Your Archives remake track is really fantastic! From the song's opening, it instantly transports me back to my childhood with the N64 controller in my hand and the CRTV screen focused on James Bond's stage introduction. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Sheeeesh Streets is next! Less goo! Although Archives has never been one of my favorites, the orchestral hits you added give it a bit more personality. I feel like you gave the song that extra pizazz it needed. Nicely done!
I'm guessing Streets is a favourite of yours? 😉 If so then I hope I don't dissappont ☺️ I felt the same way about Archives to be honest. When I used to play this level It always seemed like the music was stuck on a neverending loop. Thankyou for the kind words!
@mattspence1337 Streets, Surface 2, and Aztec are probably my favorites. Your version of Surface 2 was fantastic, loved it. Although really every track so far has been really well made. Can't wait for the other 2!
@@animeking1357 oooh nice one of mine too! Yeah I have done, I've done these remakes in order of how you play them in the game, so next will be streets.
Wow that opening was amazing! If there is something I love about goldeneye remakes, it's when they get all the little details right. Like the constant little click clack sound effect beat is spot on. The trumpet parts were also amazing. Boy I cannot wait to hear Streets.
Thanks man! Them click clack woodblocks took me a while to do. I had to slow the original track right down to figure out what was going on 😬 not sure if you saw my post the other day, but im currently in the middle of moving house and awaiting a new desk, then I've got a holiday to go on. Once all that's out the way, I'll start work on Streets ☺️ Thanks as always for listening!!
@@prestongehrig2824 thanks man, I'm excited to start working on the later stages, especially Train and Control. I may have a little plan up my sleeve for a certain level in the game too, I'll have to see how it works put first 😉
I feel like as I've made my way through these tracks, the instrumentation becomes slightly more complex with each one, I'm having to slow the original tracks down to figure out what's going on. I'm hoping to have the OST finished by the end of the year!
Thanks! I listened to the uncompressed versions a few years ago, some of them sound so different, it's amazing we got the soundtrack that we did, considering the limitations on the old consoles.
I like this track. Maybe one day I should rank the original versions. I think the missing instruments is again intentional though maybe it’s not. Rare in its prime thought about stuff like this but maybe I’m giving praise where it’s not due. In any case the lack of instruments gives it a calmer and less dramatic atmosphere which makes sense. The first loop is blasting your way out of interrogation, the second is more looking for an escape/talking with Mishkin. Now for something completely different. The thing this track reminds me of (especially x) is screwing around with the cutscene at the end and having Natalya die in weird and funny ways while Bond runs up and poses.
Thankyou! I watched a video recently which was a video call and it included both Graham Norgate and Grant Kirkhope, I'll try find it and link it. He talked about when he was first learning how to programme the music onto the n64 and how it was pretty much creating a bar of music, then telling it to repeat several times (I think these days it's called copy and pasting😆). It could be that the system just doesn't loop certain instruments the second time around. Either way I like your thoughts on this one, it does make sense 😉 Oh yeah, I never did the ending thing myself, but have seen various clips of it 🤣 Thanks for listening!!

Ahh man, I'm glad it transported you back to that time! ☺️. Thankyou for listening.
I wonder if Graslu will use these tracks on his modified PC emulator made specifically for this game once they're all done?
I'm not sure he knows I even exist 😆 love that guy though, his content is always top notch!

Absolutely sick. One of my favorite tracks from the game.

@@mattspence1337 You're welcome! Another favorite would have to be Frigate, don't know if you've done that one yet.
