Amazing how fast your going with the CID and weight . Keep up the great work. The only thing i see that has to be so hard on the transmission is the amount time your on the converter. I had seen that every second your on the trans break the fluid goes up close to 00 degrees per second. In that case you would have to be changing fluids every time out. What are your thoughts? Thank you again.
Thanks! It definitely takes longer on the converter than I'd like. After that last outing the fluid is toast. Had been fine up to that point. The big issue IMO is the gearing. The car has a 1.65 1st gear. At 3900lbs i have to leave on alot of power to make it fast. Where most are able to leave on 10-16psi, I was leaving on 22-25 to get those 1.1x 60fts. It builds to 15psi in 4 seconds, the other 10 takes some work. I could be more aggressive on the 2 step to get build the boost faster. That has its downsides also, the bigger pops and bangs in the echaust can be hard on valvetrain so i try to avoid it. I think the best move is to change the transmission gearing so i can leave at lower power levels and achieve the same 60ft.
I have yes. ATI will make a balancer with 58 magnets in it also if i wanted. Since the changes i made to the trigger arming voltage and set the home trigger to conditions, I havent had a problem.
How is the car so heavy? we have a full interior 2012 blower car that is air to water with 26ft of 1in hose and 8g water tank. full exhaust with x pipe and dumped mufflers. only non factory body panel which is a carbon trunk lid with carbon wing ..combined is only a 12lb drop from stock.. it tips the scales at 3400 with driver and 100lbs of ballast and a trans that is 100lbs heavier than the th400 in that car... full interior with cage ... where is your extra 500-600lbs coming from .. do you have any videos scaling the car and going over the weight ..
I dont know how yours is so light! You still have ac, heater box, radio, and stuff also? th-cam.com/video/bkZWJtV8QLU/w-d-xo.html This video was without the wing and only 1/3 the water in the intercooler system. System holds 11-12 gallons total. Fwiw, this car stock was 3820 with me.
No we don't have radio or ac but radio and ac combined doesn't even weigh 40lbs .. the speakers weigh 1.1lbs each . The radio 3lbs and the ac system weighs a total of 28lbs .. I have never seen a s197 weigh even fully loaded glass roof weigh almost 3900lbs stock .. might want to check your scales .. we weighed 3355 with me at 240lbs before half the ballast to make class weight.. with all my gear on both certed scales and on 4 corner scales..... sorry but I don't buy the car weighs 3900lbs ... even if you say the turbo kit weight is 100lbs your trans is 100lbs lighter than 6r80 and the lack of exhaust mid and mufflers almost makes up the cage weight ..... if chromoly... Running 7s is awesome and a milestone initself but I don't buy the car weighs 3900lbs .. you're a TH-camr .. let's see a video scaling the car ... and I have seen your car in person it's definitely not full weight.... ive seen full weight with cage 10r80 and twin turbo cars weigh near you what you claim ...
@@ogreracing there is no way you're car was that light. I have weighted 3 of these. One was a 2014 gt premium with a roush blower, and a roll bar, it weighted 4130. Another was a nitrous 2012 gt with spray and it was 3820 and then mine. I have a video of me driving it over the scales at the track, its from the incar and the scales are hard to read. But ill post it.
@@ogreracing if you seen it in person, how do you figure it not full weight? I guess depending on when you saw it it may have had the passenger seat and rear seat removed, but everything else has alway been there.
That's incredible.
Thanks!
congrats on the times by the way ... killer times no matter the combo
Congrats on the new personal best! That's incredible for the weight of the car.
Thanks!
Wow 7.6 , 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 congrats
Wow that car is really moving out now. Awesome! And the new car combo should be sick!
Thanks!

@@ForceEngineering thank you for the reply. Keep up the great work. 👍 Ford fans need you out there fighting. P
@@tomhamilton9140 you're welcome. I'll do my best!
Have you considered the MSD Flying Magnet with the Holley Crank Trigger Sensor for the RPM issue?

What’s your engine build consist of?

I also dont remember if this had both front seats and the rear seat in it. Not that the rear seat weights anything

Is that the factory hood minus the turbo cutouts?
Yeah

@@Pistol755 i pulled it off pretty early on. No much reason to keep it.
