Rodee1 im just seeing this 😩 for some reason some comments go to “likey spam” folder an i hve to approve it . Not sure why urs was there . Im new to this youtube thing BUT anywayss I appreciate you for saying this 💜 thank you 😊
I think the money wise thing is flip flop between OTR and Local. I know you said it kinda depends what your doing when it comes to the two, but when it comes to company OTR as a single Driver and a Local Driver. Local pays either about the same or slightly more. OTR seems like more, because of the 7 days a week working, but you spend more money being out there. I guess the best way to put it is, you keep more money in your pocket being local vs otr if you have bills at home while doing otr. Otr has inconsistent checks as well, plus inconvenience of weather. Crazy appointments to wait for and long unload times or getting in and out past the guards at some of these places. A lot more time wasted and loss OTR both in work related and home life. Plus being on guard of equipment 24/7 is technically work all the time that you're not paid for.
Girrrl I'm like you and it's a struggle to get thick sometimes when meat ain't an option. I eat me some oatmeal and pbj's or a strawberry banana smoothie and that helps! I appreciate this video though! W love from Houston!🤘🏾💕
I really appreciate your channel. 1st time viewer. You seem truthful,Honest,Calm, cool, collected. I like the fact that you explain your content clearly and quickly. I'm 38 and about to embark on my journey in this industry. I have 2 recruiters from two different companies offering me bus tickets to attend their affiliated training schools. Stevens or Prime? Your thoughts please?
Im doing the same thing im going to finish up this summer in Michigan then i think around October im moving to Florida ive got the trucking job lined up but my plan is to run 5 days and weekend off in Florida i lived in florida south of tampa Bradenton Sarasota area and loved it im going back in October
Ill be in Bradenton Florida just south of tampa !!! Im done with the Michigan winters !!! I know Lakeland had more trucking jobs there then anywhere in Florida
If you like driving over night you should look at some Ltl companies like old dominion, saia,Averitt etc . They usually pay a lot more than most otr companies but you have to drive at night
new subscriber, whats good. bout to start orientation @prime, thanks for the knowledge. very interesting, i do not eat meat, very minimal on seafood, how did that work out for you & can you elaborate more on what to expect eating wise ... Thank You again
This last year did me in over the road got so bad where you just couldn't find parking spots because of the eld mandate it was getting so frustrating !! I told the boss to take me off the road and give me a dedicated lane now im only making a thousand a week but i home every night with Saturday and sunday off !!!! Ill probably never go back over the road !!!!
Basha Ozayu i decided to go local because i want to purchase a home an to get back into yoga . U kinda lose yourself being out on the road . Everything becomes repetitive
Great content , is trucking your career ? And don't matter what job you do , if love happens it just does , I was on the road for 2yrs straight , and we was good , it just makes u miss the person even more ..... When your over the road ! But awesome videos , wish there was more lol
Thank you so much for your video much respect but with all due respect and I mean with all due respect in my opinion if you want to have an actual life and not just a trucker life and make some money local but do a Hazmat job IHOP sulfuric acid in pit it pays gray and I get to come home every night plan anything I want go to the gym see my girl do whatever I want and I'm getting paid high-risk high-reward
Eduardo Gutierrez LTL Line Haul. OD, SAIA, Estes all have runs that pay that. I do 540 miles a day at .68 CPM plus drop hook and fuel pay. Avg $400 a day x 5 days a week = 2k a week gross.
Ricky Harvey I don't know though. A lot of local jobs want u to work 13-14 hours a day! That's more than half the Damn day! You will only have enough time to sleep.
amp harris thats true. I'm just saying that during the days u work, u won't be able to do anything. And those 2 days off will fly by before u know what happened. But I guess getting home in the first place is all we care about
amp harris I know a guy that has to work 14 hours a day. He was so tired and beaten up, that he had to beg his boss for an extra day off so be could extend his weekend. A local job would be awesome for me if i could find one that makes me work 10 hours or less a day
Joshua McDaniel wow!!! So it IS true that you can be an owner operator and still be home daily. That's awesome. I'm 26 and I'm an owner operator. I'm sure i can't do otr forever, and i don't want to just hang up my truck and drive a company's truck. I don't wanna go back to company driving. Btw can u pick your own work schedule or no?
You have such a good head on your shoulders. That's why I like this channel!

No problem. I was trucking for awhile then stopped. Listening to you makes me miss it. Strongly thinking about going back in that direction.
its all on the individual and what keeps you happy gone long or gone hardly nothin matters but you

Aaron Roberts where at bro? And what kind of trailer? Tanker?
Eduardo Gutierrez
LTL Line Haul. OD, SAIA, Estes all have runs that pay that. I do 540 miles a day at .68 CPM plus drop hook and fuel pay. Avg $400 a day x 5 days a week = 2k a week gross.
Aaron Roberts Damn that’s pretty good bro. The numbers add up and everything. Question is how much experience would I need for them to hire me?
Eduardo Gutierrez
I believe 1 year with a clean record
Aaron Roberts I will definitely check them out when my year is up then. Thanks for the info bro.
