In the movie there was a scene where "Annabeth" first met Percy when he woke up and she fed him nectar. She actually said "you drool when you sleep" and they CUT IT OUT!
They also cut the part to where Grover tells Percy about Thalia. They had an opportunity to at least makes some similarities between book and movie Grover, and they wasted it. They probably couldn't keep up with the serious side of Grover for the rest of the movie when all he does is make a fool out of himself.

Oh gosh.... don‘t remember me about this battle. When Silena was killed by the Drakon. And how Clarisse killed him and dragged him her chariot. This scene will be so epic!
Honestly, one detail I liked was that all the campers seemingly began to ship Percy and Annabeth after she pecked him on the check in Sea of Monsters. Especially with the way Clarisse said, "It's about time." When they finally kissed at the end of The Last Olympian. Not to mention, the campers dumping them in the lake

The biggest thing I wanna see is diverse casting that's accurate to book descriptions! Ages. Medusa being middle eastern. Clarisse being a "big girl." Like the book has such a diverse group of characters, whereas the movie cast had very little diversity (pretty much just Grover).

@@Naked_Ryan yes as long as she does a good job portraying the character I’m perfecting fine and happy. The only setback I had was that I had always imagined the characters a certain way(as they were described by Rick in the books) so I think it’ll take me a while to get used to the difference but I’m sure it’ll be fine!
Villians being diverse as much as the heroes is a good thing in my opinion.
And if the Percy Jackson series does well On Disney+ then let’s see if they do a Kane Chronicles series because i love that series too

Maybe not getting knocked out, but instead just an end credit scene of him waking up (A year or two later) in an "unknown" location. This way they'd be able to do a Kane Chronicles series (If they so desired, which I would hope they do) and be able to have Percy / Kane cross-over miniseries that would canonically take place between The Last Olympian and Heroes of Olympus.
I mean, it is all in the same universe. :D And Disney does love itself the big universes.

abigail paige I live in the UK so I don’t think that I was ever able to have to chance to watch it (it sucks, I know). As a big PJO and HoO fan, and after the (overall) disappointing movies, I’m relying on this series to bring Percy Jackson back!

I feel that the concept of Rachel and Annabeth represents Percy’s life in general
Rachel represents Percy’s mortal life, which includes Paul, Estelle, and Sally.
And Annabeth represents his Half blood life, which includes camp half blood, Annabeth herself, Grover, Thalia...
And he would have to choose between the two lives like he has to choose between Rachel and Annabeth
Except he didn’t choose which is one of the few problems I had with TLO Rachel chose.

Honestly i really can't see rachel and percy together but i wanted to see a little bit of percy choosing between her and annabeth and hopefully he chooses annabeth and i want to see him turn rachel down and see rachel realize the she doesn't truly love percy but only sees him as a friend and see her realize that she truly wants to be the Oracle there fore she is ok with her being rejected by percy
I wonder how they will do the hunters. Cause I really want to see the actors and actresses grow up with the series, like in the Harry Potter series. But the hunters don’t age, and Thalia is in multiple of the later books. So yeah, idk, but I’m really excited to see how things will play out.
if i had to guess i’d say they’d probably give the hunters as little lines as possible besides the ones that are full fledged characters so that they can swap them out easily without us noticing. as for Thalia she is days away from being 16 so they could easily cast a 17 or 18 year old actress who will not age much in the three years or so years it would take to film.

I really loved your analysis on why Rachel brings comfort and familiarity to Percy and why Annabeth and Thalia can't bring themselves to kill Luke. I used to hate Rachel, but she eventually grew on me. Your analysis on Percy and Rachel's dynamics was wonderful! And I can definitely see why Percy is left to fight Luke instead of Annabeth and Thalia. Again, great analysis!

I want an episode JUST FOR CAPTURE THE FLAG! That was such a big moment in the first book, and it portrayed annabeths and Luke’s relation ship and how annabeth wanted luke to be happy. And was willing to give up getting credit to make him feel good about himself.
I want to know what they're going to do about Gabe and how we have references that he abused both Sally and Percy so what they're going to do cuz this is Disney
Like are they going to do it more like the musical where it's very obvious or they're going to have it more subtle like in the books but they have to bring that in because it's an important issue and it shapes a lot of the choices that Percy makes.

i think it will be a on the subtler side, but everyone over the age of 10 would probably understand. like if sally flinches when he moves too fast or speaks too loudly. or if he makes a remark that has threatening undertones.

