universe's videos, they're based on actual concrete evidence in the show. This video is basically fan fiction, or like when I played power rangers as a kindergartner an wondered 'what if' the blue ranger fought the red ranger and became the leader.

It's been 84 years...
Amethyst would make MUCH more sense. I mean she has multiple upcoming episodes like Crack the Whip, Steven vs Amethyst, and Kindergarten kid.
I see you in so many Steven Universe videos.
The Purple Flame lol
I thought kindergarten kid was amethyst's backstory before she was a crystal gem
xrnplaysgames Maybe.
What if its *ANOTHER* amethyst? There are some holes in the wall at the same level amethyst was in...
Hahahahaha an ad came on for Yellow Diamond engagement rings XD
oml xDD
this would be tragic
"Pearl will be the first gem to become corrupted on screen"
*1 year later,in the episode Earthlings*
**Jasper becomes corrupted on screen**
Me: _nice._
Me: "Huh."
@@Desknight im suprised a Pink Diamond gem was the first one to become a corrupted gem on screen instead of a crystal gem .p.
plot twist! Jasper becomes corrupted on screen first
DUDE! MIND BLOWN! and the bird, I can imagine pearl turning into a bird if she corrupts.
omg, how did you not see it? rose was the only one to pass through because she became part of steven.... hear me out, the shadow thingy is meant to represent the link between home world and the gems+humans the only one to make the link was rose because she gave up her physical form to become part of steven.... so she died 'die/not die' but still exists in some form with no physical body. thats how it links together....

Wanna hear something mindblowing? I DREW A PICTURE OF CORRUPTED PEARL THAT IS *NOT* BASED OFF A BIRD!!!

YOUR DIAMOND, MY DIAMOND, PINK DIAMOND!
good theory. lots to chew on

But seriously, did EVERYONE miss the few frames that she lost control of her form?
+Owen Porter dude It was a past form when one of her legs and one of her arms became huge
Emma B. maybe :/
it is confirmed :p she was never corrupting
I swear, I was looking at the thumbnail and pearl was looking forward. When I looked back, pearl was looking at me
Yellow Diamond 's corruption is a
Girrafe
fascinating, that leads to the thought of Steven being some kind of summoning by rose quartz. the end of her pregnancy being his form sealing around her gem, crushing away (poofing) her physical form ("gave up her physical form to make you")
The heavy sphere sounds like the Cluster
I love your use of Japhet and Valarie at 4:23. OFF FTW!
Omg watching this at night blew my mind to pieces
"I can do no wrong, for I do not know what it is"
life itself is only a vision, a dream.
Nothing exists say empty space and you.
And you are nothing but a thought...
I love how you used Japhet for an image of corrupted Pearl
I kind of want pearl to become corrupted
NOOOO! where will we get the Salt for our fries?
You monster
AYYYYYY NO......
+FaIcon_King yes, I am a monster
please no my saltiness with remain
Okay, so now we know what the "malachite room" in chille tid was. The inside of Malachite's gem.
As I watch this when Jasper is corrupted, it makes even more sense. In Pearl's corruption, as she helps the other gems like Desknight stated, both her and Jasper become uncorrupted (and possibly other gems) thus beginning Jasper's redemption arc. Maybe?
I WANT CORRUPTED PEARL OR OTHER CRYSTAL GEM!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks For The Week's Worth Of Terrifying Nightmares.
At the last part where pearl talks to Greg it made me get the chills
It would he cool to see how a gem would turn into one of those monsters. Also would be cool to see one be healed by Steven.
"gone through every facet"
I see what you did there
...I mean, this theory's cool and all, and I would totally love it.

