That’s why he grew up too diffident person. He even couldn’t say _’Yeah, I have a big secret but can’t tell you beca someone could be in danger’._ She would understand him. But Clark couldn’t do even that. He didn’t do it even at the end of season 9 when Lois insisted to tell the truth. Also here Lana came to Clark to say all what she had inside of her because she tired of waiting for him. His acting was like he just played with her feelings (but she doesn’t know it wasn’t true). Before this scene Clark came to Talon and tried to reunite with Lana. He _really wanted_ it but still _wasn’t ready._ He just give in to an impulse. Lana realized it and that’s why pushed him away.

After that Lana started asking him again to tell her his secret because she didn’t want it (his leaving) repeat. Do you remember the last episode of season 9? Lois demanded Clark to be honest with her because his secret was about to ruin their relationship. In s7 Lana wanted to _punish_ Lex (not kill) and prevent his following crimes. And she _had to_ keep it in a secrets because Clark would object. I compare it with Martha’s secret in season 9 when she _had to_ because Red Queen to protect Clark. The fact that Lana _never_ wanted to kill Lex is proved in ‘Kara’ when she threatened to shoot him but didn’t do it, although no one would blame her because was ‘dead’ that time. Even Lex _knew_ she wouldn’t kill him, that’s why he wasn’t afraid at all. In ‘Nemesis’ and ‘Wrath’, Lana wanted only _scare_ him. In ‘Wrath’, blanking Clark for not being able to put blood on his hands, Lana only _tested_ him to prove _himself_ he would kill anyone. I compare this with ‘Legion’ when the guys from the future told Clark that the _only_ way to save the world was to kill Brainiac (Chloe). After rewatching this episode, I realized they probably were just testing him to prove himself he would find a way not killing anyone.
Clark has lied to Lana many times. He's jerked her around emotionally. He's treated her badly when all she's asked is that he be honest and forthright with her. She's even told him to emotionally step up to the plate or she's history. It's not much to ask in a relationship. But, Clark has been a jerk at times and leaves a lot to be desired as far as his character goes. Clark is the most powerful man in the world, but doesn't have an ounce of sense. Lana has been loving, generous, kind, forgiving, affectionate and loyal to Clark. And he's been a major jerk in return.

Johnathon and Martha found me in a cornfield the day of the meteor shower. I can see through solid objects. Blast fire 🔥 from my eyes (demonstrate by lighting a candle) 🕯️ I can hear someone talking from 3 blocks away. This is the secret I’ve been keeping from you Lana. I was afraid to tell you fearing you would be in danger. So what do you have to say?” There is it that hard? Problem solved. Who’s with me? lol 😂 I think Lana would have understood but Clark had way too much fear. Just spit it out man!! You’ve hurt 😞 Lana enough by not telling her. You can’t be in a relationship and not tell her. Lana left for Paris not having any intention of returning because she was trying to forget about him. Lana loved him so much. So did he but he allowed his fear to rule his heart. Season 3 should have been the season for Clark to tell Lana his secret. 2 seasons is enough to drag this out.
