Today marks the first episode of a little experiment I ran on the 3rd RB server; basically I have been doing 1-off missions every time I played Zeus so far and I felt like I was ready to take it to the next level, in this "persistent" campaign the same map will be used and I tried running things a bit more realistic, at least compared to my previous ops. Obviously it is a work in progress so please understand that haha, anyway I have 4-5 more videos of this campaign to show and I already have another one in the run for when this one ends.. Obviously I also will do other Zeus videos or take breaks from running campaigns back to back where there will be one-off Zeus videos again.. anyway this description is way too long.. I really doubt anyone actually reads this all the way.. if you did, comment Potatomasher in the comment section so we can A) Confuse everyone and B) I can see how many people read descriptions.. that way I can calculate if me typing all this was worth the extra 2 minutes of my life. :)

I like those moment when the players have to decide if the people are friendly or not, pretty intereting to see if they risk war crimes.

Really nicely done with civilian vehicles making the players think twice.
Top notch Zeus'ing right there, like how you made it feel realistic and fun at the same time. The friendly and neutral AI was a welcomed touch as it makes these operations more realistic. Now if you had that paramedic in that village help out the wounded players that would had been amazing. Anyways keep it the great content!

loved the begginning Sherm, but the town scene was not very realistic. Perhaps if two IEDs went off, the "spotter" in the tower could have tried to make a run for it. Then when bluefor is chasing, a sniper (really accurate one) opens up on them from really really far away. And then bluefor has to struggle to take him out while under direct fire from him.
ArmA doesn't work like that though. You can't direct so meticulously what the AI and the squad will do. Adapt to the players for maximum fun don't try to force a narrative too hard, especially if it's dependant on small variables.
@@alanlopezr.7104 It's why it's always good to have a co Zeus to help make these scenarios abit more interesting.
One Zeus can only do so much. Like there's so much that could've been done to be more immersive.

Dude I think you should let them to really feel the problems, for example: if they're truck is broken, don't send them another one, let them deal with it. This way they will learn how important these things are, if you'l give them everything, they lose the feeling that they can fail.
This way, is guaranteed that they'll complete everything.

Btw german soldiers use the IdZ Gear.. In Arma its the BW a3 mod. We dont have any russian vehicles.

When they were walking the streets I really wished they've spread out abit more atleast allowing more free space so as a grenade of anything that goes off wouldn't just smoke em. Like imagine a sniper or lmg fire team just lights them up.

hey @The Sherminator you should get some guys into a squad of 4 and have them 4 do a mission or somewhat something like that, where they either have to hold off against a massive military force, or even attempt to capture a major military outpost full of enemies, including tanks, helicopters and gun placements, it would be fun to see how skilled people can get when they need to be

Seriously, that civ roaming around a military unit that got IEDed twice and assaulted, is a moron if he was real. He could have been a spotter, etc. He would at least deserve a warning or maybe even a temporary arrest.
