The best time investment to learn everything you need to get started with KDP publishing! I really enjoyed watching this video, taking notes, it is so well explained, thank you so much for making this video for us, it is very valuable and the BEST one i have seen so far. I wish i had found it sooner and started off the bat with your recommendations.
I watched this video almost 3 times and made some notes from it. We appreciate you for putting some value on the Internet for completely free👏 I can't wait to book a call soon with you❤🎉
HELLO Ken, Thank you so much Your videos change my KDP journey most of the videos I watch I end up being disappointed but since I discovered your channel my publishing game changed and I'll soon join your mentorship platform for lifetime mentorship.
Whoa, such an extraordinarily thorough instruction for 2024 Amazon KDP low-content publishing! Your advice is really helpful, and I value the clarity you offer at every stage. For someone who is somewhat new to KDP, your video has changed the game. In related news, I would adore a video where you evaluate and rank the books of subscribers. The community may have a fantastic opportunity to grow and refine their work. How do you feel?
A great video and tbh I was looking for this topic. Now I have one more request, kindly create a video for high content books as well. Will be thankful for that
Very useful video even for me who is not an absolute newbie. Ken, could you make a more detailed video on how to develop our brand? I really appreciate all your content.
Thank you! You're so generous with your time and knowledge! Wishing you all t he best in the New Year as well! (P.S. I am learning to draw to do my own illustrations: )
Thank u for all ur information..,super video. I just never ubpnderstood why illustrators I hire just don't make thier own books why design for me? Same with ghost writers
Because publishing a successful book is a lot more work/money than simply illustrating/writing. Writers just like to write, illustrators just like to illustrate. They don’t want to deal with the risk/business stuff or publishing
Say start KDP from zero, have zero money for Ads! But if I have a couple of good books after lots of research and very good SEO, is it possible to sell even if I spend $0 on ads. (Taking a couple of weeks/months is fine for me)
Yes I think it is, but I recommend spending a lot of time on keyword research. Finding profitable keywords with little competition in which you can rank high easily. I do recommend having a few ads at the start to get some sales and boost your book, but maybe only like $20. The overall goal to make sales is ranking on page 1 with a search term that has lots of demand. So the game here is to find that without the competition. Then you won’t need to run the ads to rank on page 1. But this would be difficult, so I suggest finding the budget for at least 50$ over the whole month.
I always hear the word Spanish market American market or french market what does that mean ? How can we classify the markets since it is one platform please
It is just if your books shows up on those websites, there are Amazon websites for many different countries. When you upload your book, on the pricing page. Whatever countries you price your book in are the countries your book will show up!
On the search for keywords, what if you find a niche with not many competitors (less than 1000) but when you look at the books in the first page there are only one or two related to that topic and the rest have nothing to do with it? Would that mean that people are looking for that but nobody’s really fulfilled the demand yet, except for one or two books? That would mean it’s a good niche, right? Or am I understanding that wrong?
Yes, that’s totally right. In this case, I would try a few different search terms to make sure the books aren’t selling under a different search term. If they have low enough reviews, ideally this is what you want to look for. All relevant books are doing well with low enough reviews to compete with them. Even if they have higher reviews depending if there are multiple books doing well it still might be a god keyword. If we can ideally rank high in front of the traffic that’s a win
My activity book for adults is launching in a few days. I want to get reviews. I’ve looked at services but thinking of posting on my neighborhood FB forum offering a free book on which they can provide an Amazon review if they wish to do so. Is this against Amazon’s rules? Since it’s an activity book, I think it needs to be to provide the actual printed book vs a PDF. Thoughts?
Yes that’s okay! Amazon allows you to leave an unverified review if you’ve never purchased the item for this purchase. Just don’t let anyone leave a review who shares an address with you! Amazon doesent like this.

Do you repurpose the insides and post them as digital products over on etsy?
Not something I’ve ever done but if they are unique illustrations could for sure be a good idea!
