It’s wild that even with that 75 yard TD he only finished with 138 yards rushing. Plus he had that one that was almost a 50 yard TD, ended up being like 40. So you got 115 of his yards on 2 carries, and then 6 other of the 13 carries were short yardage TDs, and that leaves 5 carries he had all game that didn’t go for at least 35+ yards or a TD hahahaha. Plus he caught the ball twice, and one was 35+ yards and a TD! I think that should be highlighted even more than just the 185 total yards ...that he did it all on 15 touches!!! 15 touches, 8 TDs. 6 touches that didn’t go for a TD or a 35+ yard play hahahah. Wow.
I remember watching him and thinking he was super talented but still had a long way to go. When the Cardinals were thinking about moving up and drafting him I thought that was stupid, he was a second round talent due to all of his mechanical issues and we would be dumb to try. Totally wrong and I'm glad I was wrong, he's fun to watch and as a Sun Devil it was fun beating him and my goodness were both defenses horrible that night.
He was 50% of the player in college that he is in the NFL. Was honestly surprised Chiefs took him 10th overall, but hey, guess they proved me wrong lol. Give credit to Alex Smith for mentoring. If he wasn't given that first year to just learn the offense and what it takes to play in the NFL, I don't think he would be the same Mahomes we've seen the last 2 years.
That's always the go-to for high scoring games, but I think the offense is that much better in those leagues. Just sayin', Georgia's defense gave up 48 points to OU and Auburn fell to UCF's high-powered offense.
