²ᴷ⁶⁰ NYC Subway IRT R62A (6) Train Ride Through the City Hall Loop

If you are a train foamer, transit enthusiast, or just some tourist visiting NYC, you need to do this! Yes, you can ride the 6 Train going through the abandoned City Hall Station in Lower Manhattan, NY. To go through the abandoned station and hear the loud squeaky sounds of the trains turning, board the train at Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall. The operators usually tell people to get off and it is the last stop, but STAY ON the train, the train will make a big turnaround through the abandoned City Hall Station and arrive back to other side of the station and different platform at Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall. The 4 and 5 Trains also stop at this station but does not go through the City Hall Loop, instead continuing the journey down Manhattan and into Brooklyn. There's also tours to visit the abandoned City Hall Station, but it's expensive and limited space to book a spot to visit, just pay $2.90 for a subway ride through the station and you'll be fine. I did this City Hall Loop twice since going through it once is just extremely short. This ride is like going through a part of Transit history in NYC. I also recommend visiting the New York Transit Museum and experience being inside older subway trains and seeing a few old buses.
Board the 6 Train on the platform island with 4 and 5 trains going downtown. Once going around the loop, it will return on the island platform with 4 and 5 trains heading uptown. The signs at Brooklyn Bridge City Hall will show directions for Uptown 6 Trains but no signs for the 6 Train last stop or going through the loop. You can also board at other 6 Train station and stay on board the train at Brooklyn Bridge City Hall.
