Discus or P. scalare var. 'Rio Nanay'. Not sure why there's a trend in FW to keep tiny fish in large aquariums. Seems to make the aquarium look sterile; like a barren landscape.

Smashing aquarium, lovely choice of planting, would look great with a mixture of different rainbow fish shoaling around in it and a large shoal of rummy nose tetras. Can’t wait to see it grown in George.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌞❤️

Will we get to see the tank full after a week or month? Not a fan of the background but each to their own. If you had more light would you have planted some epiphytes onto the background?

What about Angelfish? I think Angels would look cool. I may 'borrow' this scape idea for my 120 gallon tank. I've been trying to figure out how to scape it. I really like all those swords and the 3D background. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi George, nice to see a scape with my favorite plants. Swords are amazing but sadly totally underestimated especially the red varieties are amazing under rgb! You shouldn't be to certain about their final size, under optimal scaping conditions they become monsters, usually much bigger than predicted by the companies. It's a pity that this tank has a lid because most swords grow emers under longday lightning and are simply amazing with a meter height and more....... Not to mention the flowers.....
Nevertheless, an amazing scape, which will become spectacular in no time!

Completely agree, would have been spectacular with some Red Flame mixed in with the bleherii and some ozelot red in the mid-ground. Just happy to see some swords being used, not very many show up in show aquascapes these days.

hi George, i love this set up. Quite out of the ordinary and a great inspiration for livestock ! (is the water going to be true, as in tinted ?) With the Frogbit a couple different species of Hatchet-fish would look cool for the upper area. A huge school of Flame and Serpae Tetras for the middle, and for the bottom ... some Panda or Adolfo's corys & a bunch of Oto's. ...... Thanks 4 another great post !

Hello George, you've surprised me. This is something different from what you normally do. Nice to see your take on it,came out great!
However the Echinodorus might get a lot bigger than you think, especially with the tropica substrate. I always run into this when using Echinodorus, so in time I usually replace them for younger, smaller ones.
For fish I would get a nice group of Corydoras, group of Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma and some Discus or Altums.
    Thanks for sharing George.
    Cheers, Nick

I notice in the many clear streams in Brazil star grass and Hydrocotyle can carpet small stream. Had no luck myself with the Hydrocotyle, but I see it all the time while black Pacu and Brycon fish swim right over it.
Interesting that no Amazonian mosses have been tried that I know of in the hobby. BIG plants like Eichnoria azurea..that can be blue in color- yes,a blue aquarium plant would be great for large to very large Aquariums as it resembles an underwater palm tree's fronds.
Fish George? You can't go wrong with Angels..domestic or Altums. Rummy noses or Columbian tetra's are relatively docile..not especially fin nippy as others.
A school of Cory's always makes kids smile. Drop in a blue Mystery snail for non fish life. Or a few .

I have the same Daytime LED-Light-System, but my aquarium is a little smaller. It is 150x50x50.
Are 6 neutralwhite and a UBW Moduls enough for beautiful red plants, because mine are struggeling
Yes, I do use Co2 and fertiliser. But no Nitrat and Phosphat.
    Thanks. Regads Neno

For fish i would choose for the upper layer a school of hatchetfish or pencilfish. For the middle layer 5 angelfish sp. Rio Nannay these stay a bit smaller because altums get to big for this tank. For the bottom a big school of corydoras. And 3-4 farlowella acus to keep the plants and hardscape clean.

  • @bernhardkawell68
    @bernhardkawell68 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Nice tank. .very enjoyable. .for the bottom i i would take corydoras sterbai long fin about 20 or 25 fishes. And then pinoy angelfish variety blue with some red checkerbord discus. And some rams. .maybe the neon blue or the Gold variety. Or another possibilty is only big school of cardinal tetras and panda corydoras and some heckel discus

Just extra nutrients for the Echinodorus. The substrate itself doesn’t contain every nutrient required and the tank won’t see much liquid fertiliser. I thought I explained this in the video. Apologies if I missed that info out 👍

Hi All, rimmles tanks are beautifull but I think having a tank at home this is the one, with or without the background, you see no hoses or co2 diffusers or glas pipes, and with a top it's a bit more forgiven, watermarks or a little leaves are not instantly reason to put your hands in there. No dust falling in and most important no fish jumping out! Again rimmles is stunning but this is a tank for the long run. Maintenance is the same but I hope you get my point. For fish : I like Cory s a Lott. The pygmee and a few others are mostly swimming high in the water column and then some bigger ones down under.i m talking Cory s only so a few hundred can live in there. That's something else I think. Cheers all