So I like this story idea, but I don't see it happening until like season 5. Not at the end of season 3 and into 4.
NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT
I agree. The show's got too much to deal with right now for this. I can see it happening though.
well maybe we'll have some episodes in season 3 that have the temple slowly become relevant again. Then maybe some monsters escape and they slowly become present again. Then this arc would start, maybe just after or during the battle w/ home world
Something something, everlord being able to go between the two kingdoms, rose and the latest episodes...
that moment when the episode "Last one out of Beach City" is actually the episode when Pearl gets a girl's number 😂😂😂
Shadow curtain?
Barrier?
UNDERTALE!!!!!!
we i saw that aliens meme knock-off what first came into y mid was " McDonald's gave me 9 chicken nuggets instead of 10.........aliens"
I think the gems turn corrupted because of the flash. In Same Old World, during Lapis's backstory, there was a flash during the war. I t the flash was supposed to shatter the gems. But, they accidentally corrupted them. I found this on AJ Universe. :P
I can't believe Pearl is Japhet
Okay, so if the gem mind is an infinite space that can be organized, does this mean the temple could potentially be the inside of a gems mind?
Yee~
i read a theory somewhere about construction gems, like the pyramid gem (if it isnt white diamond) and the desert glass, and there was a theory that the inside of the temple is the production of the crystal heart which would probably in turn mean that the inside of its "mind" would just be the architecture and layout for the inside of the temple which is a cool thought
either that or the crystal heart was a gem that was mad corrupted and theyre just going inside her brain whenever theyre going inside the temple but like, with their tendency to bubble the corrupted gems itd kinda go against their principle i think
It's kinda the other way around: Jasper is the one to get corrupted
Ahh snap, this is pretty good
Even though this has been disproven it's a pretty cool concept
But I hope you are right about that part about the gem monsters escaping though, that would be awesome
It's easy to say that Last One Out of Beach City is going to be a Yellow Diamond oriented episode, but hear me out for a sec
Ever heard of Chekhov's Gun?
The long and short of it is that there's no point in wasting exposition
on something that isn't of later relevance to the story. Now what's a
plot element that's constantly brought up within SU, so often that we
don't even give it a second thought? THE BUBBLED GEMS!!! From what we've
seen there are dozens, if not hundreds of them, all just peacefully
bubbled in the Crystal Temple.
The point I'm trying to make is that somehow, at some point in the
series, those bubbled gem monsters are going to escape and wreak havoc
on Beach City at least, and I think that's probably what "Last One Out of Beach City" is going to be about.
Now this next bit might be pure conjecture, but I think "Last One Out
of Beach City" is a play on the phrase "last _____ is a rotten egg!"
Now we know that the only five Gems who can unlock the temple are Saph,
Ruby, Pearl, Amethyst, and Rose. Now it would be easy to conclude that
our klutzy alien baby Steven accidentally knocked something over and
popped all the bubbles, but I think (getting back to the possible play
on words of the title) that either Pearl or Amethyst purposefully popped
them (thus becoming a rotten egg). What makes me think that? Well as
much as I love Pearl as a character, she is pretty emotionally unstable.
Who's to say something couldn't push her over the edge? As for
Amethyst, we're getting a whole arc of episodes about her within the
next few months with some pretty interesting titles...
But shit, who knows! What do you guys think?
That Is an AWESOME idea!! I bet Amethyst'll be the one to do so, since she seems the most likely.
"Greko-roman?" I fucking died, omf.
So Pearl is going to literally have a beast mode after she conquers corruption.........that's going to be epic. I just have this image of her fighting and then her limit break is her corruption form.
I love how u showed bleach as when you say *Pearl will over come her transformation*
^looks at thumbnail^ thankfully that isn't what corruption looks like
^shudders^
Holy crap, I forgot there was a comic for the show!!
According to other TH-cam theories they found a leak possible episode title that said corrupted jasper.
Links?
Although that sounds very unlike their usual naming conventions. They're rarely that direct.
also one called smoky quartz a possible fusion with steven?
Well, I'll be damned
I think that's a character arc. I remember seeing the video.
Wait, what?
Why man? Wala hinoon pd koy sure. But, Wala biya sya na igo sa light (back story ni Lapis og ni Centty/Centie)
3rd plot twist: Jasper becomes the first on-screen corruption
the diffrence between this theory and most of gametheory's is that there is too much assuming. Just because jasper's gem looks like another means NOTHING. This theory Is just a bunch of small assumptions into a theory while game theory would cover small points and go on with the main point and one by one support the main point. half way through this video I was completely confused. So please this is not a hate comment I'm just giving you some advice.
Well, Game Theory isn't always the best with proving things either. Mario is Mental and Sans is Ness were both inconsistent theories.
True.
Glad this didn't turn into an argument. Thanks for responding. :)

That's not something I see CN passing along the production line.
im now crying no please
In the Episode (I think this is the right title) Lars and the Cool Kids, Pearl creates police tape to block off potential intruders. And it lasts even after one of the teens chopped it down.
LETTER A BINTA MY FAULT BOITA BOITA BOITA Tylerq scream
if Pearl were a animalistic corrupted gem I'd think she'd be a monstrous broken clam with a pearl in the top part of the clam
You just made my day with that image, don't think I ever heard anyone say this even though it should be completely obvious!!!
I'd like to see YOU do a video now lol
All these theroies about last one out of beach city put to shame by rock music
This video made me question my existence a bit...
come back man we miss your theories.
To be honest we've seen this with the mirror and the tape pulled from Pearls gem so it can't disappear
i'm laughing because this is so off from the truth
just want to point out that a year later from this vids release Jasper was the first one to become corrupted on screen
WAIT A SEC FINAL THEORY!?
Watching this video after Last One Out of Beach City is very awkward
How, how ironic for Jasper was the one to be corrupt.
Well, *PLOT TWIST* Jasper becomes corrupted rather then pearl and is unable to unite he gems with homeworld.
I doubt homeworld is separated by several hundred light years of distance. Most nearby stars are only several light years away, usually below 20-30 at most.
Whatever happens I want at least one of the gems to be corrupted/shattered , I'm secretly hoping for either ruby/sapphire for extra feels
Also when you say pearl will be the first courted gem uhhhh nope! Jasper is now corrupted sooo....
since the high Lord is rose so passing through the curtain could reference rose turning into steven
the comic equels its own story, Steven Universe, and Undertale
(Reply for more)
plot twist: jasper is the the first gem to be corrupted on screen
Although Lion hasn't done much of ANYTHING in the comics so its hard to say anything else from that.
in sworn to the sword park takes that you're out of her gem
I saw the thumbnail for the video and... my thought: When did Pearl become a Hollow?
ironically, Jasper was corrupted first...
About time someone started farming theories from the expanded materials! Good shout! Did Rebecca Sugar have any hand in the comics?
I like the corrupted gems.
well... guess who REALLY became currupt... on screen.
the dark curtain is stevan "dead but not dead" just like rose inside of stevan
