I purchased my OffShore in 1998. The first time I saw it, I put it on and never took it off. I left with a watch I didn’t intend to purchase. It is my everyday watch still to this day. Please don’t ever change the original design. It was a great time the first ten years or so very few people even knew what I had on my wrist. I miss those days.

I wish I could do that today!!!!
I have walked in … made appointments… talked watches at the AP house .. but not once have I been given the chance to buy an off shore or a royal oak… of any style size or color of any kind…… I’ll just keep stopping in and asking until I can get one….

Mr. Bennahmias is matching so perfect to AP. Really sad he is leaving but sure the AP family chooses a good successor. And very interesting to listen to such watch experts. Could listen to those storys the whole day 😄

I thought Francois is leaving AP? The purple panther is strange but thank goodness he’s plugged back in to the Marvel universe 🤣

Not a big fan of AP CEO. While it is true that he earned praises by making AP more desirable through this “we operate our own retail boutique” strategy, I wonder on the impact he did on many retailers who lost the business despite having supported the brand when only few are aware of this brand; and also those many past customers that were turned off by the said strategy.

Direct distribution brings a goldmine opportunity: AP receives direct feedback from the market.
They hear what customers like about a watch and what they would like to have seen differently in the future. This feedback is crucial to create successful future watch collections.
The multi-brand retailers only think about one thing: selling their inventory as much as possible. What is the easiest way of doing that? Asking watchmakers to make watches similar to the retailer’s bestselling models.
You can see how have a gatekeeper between the end customer and the watchmaker can result to crucial mistakes (the company losing its identity & trying to sell the same type of watches as its competitors’ bestsellers).

In addition, customers who visit the AP Houses spend 3 times more than customers who visit the AP Boutiques. That is why in the next few years AP is going to make sure that half of their stores are AP Houses.
A lot of young people (it applied for me to for a while) feel there is too big of a barrier to just casually enter a watch boutique and learn about a watch brand while trying on some watches.
The new and modern boutiques of brands like AP, IWC and Panerai are trying to break this barrier by making the stores more accessible to potential customers.

AP is ruining its reputation with the Marvel Collaboration. Its so embarrassing to see APs now.
