  • A Taiwanese ceramist made his name by making large ceramic bowls "dance". Huang Cheng-nan started making thin ceramic works about two decades ago, trying different clay formulas and manufacturing processes.

I respect his work and his decision not to reveal the secret. He shouldn't reveal his secret until some good souls appear and propose him something good for the whole mankind than for personal self interest. This is the work of Zen. It is really impossible for a common artist to craft something like this. I am not from pottery business but I could understand the depth of his eyes. I feel blessed to see this kind of masterpiece.

Those countries who respect their culture, traditions and knowledge have always progressed. We in India chose to follow some other countries than define our own culture… this is killing India from its own identity….. look at me I am writing in English now….😳😳😳

We have the same issues in Africa as well it's due to colonialism. It's very important for us to value and respect our traditional cultures.

It's good for him to make it a patent of his name but let the secret be remain the "secret"...
That's amazing work and highly commendable 🙏👏 that ceramic dancing Bowls are as thinnest and as close to the nano technology...

But what exactly is the point of such a bowl? Can it be use to serve dishes? Or hold anything inside it? Seems to me is just a costly decoration item.
