The latest chapter in the SIX YEAR saga of his experience with the New South Wales criminal justice system and Australia's witch-hunt #MeToo culture, leaves us asking “how is this fair?”

If it were only this case then I’d be more inclined to agree with you. But this dog has multiple rape allegations against him. There is no reason anyone should have multiple rape allegations. You can say that tired old “rich men will always be targets” but then what about the vast majority of rich men that don’t have any rape allegations against them, let alone multiple allegations? This guy is just a putrid maggot, and so is anyone coming to his side.

The same thing happened to my best mate. He was also falsely accused. They had ZERO evidence and still took him to trial. His defense team literally had text messages from the accuser where she was collaborating with friends and family to make up the allegations. The judge ruled those messages were irrelevant at trial. WTF!!!!! The judge also broke many other rules as did the DPP. As a result the conviction was overturned on appeal. But even though the judge literally broke the law, nothing happened to him. My mate got a retrial in which he elected for a bench trial rather than a jury. The judge found that there was insufficient evidence to convict him on 6 of the 7 charges. But she still found him guilty on the 7th charge and gave him time served. Even though they were all exactly the same charge and there was as much evidence for the 7th charge as there was the other 6. Which is to say ZERO EVIDENCE.
His lawyers said that the judge only found him guilty on the last charge so that he wouldnt get a payout from the government. It also meant he was getting deported. So he would not be Australia's problem anymore. They just threw him out so they didn't have to deal with the repercussions.
My mate was born in America, but was brought to Aus by his mum when he was a kid. He'd lived in Aus most of his life. All his friends, family and whole life was here. We'd been best mates for 25 years and all because some evil bitch with a grudge made some shit up, he spent 6 years in jail waiting for trials and appeals, was denied bail at every turn because he was American. Then finally after it was all over and he'd served his time for doing nothing, they took him BACK into custody and send him to a detention centre for 3 months while they waited to deport him. The government even kept his super as apyment for the detention. Now he's back in America and he is never allowed to return to Australia. Even when family members die he will not be allowed to come and attend the funeral. There is NO SUCH THING as justice in this country. And my mate met a bunch of other dudes inside who were also falsely accused. This shit is going on all the time. Our legal system is utterly fucked.

Ive taught my two 16 & 17 old sons that consent means nothing when the act is done & the female decides after the interaction that she is a victim. Growing up in the 90s i witnessed so many of my mates getting falsely accused of sexual assault & were arrested solely on the statement made by a female who decided that she is now a victim. Without first conducting a neutral/fair investigation seeking any witnesses who at the time my mates were arrested without any weight to the allegations. Its sad because the law not only failed to investigate both parties. The victim says shes a victim & automatically the law at the time was only aware of the actual situation when witnesses were aware of the allegations and initiated contact with police ro supply statements of the facts. I have indemnity forms for my sons to issue out to potential future hookups to agree /provide a written & signed consent declaring that any sexual acts was agreed and understood by both parties before any sexual interactions. We live in a sad world

How does someone even meet up w someone who supposedly already digitally sexually assaulted them? This woman is a liar & this doesn’t make any sense. It’s pathetic that a human would be so greedy & sue a rich person for money. It’s also completely shocking as I know a lot of my friends & myself including all joked about Jarryd Hayne biting a private area bc it jst sounded funny to joke about w the boys. But in hindsight I feel completely terrible for Jarryd Hayne. This ruined his Career. This ruined his public profile & public opinion, this border line ruined his life.
