I thought I was the only listening this loud in my car. I am glad I am not the only one. If this score was around when I was in the Marine Corps I would play this everything to get my Marines jacked up and motivated even more. Our war cry” Lead them to Paradise”. Expect we would send them all to worse.
I kinda wish they had thrown in the rest with "Try going into that dark place you dare not look, you'll find me there staring back at you!", but I understand that Dennis kind of wanted to downplay some of the more fantastical parts of Paul's new powers.
I have watched this movie feeling amazed, marveled, joyful, restless, astonished. This film, turned me into child once again! a young boy that gets blown out by new experiences, an ability we gradually lose while growing into adulthood, we cease to be flabbergasted with fantasy.
"My lord duke, the great houses refuse to recognize your ascension." "Lead them to paradise." Music can often bring me to tears as great stories can often do. Both together make a powerful combination. I only wish I obsessed over Dune when I was younger. It might've been nice to be a fan of something other than LOTR and StarWars growing up lol.
I first got introduced to Dune through the pc games (Dune 2). Even with what limited lore the games could tell in the 90s I was fascinated by the world of Dune. Than the book... and finally now; a truly great movie!
A lot of book-readers / book-fans are lukewarm on the movies. I am happy I didn't read it because I can fall in love with the brilliance of Villeneuve / Zimmer and still read & enjoy the books now.
@@noneedforidI feel like it's a similar situation to The Lord of the Rings in that the movies are extremely well-made but still fail to capture some of the magic of the source material. I don't think it's even possible to make a film that gives the same feelings as reading a long novel, it's just too different of a medium. Lots to appreciate about both, and it's cool that we have both.
@dylancolon5871 its because both denis' Dune films and peter jacksons LOTR films changed many things in from the source material. Some are for obvious convenience for filming cause limitations, but some stuff was just creative liberties for no purpose except because the director and writers wanted to. I still loved Denis' dune part one and two though, because his movies have a good atmosphere and weight to them, and even though he changed and left out a lot of important thing, the central messages of the story are still present

Hans Zimmer will go down in history as the greatest composer of all time. Now We Are Free Gladiator, Time Inception, Chevaliers De Sangreal Da Vinci Code and Kiss The Ring Dune 2 are the greatest scores of all time. What an epic ending.
"I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. I will face my fear. I will let it pass through me. When the fear has gone, there shall be nothing. Only I will remain."
imagine their boosted morality! they're fighting knowing their Mahdi is with them, and hes leading them to paradise unequivocally!, the Fremen are past beyond fighters at this point, theyre berserkers!!!!
This ending still gives me incredible chills. It is sad and moving and hits everything right. The music is....next level eargasmic. This is an epic movie and deserves every award and all of our money.
BEST Movie of the decade....master denis V did it for sure...without hans ( of course) cannot be done hehe!!.... So Dune now has a special place in my heart along with all the other master movies... !!! ...it was time to see another great movie....!!!
holy shit... the name of this track just gave me chills "Kiss the Ring" This melody is the same theme for Chani and Paul's romance and this particular track is played at the end of the movie when Chani realizes Paul chose power over her... the name of the theme says it all and it explains perfectly why Chani felt so betrayed at the end of the movie; she didn't feel betrayed because of paul betrothing himself to Princess Irulan. its because Paul used manipulation and chose power over Chani... just CHILLING and incredibly sad but brilliant writing by Denis and the writers to better realize Frank Herbert's Vision for Paul's transformation into an Anti-Hero!
The real tragedy is he didn't really have a choice. Anything else would have resulted in the genocide of all Fremen, including Chani. I wonder how they're going to handle it in part 3 because she's supposed to have his kid who goes on to become the god emperor.
They have a child together, one that was killed at Sietch Tabr, but was left out of this movie. She understood what he needed to do, and understood in the books.
@@shadow7988 The other fun part is how they are going to explain how he goes blind by staring into an atomic after showing him stare into an atomic in this film, just after showing it will melt your face off.
Instead of "Kiss the Ring" this track should have been titled "Romance Among the Dunes" because this track is first heard, faintly playing in the background during the scene where Paul and Chauney were falling for each other while overlooking the sands. The soundtrack of course fantastic, the visuals amazing, but it isn't Dune.
