I appreciate your efforts in consolidating this movie! But sorry to say Bunny and NainaS lovestory has not been so vague. That rap battle was all about differences in their ideologies and personalities. Bunny was made to choose between his dream and the love of his life. Which is a huge and significant turn of the movie!
I don't think he was a selfish fboy. He just knew that he had to prioritize his dreams and preferences before anything else, and that's not selfishness, that's knowing your worth and following your dreams..
