- Like I said in the beginning of this video: I always say on this channel that I got into this series when I was twelve, and since I'm turning twenty two this year, I thought this would be fitting. I think it will! Its such a genuinely fun and easy series to read. I was worried rereading id discover it wasnt as good as I remembered, but honestly it was absolutely as enjoyable as my memory of an overactive reader that lowkey grew up with Percy. Its a genuine masterpiece through and through in my opinion.
I’m re-reading Percy Jackson and The Herous of Olympus and I’m like “WHY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT PERCY JACKSON ANYMORE???” And the Hunger Games too!!! Like everybody still talks about Harry Potter... it kinda makes me sad so thank you for making this vlog, I loved it 🥰
Because there were the movies who made a bigger fanbase,but after the show will be released there will be a lot more Percy Jackson fandom because it will be know from most people

*sighs* I literally finished rereading the pjo series like a month ago and I want to reread them again I love them so much they are the books that not only got me into reading but also made me feel happier and not alone. 12yearold Percy can just blink and I will start crying without stopping. There is this magic in these books that make you smile,laugh and cry at the same time I can't I love it so much

I read the first book, but I didn’t click with the characters as much as with the other arcs, but I might give it a second chance
I’ve read it too and omg it’s amazing. Read it at 10. Have reread it around 10 times. My friend is about to read them (she’s never read Rick’s books before) and she’ll fall down the PJO hole, I’m sure.
Well, Kane Chronicles is awesome, the plot is insane, and all that stuff but I don’t like it as much as his other series. Out of the two Kane siblings, my favourite is Carter and I always felt like the writer was favouring Sadie, so it kinda pissed me off. Just because of that, I can’t reread them. Whenever I try, I read the first chapters with my teeth gritted and finally get tired of seeing Sadie bashing Carter and him doing nothing about it. If Carter could grow a backbone against his sister - btw I’m not saying he doesn’t have a backbone, I’m just saying he doesn’t make use of it sometimes- I think I would definitely like this series as much as PJO or HOO or MCaTGoA.

Oh god Zoë... everytime I read Titan's Curse I always start off like "this fucking bitch" and then I'm sobbing by the end
I think Apollo in the first series is like "Hey, look at me, I'm a god, I'm hot and you know it, I'm Apollo and I'm the best you will see" and then, in the Trials of Apollo he's more... depressed? Like, he feels so bad with him and miserable, and all that thing, and it's so different, but yeah, I love the Apollo of Titan's Curse more than the Trials of Apollo one
Percy Jackson has always been such a huge part of my life. Others may not understand my emotions for this series but yeah PJO is what made my childhood. I will just never forget these books and the characters. They'll stay in my heart. Forever. 💞💙💞

I picked up the percy jackson series in the 4th grade from a scholastics book order as a box set. I am now a senior in high school and Rick riordan is still my favorite author to this day, kids books or not they will never get old for me. Kind of off topic but im hoping rick riordan will make a over arching series that links all the mythologys together as theres been short stories and proof that they exist in the same world (Son of Sobek short stories, magnus being annabeths cousin etc.)

Once, me and my family were camping I. France (we live in the uk) and me and my sister really wanted to make blue chocolate chip cookies for Percy’s birthday, but we weren’t able to because we didn’t have a camping oven. So this year, I am making up for lost time.

So I have always been obsessed with this series. I love percy jackson. Idk if you know but disney plus is working on a percy jackson TV series with the writer of the books Rick riordan. Should be out by 2022 and they plan to follow the actual books including their ages.

I read the series for the first time when I was nearly 17. I’m 25 now, and I still love re reading them. I’m currently re reading the series, and I’m loving it so much! Percy Jackson is the series that got me into reading, so it will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️
Also, when I saw Rick Riordan a few years ago, he revealed that the book was going to be called ‘The Son of the Sea God’ 😂
Another thing is that I can’t hate the movies(at least the first one) since it’s what introduced me to the series in the first place(I struggled with reading as a kid)

I got Sea of monsters, Titans curse and Battle of the labyrinth from the library again and then bought it. Finished Sea of monsters in three hours and today I reread the Titan's curse (I forgot how much I LOVE that book) took me longer because I didn't wanna finish it! I'll reread the battle of the labyrinth tomorrow.