I mean especially lately Disney has been more open about showing sensitive topics especially since this show will be most seen by 13-25-year-olds.

GUYS!!!! Imagine if they had a CHB replica built!!! They can close it down from everybody else when the show is being filmed (and it could be filmed there for some parts of the story), but during summer, it’s open for kids!! They can be claimed and have one of the counselors (the one from the cabin the kid gets claimed to) declare where the kid belongs!! And some people older than a certain age (maybe seventeen or eighteen) can sign up as satyrs or nymphs! They can work there, and also have fun at the same time!! So the cabins are accurate, the layout is accurate, there’s a lake, and a climbing wall, and horse riding, and sword practice (with fake swords which look real), a strawberry field, and everything else. Imagine how fun that would be!! AND it would be accurate in the show!!
EDIT: So I’m going to talk more about ideas, just because, haha. So with the claiming system, they have one of the counselors ask a series of questions to a new camper (all of the heads of each cabin test different kids so that it won’t take forever to have the newcomers claimed), and have the kid claimed based on whose kid they sound like. So, for example, the counselors can ask “favorite time in a twenty-four hour day?” “How do you like olives?” “Do you swim much?” “Where have you lived before? How high an altitude?” “Are you very athletic?” “Do you enjoy books or movies more?” “Favorite food?” “What terrain do you think looks prettiest?” “What activity do you think you’ll enjoy most, here, at camp?” “Name three things you think you’re really really good at” Etc. and based on the answers, the counselor can decide whose kid the newcomer sounds like. And campers are also welcome to say “I think I’m (insert god/goddess)’s kid” and the counselor can see how likely that is. And they don’t have to be claimed on the first day or two either. Over the first week or something, the counselors can watch each kid for certain attributes and have meetings and discuss where they think each kid might belong and narrow it down to where each kid gets to be claimed. And I was thinking that maybe the people who like Percy Jackson and are goblincore/cottagecore (or something close to it) can choose to be nymphs or satyrs or something, and give each other tips on dressing up and stuff for it, since that’s really fun, and can teach kids about stuff they’ve learned (like how to make flower crowns and how to identify types of birds and insects and types of plants and super cool stuff like that). And they can have capture the flag like in the books (just without real weapons) too!
And if it happened, maybe Uncle Rick would be a big part of making sure the layout and cabins and stuff are accurate!

Can't wait for Season 3 already. My favorite book. They are going to introduce Thalia, Zoe Nightshade, The General, Artemis, Apollo, Bianca and Nico, Athena at the Hoover Dam, a small glimpse of Rachel, The Nemean lion, The manticore, Annabeth's father, Ladon, Talos, the giant boar.
It is just filled with amazing scenes, can't wait to see Percy take the weight of the sky from Artemis as Zoe Nightshade battles her father and two of the most powerful half bloods in the world (Thalia and Luke) fight in one on one combat.
OMFG I FORGOT UMA WAS MEDUSA. if disney does not invest a lot of money into this i'm going to be realllll disappointed
You put the Annabeth, luke, and thalia thing into words perfectly. I can never fully describe why I love their relationship so much but you put it PERFECTLY. Their relationship is so heartbreaking but beautiful and the whole story just makes you want to cry it's such an amazing story and you put it together so masterfully. Thank you.

When you brought up the Hoover Dam scene my mind immediately jumped to the part where I recognized the “Dam” scene and how I forgot that was a scene in the books. But it brought me to the part that i remember from that scene. Percy was trying to use the Mist on Rachel to hide his sword when he’s hiding from the monsters attacking him and when Rachel comes up to him he almost cuts her head off in fear of the monsters chasing after him and Rachel takes it upon herself to grab Percy and to shove him into the girls bathroom after she yells at him for having a sword. I feel like this is an iconic scene that deserves to be loved by everyone.
The Nico and Reyna chapters in Heroes of Olympus make me tear up every time. They're in SO much pain. I've never even been close to that much pain in my entire life.

