2024 Kawasaki KX450 On A Rough Dez Turn Track

- With some rain in Southern California recently we decided to test a couple things on our 2024 KX450. Growing up in the desert there is no shortage of tracks and most of them are rough. This track is no exception. Tight with square edge chop that is tough to get a flow on. These kind of tracks really show the strengths and weaknesses of bikes and it's nice to see/feel that the KX450 modifications that we've done is going in the right direction.

Being old and having to go to work on Mondays, I could just ride stuff like that and be happy.
For real, some of these tracks are getting out of hand

im 64 and tried or lets say have been trying to get my local track to make a turn track and they keep saying why.......dumb fuchs

i hope the manufacturers realize how much power you have.......i went to the honda shop today and saw a 2024 crf450 and yes you are correct, they do look very nice......but because of you i wouldnt buy one......id probably buy an rmz450 if i could find a new one for 5 grand.......and do the suspension for woods racing
I was going to go out there by Stoddard Wells and Bell mountain today but l thought it was going to be more cold and windy. I have a real time Doppler Radar on that area, and it barely rains out there. Supposed to get 1/3 " Thursday but only got 4 hundredths on an inch. Should get a ton for the next week.😊
one of my all time favorite place to ride offroad. Grew up riding there staging right next to grange. Used to do 120 mile loops out there twice a week. Theres a few whoop sections out of that area leading into johnson that are legitimately about 4-5 miles straight of some deep nasty stuff. Best day i ever had out there was in a back to back snow storms, was supposed to be clear the day i went and it was whiteout snowing. Good memories. Go hit slash for me
@@user-mo8tm4jw2l l have little 20 - 25 mile loops out there . Love rollers and whoops . I mostly ride by myself, so l have to stay close to the Main road ( Stoddard Wells) . So fun getting your loop wired, and hauling at race speeds. I rarely trail ride......l need the good cardio fitness . I live 15 minutes away from the area . 😁
Fun Video!! Miss the high dez, grew up in southern NM and it isnt much different. People need to realize that kind of riding area is super important to gaining and maintaining skills. That said, Is that an "X" model by chance? I work at a Kawi dealer and prepped one. No difference that I can see, even in the parts fiche, ie; engine component part numbers are the same and the engine serials show no deviation.
What’s the triple clamp offset measurement from the 2023 to the 2024.

i went to a honda shop today and they had the 2024 crf450 there on the floor and i heard the seat was too hard in many videos i watch so i squeezed and pushed on it and its not hard to me.......but i will say the surface of it was like 80 grit sandpaper......
It's not the density, but the sides of the foam breaking down and your butt hitting the subframe rails..
Bike seems a little too big for the track. Would be a good track for a 250 or a CRF250F.
Keefer why did you choose the Pro can instead of the regular Ti 6? Would the non pro be less restrictive?
pro can will pass an ama sound check thats the only difference to my understanding
Great Q and I cover this in article on my site Monday but it’s more of linear feel and sound for me.

when i was in the honda shop they had fly racing goggles for 100 bucks........my question is are they that much better then the 25 dollar 100% goggles i buy on amazon?

Why go out to the Dez to just do Moto ? I know it's good turn practice, but ..... So much more to do.

Love the high desert but if BLM ranger catches you. Big fine. Basically all new dirt bikes are illegal to ride there now. No more red sticker program. Ca politics suck
