Hello Everyone I'm torn about this! I choose Wendy overall, but I can't deny YuJu is amazing, too! Wendy when she sings her solo stuff has that timbre that resonates that she doesn't always have when singing in a group. I am going to get people pissed at me for saying this, but I'm waiting for YuJu to go solo because I feel the music Gfriend releases isn't good enough for her vocal range. Their music lacks something that other groups like Red Velvet, Black Pink, Girls Day, F(x), Twice, and Girls Generation have. I heard YuJu sing a Beyonce song a few months ago and lost my damn mind and then when I tried to get into Gfriend I was so disappointed. I'm not saying they are bad, but I just prefer songs with a little more oomph to them. A little more sass and soul to them with that dirty pop, as Nsync used to say! HaHa! I do love some poppy stuff that is a bit cheesy! HaHa! I've yet to hear a Gfriend song where YuJu can blow like she does hear. In contrast Wendy's group has a better quality sound to them and she's able to show off her vocals more. Taeyeon, Wendy and Seulgi, Minah, are just some of the best Kpop idol singers and I feel YuJu is on their level, but the music Gfriend releases sounds like bubblegum pop in comparison. YuJu should have joined JYP or SM or YG. She's that good to me!
Her voice are simply crafted by god, not many idols can sing so perfectly and every words is so clear like her when you see the current generation of kpop talents 98% of them all sound the same. This is why singer like Hwang Chi Yeul, Wheesung and many other senior musical legends had spoke so highly of her...
The acapella parts were just as smooth as a droplet falling down from a melting snowflake. That being said i wouldn't mind her singing the whole song without music; its so beautiful and deep, and the rush of soulful emotions will surely breakthrough that barrier that hold your tears..

'Common voice' is probably cause she's textbook singing. It's not a bad thing, it means she learned how to sing correctly (she needs to practice low registers more tho). But the problem is, people tend to praise singers with certain style, saying how great and unique they sound, despite using incorrect technique. Those that sing like Yuju, especially idols / pop singers, are less appreciated. Sad really.
Everytime i hear her voice i end up feeling so proud of her, she sings with Emotion and her voice reaches all of my feelings. I will never get tired of her
Foreigners would cry for her voice, but for Koreans, we all remember and cry for the original singer of that song, Hae Cheol Shin, the genius, the god, the greatest mento of our life, and the man who have died so soon despite of his talent and his insight to this complex world of uncertainty.
Yuju never fails to impress me everytime i see her, I've said this many times but gonna say this again because she definitely slay whenever she's doing something. And she even hit low register notes at the start especially at 0:34-0:39 (what note was that) aside from slaying the fifth ocatave in later part of the song. But the most important thing is that she brought the audience to tears with her performance!!!! I am so proud of our main vocal!!!!
Can I say how proud I am that I stan this wonderful girl? Because of her and the rest of GFRIEND, I decided to stay on kpop and support them. They're the only gg I stan and some bg and GFRIEND is my ultimate group. So proud to stan them ㅠㅠ Gonna be Buddy foreverㅠㅠ
The reason of why I think Yuju has a unique voice is that she can really express the feeling of a song not only by facial expression but by the way she sings. And that reason alone is what I think most singers would want to. To express the song through their voice.