@@SheWalkedAlone27 It really would. I always found it pretty intriguing that a fair majority of their interactions in The Titan's Curse involves them bickering. They have such a sibling relationship and I'm 100% here for it
oh oh also the part when Thalia leaves the tree and becomes human again, like the fact that annabeth was crying grover and chiron couldn't believe it, and percy was the one who took her because his git feeling and his dreams told him that that wss Thalia, either his best friend ir biggest rival.
@@lovingfullsun_mj4156 Funnily enough, both end up becoming true to a degree. They bicker quite a bit in TTT, but after a certain point in the book, they just stop arguing completely. Heck, the first thing Thalia does after joining Artemis is hug Percy. I'm really excited to see their dynamic unfold on screen
The relationship between Percy and Annabeth is just so realistic. They don’t immediately jump to “I LOVE YOU LETS KISS YAAAAAAAAAY” like most books. It develops slowly and realistically, with so many sweet and trusting moments between them.
Please don’t immediately buy a Disney+ account people. Wait until it actually gets filmed and released. If we all throw money at Disney at the same time on the release date, we might get HOO someday. Let’s all schedule it for 9:00AM Eastern Time on the release date.

I love the musical. It is a blessing to the Percy Jackson fandom. Love the references they sprinkle in it and the way they do things is just beautiful. Also, the soundtrack is just wow.

PLEASE do a Percy Jackson Musical hype video!!! I had the lowest expectations for the musical when I went to see it but it was truly such a joy! My friend and I got second row seats for the tour and I just had the biggest smile on my face the whole time! Its certainly not the best musical in the world but it did SUCH a good job at capturing the little things and even though they were adults you still felt the child like energy from the books. I'm so hesitantly excited about the tv show. I think it would be wrong of Disney to not put money and time into doing this series right. If they give it the love it deserves and do it like HP or stranger things it's going to be amazing.
One thing i hated about the movie is you cant see how much annabeth cared about luke they just made it seem like hes was just a random person at camp that she kind of knew

I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to see the dam snack bar scene. Yes, it's very childish, but you've got to remember that Thalia, Percy, Grover, and Zoe are like emotionally drained after Bianca's death that a good laugh was good for them. Anyway, everytime I reread the books I laugh out loud everytime. I also really want to see Clarisse be a total savage with her civil war ship the CSS Birmingham in the Sea of Monsters, she is so tough and brave and strong. I honestly don't think Clarisse gets enough credit for how much of a beast she is until literally half way through the Last Olympian. Finally I can't wait to see Percy and Annabeth develop and become really good friends, and then see them make up after the Battle of the Labyrinth and become Percabeth. I could list so much more things, but I will stop rambling. But finally the PJO fans biggest dream is finally coming true!!! To see it in real life!

Ahhh, I'm so excited for the series, I really hope it does well since Rick is actually working on it with them this time. I have never wanted to be cast in a show so bad in my entire life. I love Annabeth, she's such a strong character. Once casting calls are open, I'll be auditioning, for sure. I just have to dye my hair honey blonde, but my eyes are simular to her color, I have high hopes for the series.

I want to see the epic fight scenes in “The Last Olympians.” Percy fighting off an entire army on the bridge, Grover and the other Satyrs to turn a titan into a maple tree, Hades leading the army of the undead into battle, etcetera.
Heyyyyyyy, we NEED James Earl Jones to do the voice of Kronos. Would'nt it absolutely insane if Luke sits straight up in the coffin and his eyes are pure gold. He jumps out of the office with ease, his scythe flies to his hands and after about a minute of pure silence and suspense. He speaks in James Earl Jones's voice

One little thing I was thinking while you were talking about Nico and Bianca. Whoever is going to get cast as Nico is literally going to have an entire fandom than just adores him. Outsiders are gonna be like "He's just a bratty, emo, teenager" while the entire PJO fandom threatens Disney should they ever harm him, the end will come.
The only thing I’m a tad bit worried about is how they’re going to handle Nico and the diversity. Disney isn’t known for putting LGBT characters in their stories (a single sentence of a cop mentioning her gf and then never mentioning it again doesn’t count). That is if we ever get a Heroes of Olympus series. I just hope they don’t downplay the amazing diverse cast Rick created.

My favorite thing about Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian is how completely clueless Percy is about his love life. I would love that to be highlighted in the show. Talk about pure comedy

I love the musical, too! I went to go see it with my friend in early 2019--we were 22 then. Later I found out that a friend of mine from high school and a few of her friends also went to go see it, so I know you're not the only young adult who's gone to see it. When I'm done writing this comment, I'm going to listen to "Tree on the Hill" again.
I'm nervicited about this series. I have a lot of hopes about how it could go SO RIGHT, but I also have worries about how it could go so very wrong. I'm trying to stay positive, though. I'm looking forward to seeing new young actors take up the roles. I'm looking forward to seeing the camp. I have one (1) fan-cast: Lulu Wilson as young Artemis (or, alternatively, as any young female character who could be played by a 15-year-old).
