There was a batch of new pumps that came with the wrong springs in them that gave too much oil pressure. The reputable sellers supplied new correct springs with them to fit before installing the pumps.
In our opinion any reputable seller would not of sold the pump with a spring to fit yourself and this just goes to show the quality of the county part as we were saying we will not be using county parts Becuse the poor quality is unacceptable
There’s a channel called Arry the Stag who had a Triumph 2500 engine rebuilt refreshed by a reputable specialist, when running in they noticed low oil pressure which was diagnosed at another garage as a weak (new ?) oil pressure relief valve…. replaced it with a better one and all was good but so many crapy reproduction parts being sold today….
As a recent Sprint owner, it's great to get such detailed info'. Hope you can continue to cover the engine build. Thanks!
