- In this first part of a two-part series, Filipe Oliveira from Aquaflora will start to aquascape this stunningly beautiful aquarium at the Green Aqua Gallery, as part of a workshop. Learn how to build a professional-level layout and hardscape your planted tank.

I met Filipe Oliveira and the lovely ladies from AquaFlora at Aquarium Gardens last year, it was a great day, I learned alot and put into practise the cigarette filter, soil, glue technique, it worked well. Filipe has a lovely manner, not lecturing but just having a chat over a sandwich and a cup of coffee, really relaxed and pleasant. :-)
Do you know how much time went into producing this one alone? 😊We're working here day and night Mel. It is impossible to do all in one week, we're burning out here. 😂 I'm so jealous that you were there at AG last year, that mush have been a great event. I saw that tank with my own eyes, it's stunning. The Portuguese finesse comes through, really. Filipe is a great guy.

I've been fortunate to have some minor interaction with him on TH-cam and his skill and artistic vision never ceases to amaze me - can't wait for part two!

I already had the pleasure of being present in a Filipe workshop and it was incredible. He deserved a video of this quality. He is a great aquascaper, very funny and a very available person. So wait for the planting part! I was amazed by his art when handling the plants 😮🇵🇹

Your videos are getting better and better in terms of recording. It is a tv show not just a video that someone uploads to TH-cam .
It would be awesome if you start doing two videos per week instead of 1, though many professional channels keep doing 1 for years and years so I guess it is a common tactic .

Yeah, spot on bataleon, spot on. I should have increased the speach volume a bit after receiving it back - cleaned - from Viktor and inserted it back into the timeline. The dirty version I gave him was much louder. I just didn't pay attention to that, I will not commit the same mistake again. Shame.

Beautiful work. I love the Living Canvas idea. All my tanks work that way out of necessity due to financial limitations. I worked 15 years as an artist and painter, and I think it is more real, more connected to the owner and viewer, if it evolves and changes...you stay in love with the tank, plants and it's fish too.
Yeah, you are right, actually this is why we at Green Aqua love freshwater scapes so much, they change all the time, and it is just so great to repaint that picture from time to time. For saltwater aquariums you don't really have that feeling. They are beautiful in other ways.
