For me, this version of the song does not instill fear, but is instead replaced by adrenaline. The drums in the background amplify this effect as this really sets into perspective that Tails is literally fighting for his life and all that had happened has led up to this very moment, the death of his friends, the loss of his second tail, and many more, and this is his only chance at end it all. There is but one feeling you get from this situation alone; Determination.

There’s 2 endings I thought of Good: Tails spindashed at Robotnik, pushing him into the furnace behind him. Bad: furnace (robot), sneaks up on Tails and either yeets him in the furnace behind Starved or shoved him into the mini furnace in his chest