Obviously I feel this video soo much! I started reading the Lightning Thief when I was 9, so 9yrs ago and I had to read them in German as my first language. So I had to wait them come out in German and I reread them just till the next came out. I just love how Riordan made the love story between Annabeth and Percy.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Starting in the 2nd book when Percy put Annabeth in the fleece, trying to save her. It's so amazing when in the 3rd book Percy's thoughts are like all the time around Annabeth. When he really gets mad at Luke or when he volunteerly holds the sky for Annabeth. They share that little curl which will stay grey. (It's also mentioned when they went through the underground as they fell into that hole in the 2nd season). The 4th book starting Sally and Percy talking about that Date Percy and Annabeth will have after the 1st day of school. Or when Annabeth gets mad all the time Percy talks with Rachel. Or that goddamn kiss. Or that what after this happens on Ogygia. That freakin hug gets me all the time. Or when Percy and Annabeth were in the Athena cabin, Percy noticing the lil owl earrings. The 5th I know we don't have to say ANYTHING about it because we all know and love every scene between these two. I just love love love Rick putting these little hints making them grow bigger and bigger. I love it.
This makes me emotional. I skipped the spoilers because I also want to reread this series. MY GOD I LOVE THIS VIDEO!
Who's watching 2019 November. Also my mom had the Percy Jackson series laying around, I had no idea what it was. After I read the wings of fire series I was excited. I read a few chapters of the lightning thief and fell in love. I was reading in class while everyone was working instead of sleeping I read and since I had the whole series and told myself I gotta read more. I found out a about heroes of Olympus and more. I love the series, and I jumped when I found out who his dad was. And I was shocked when Luke tried to kill him, Luke I trusted you >:'(. Also when Percy was about to die I told myself there's 4 more books he can't die. Also don't you always have a moment with a book where you read it in a day and just realized what you just did, anyone no just me. "I think we were supposed to run in to your hot sister." - Leo (Ok not completely the same.) Btw "You drool when you sleep." - Annabeth.

Omg the nostalgia!!! I was like 11-12 when these books became hugely popular. I remember my friends reading them in the halls waiting for class to start. I remember talking about these books during lunch as we listened to grungy music from our favorite bands, these were the dayssss! Kids these days will never understand the joys of reading this series.
The PJO series is the BEST series to reread even if its just a few weeks after you've finished it for the first time. It's so action packed that it's difficult to remember all of it. I forget a lot of the plot until I think about it or like look at a chapter title. *insert laugh here*
Percy is awesome, I think he's one of the only protagonists I like, because Rick writes really good protagonists!

I started rereading the series for the first time since I was like 12 or 13. I'm turning 19 this year and The Percy Jackson Series really played a major role in my life and my reading. It was the first book series I'd ever read and I fell in love with it from the first page. Funny enough I found out about it from the movies( back when I was younger that movies was still amazing to me) but when I read the books it changed my perspective completely and I appreciated the books so much more for it. To this day it's my favourite book series and I hope that one day it'll get a live action adaption that does the books at least some justice ( maybe a TV series on Netflix or something). Anyway I'm just rambling at this point. Love your channel since I don't see so many people so passionate about the PJ books as you.❤️

I finally read the series back in March 2020 after hearing the news that the series is being adapted into a show on Disney+. So far, I’ve only read Percy Jackson & The Olympians and Heroes of Olympus. I still want to read the other series. I love the series so much and it’s my second favorite after Harry Potter. I feel like rereading the books after finally getting our Percy cast at the right age. I’m so excited for the show. Based on how accurate the casting was, I know the series will be very accurate and so much better than the trashy movies. I can’t wait until the show comes out.

You should do both, but HOO first. I loved it and I'm currently rereading them too. And I go through and realize how much I actually forgot of the books and how much I love these books. They are my favorite series out of all the books I have read so far and they are timeless to me as well.
Also I agree, Grover is underrated and I love Nico to pieces. He is and will always be one of my top 3 (if not number 1) character for the entire pjo universe.

I accidentially did the excat same thing rereading all the Percy Jackson Books exactly ten years later. I started reading them at the age of 11 from the library and then my family moved and we changed librarys and so i could not read them a second time.
I kind of forgot about them but i always have been in to greek mythology so recently i found the Titans Curse in a secondhand bookstore and just had to buy it. After that i decided i wanted to reread the series and bought all the books. and then I heard of Heros of Olympus. I started my reread at the end of april, finished them all in may and now i am reading Heros of Olympus for the first time. I am absolutely loving it. Currently on book 4, the house if hades, and its just the best. I need every other Rick Riordan book, and a HoO Vlog from you. (:

I literally started the book series again this week ,after reading them for the first time five years ago, bc i need to read the trials of apollo books. reading them again literally reminded me why i love them dam books in the first place. I get you what you mean about Apollo, at first I didn't really like his character too much in the Trials of Apollo, which kind of annoyed me because I love Rick's books and I didn't get why. I justified it a bit because for 10 books straight we've been reading through the perspective of struggling demigods and with Apollo's chracter it was kind of like seeing through the lens of someone so out of touch from everything, which didn't do much for his likability. But trust me he gets so much better as the series progresses it's insane, I mean at least that happened for me, to the point that he's definitely one of my top characters now (of course Percy will always be top lol). There's just so much evolving and growth it's insane how well Rick can paint a picture of such a messed up character and guide you through their changes and still keep you laughing.
I love this video so much Ashley and it makes me want to reread all the Percy Jackson books too. Also I agree with the Apollo thing. He's not as great in the Trials of Apollo series. I want to love him and that series but I'm kinda left dissapointed (jet to read the burning maze though).

I was a obsessive reader when i was a kid to escape some stuff. haven't really read a lot in a couple of years. but this started back on my obsession on reading again. I don’t know if it’s coming near you because it’s toward the last bit of the tour (or if you’ve seen it already) but you have to see the lightning thief musical. It so good and amazing accurate to the books? I vlogged my friends and I going and the last section of it is just us ranting about it and how our 12 year old selves were so happy
