    Great job I like how it hope just about the right high not to krazy like with reef’s servos they no much you’res have the perfec high to hope 👍🏼👌🏻awesome job like allways bro !!!

      Just as crazy as the Reef 300 these A81BHP just front heavy so limited ups. Big brushless motor don't help lol but goal is to keep OG layout no relocations or flipped transmission but still some ups. The Hopper Monte's are insane I just want the guys who already pioneered the hoppers to be the guys see doing it. If I built one now n made videos I'd feel like I'm leaching off they work since still so new and they working out the R&D
      Figures Monte #2 I make a Hopper over the summer and then I can big up one of the OG Hopper set up

      @@NorthSideCustomRC lol I feel you bro but I do like way better the way you’res is layout as a dancer I think you hit the right hight also I like the Monte more as a dancer than a hopper!! But like a few I seen with the 4 reef’s 300 to me that’s to Krazy much prof to you once I again I like the way more they way yours is layout with that OG style specially seen it 4 wheels up the ground 😎👍🏼

    I am learning alot and I have a question for you . Does the ESC that came with the Redcat 79 Montecarlo have to be replaced ?
    Because I have installed the BEC set at 8.4 v and the ESC sticker shows 7.4 v and I have no throttle ?
    And the ESC is flashing red when I turn on the switch on wheel well in rear tire . Thank you in advance for your video and your answer. 👍

    Whats best budget hopping servo out there is? Is it still the 209mg?

    Hey bro. How did you solder in the BEC wires? Did you just wrap them around the wires to the battery connector and solder them?

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the bec is soldered in at the connector. When adding a connector to the esc, I solder on the BEC wires same place same time

      @@NorthSideCustomRC I found on Amazon an adapter that connects to the kind of connector you show in this vid that will allow it to connect to the banana connection already in the car. Could I use that and just solder the BEC into the red and black leads?

    Hey I have a question so I bought a redcat 59 Chevy Impala I bought a BEC and the programming kit for the Bec can I set the Bec and put it into the car on stock servos? And if I can what should I set the voltage 2 on the Bec to make sure that I don't have any burnouts on my servos.

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Reef servo is rated 8.4v but the 25kg in back rated 6.8v but even the stock electronics run them at 7.4v
      Many other pump them at 8.4v no problem but it's at ur own risk, I ran them at 7.4v through a bec zero issue but I swapped to 8.4v electronics anyway.
      Alternatively you can use a bypass connector on the BEC so it only powers the front servo and the rear run on factory bec through esc

  • @gregdavis9532

    Very helpful! Do I need to install a BEC in a 64 to get a higher hop or will a reefs 300 servo and a 7.4 lipo do the trick?

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      With factory electronics you will only get 7.4v to the servo, the jump from 7.4 to 8.4 is significant and 100% must to get the most pop out of any hop servo including Reefs 300. The Bec is the way to go, a good idea is to pair it with a Hobbywing 1080 at sane time. You need to solder the connector so might as well hook bec up at same time and 1080 is much smoother and much more quiet

    • @NorthSideCustomRC

      Yes, but need to make sure the lead off esc to receiver has the power (red) wire eliminated so the external bec and internal bec dont have different voltage and burn up

      Very similar just the Castle BEC Pro vs the Castle Bec. instead of a Brushless system tho it has a Hobbywing 1080, this is the esc I would recommend for these Lowriders

    Just got the power hobby 209s for the front. I was going to wait and order a BEC and a 1080 ESC next week before I install them. I’ve been out of RC’s for about 20 years now. Could you put me up to speed on Lipo please? I only have the stock battery. I’m just looking to get about the same amount of mount out of mind as yours. Thank you very much.

    • @NorthSideCustomRC

      lipo we after is 3s lipo so we can give system consistent 8.4v power. as for what one to get Redcat has Lipo or any aftermarket battery will work, just need to make sure the size fits, and nowadays we opt for xt60 connectors many batteries and esc have this as they option

    👌 noice thanks for this video. question tho can I run 7.4 lipo with bec set for 8.4v and stock esc. thanks

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because the 7.4 lipo get charged to 8.4v
      The problem is as battery drain the voltage go down performance go down with it.
      Peep use 3s cuz it's charged to 12.6v and you can run bec constant at 8.4v while pack voltage go from 12.6 to 8.4v before start to lose performance

      No different, the lead off the esc with red wire pulled out plugs into the harness. Harness plugs one side receiver chan 2 the other goes into lights control box, follow light kit installation instructions

    Is it safe to run a 7.2v lipo with a bec set to 8.4 with 4 reefs

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You sure can but the max charge on 2s is 8.4v. As you use the RC voltage is dropping she getting weaker as she go. 3s 12.6v so it can hold 8.4v steady

    • @NorthSideCustomRC
      @NorthSideCustomRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Should be safe with any aervo rated for 8.4v but be better if on 3s
