My mind cannot process that something of this level of craftsmanship and detail only cost $100K!!! I could only imagine how much it would cost here in the states.
The bar/sink area next to the dining table is a good idea. A bit of layering with mirror, pictures, open bookshelves, etc will add dept and homeliness to this space
I liked best how the kitchen can link to the outdoors, but everything flowed together so beautifully, and the storage was beautifully concealed with natural wood.
most TH-cam channels i follow are the western ones so there were no feng shui approaches on the site, yours surely offers fresh perspectives! this is a nicely designed space ♥
Beautiful. My house has multi-toned wood flooring which adds variety therefore my wood furniture fits in with it beautifully. I like wicker work seating and basket work baskets and bowls through out.
love that cooker hood! so futuristic. does it perform well though? like is it powerful enough to suck in the air such that it doesn't stink up the whole place?
The wood chosen is too orangey for a muji theme. Too many built-in carpentry doesnt do justice for a 5-rm. It makes the house so “busy” and cramped. The water dispenser doesnt make sense? It’s just another 5-10 steps to the kitchen. If you really need to make milk in the middle of the night, it’s much easier to just store warm water in a thermal.
I think a second sink is essential, be it in the yard or in the pantry. Since the home doesn’t have a dishwasher, the additional sink provides more convenience to the home owners for washing or making coffee.
I've been watching the Chinese remodeling show 暖暖的新家, and practically all of their "afters" look something like this. Didn't realize there was a name to this style.
@@sukibitch youtube haha th-cam.com/video/HOR-rS7DX84/w-d-xo.html (this is one of the videos of this programme) but I think 梦想改造家would be slightly better
There are a lot of great ideas in this home, but it's weird that they went to all the trouble to 'hide' various things - the storage units and the fan in the bathroom cabinet for example - but didn't hide the plastic plumbing pipes (around 7:35 ) ??

Personally I don't find this design appealing at all. It's the same monotonous orangey wood everywhere (less the ceiling and half the toilet). Midway watching the video I felt claustrophobic. I cant imagine myself living in this apartment for more than a day without feeling dizzy. I feel like the air tunnel is blocked at the dining area (the part where they built the flushed door-wall to the bedroom and toilet). Theres no plants, no vibrance and lack of contrasting colors. Even their sofa is orange my goodness.
For such a big apartment all that extra storage makes it feel extremely cramped... it really has the tiny home feel of japanese apartments, but 120 sq.m is really spacious and definately shouldn't have that claustrophobic feel
You have to look at your bazhi and the direction of the house. There are general guidelines and there's another level where fengshui is customised according the occupants of the house. Go read up about it.
Perhaps I am very wrong. But I won’t spend that kind of money in renovation unless I am sure I am there to stay. Why don’t we use that for condo down payment? And with all the nice furnish up in new condo as a basis (eg marble flooring), you may spend much less to achieve a crazy nice home. Not to mention a lot of home seller can’t even recover their reno cost when the deal is sealed, unless you bought the place like 15-20 yrs ago.
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my partner in the uk. The biggest problem is only one toilet. Our next move wil be... Two bedrooms. A shower room for him with a toilet, a bathroom for me with a toilet. A garage for storage. 🙏
It would take you 2 seconds or less to look at the subtitles that are already provided for you in the video. This channel is based in Singapore. If you want a "perfectly" English speaking person, then watch something based in the U.K.
Agreed. They should have done a re-take and it will make the vlog more tasteful. Husband is more eager to show off his watch than correct his annunciation. I’m glad that his wife speaks better. Detected a Malaysian english accent of the designer.

Just

About half a million probably
The toilet lighting is something new, I've never seen it before. Good job on the reno works!
I like this so much. This is perfect. I've always liked a simple minimalist home with Japanese style. Maybe someday that dream will come true.
This channel is awesome! Can you guys create more HDB content? I feel like young couples can draw inspiration and would really appreciate it!
The downdraft cooker hood is so cool! Didnt expect there is a hidden cooker hood there😍😍
Yes! Glad that you learnt something from this video and now, you’re able to incorporate that into your home if you’d like! 😀
Super clean and sleek but feels more like a workspace than a home ! and the bedroom partition is a no no for me
The bar/sink area next to the dining table is a good idea. A bit of layering with mirror, pictures, open bookshelves, etc will add dept and homeliness to this space
That’s great insight! 👍
firstly, love the bow tie! Second, I love that it matches the wood!
crazy in love with the kitchen and laundry area.
Hope that gives you an inspiration for your next home! 😄
I liked best how the kitchen can link to the outdoors, but everything flowed together so beautifully, and the storage was beautifully concealed with natural wood.
We thought so too! It helps that the color of wood is also very calming! Hope you enjoyed this episode and do come back for more! 😄
Amazingly Stunning. Excellent job. Excellent ideas.
Wow it's really crazy... U gave me more ideas about home and style
Wow, nice apartment. Always love japanese Muji home.
Smart way of doing up a sink area at the living room area. Would have save me lots of time during the night if i have this at home.
So glad that you’ve learnt a tip or 2 in our video! Do remember to come back for content! ☺️

Thank you! Hope you had fun learning a thing or two about Feng Shui! 😄
The designer or builder is totally handsome and beautiful
Very nice details.
really very woody. gave me a back to nature kind of feel
And hopefully you experienced a slice of the tranquil and zen Japan too! 😁
Beautiful.
My house has multi-toned wood flooring which adds variety therefore my wood furniture fits in with it beautifully. I like wicker work seating and basket work baskets and bowls through out.
Where in the video does it show the japanese onsen spa? All i see is the usual toilet fittings
I was thinking the same! Where’s the ofuro 😖
loving the simplicity, minimalism, tones and thoughts given to this design.
love that cooker hood! so futuristic. does it perform well though? like is it powerful enough to suck in the air such that it doesn't stink up the whole place?
It works exactly as a typical cooker hood would! 😄
Food bits sometimes fall in. Cleaning nightmare.
reed glass can allow light pass thru yet outside cant see what inside? correct?

Yeah it made a big home look so cramped. And I did this this particular compact looked so cheap and plasticky and orange.
I think a second sink is essential, be it in the yard or in the pantry. Since the home doesn’t have a dishwasher, the additional sink provides more convenience to the home owners for washing or making coffee.
Wow! Such cool ideas! Inspires me to make changes to my project in planner 5d.
Are MUJI pre-fab houses available in Singapore? I thought they were only sold in Japan. This house is absolutely stunning!
I would love to have a house like this.
I see a lot of cleaning in the future. Good luck.
I just everything about this house wow....

the covered ventilator fan made spill my water.. how is that any way efficient?
open up the cabinets and let the fan run when the smell gets too much perhaps?
hi, love the design and the vlog. can I have the interior design contact?

Neat, clean and most importantly, aesthetically pleasing! We love it too! 😄

^^^ *THIS* ^^
LOLOL!
Not all plumbing pipes are allowed to be concealed. In that case it's clear they could not conceal it.
Beautiful.

its a nice idea but the colour of the wood... and all the inner rooms just complicate things and isn't very Japanese at all! the dining area
To have the sink in the dining area, they had to run the water pipes there specially right? Curious as it's an interesting idea!
What type of wood was used?
Thank you for the video. Can you share the ID contact. Thanks
Wait? Is that Singapore $ or US$?
What’s the wood of the entire house made of? 😯
Wonderful!

Agreed that the wood colour is too orangey. Muji inspired, 🤔
Nice Home. The only thing missing is a Balcony.

I agree. Nice, clean but very monotonous and not inspiring. No living plants anywhere, but the owners wanted to be close to nature 😂
I felt claustrophobic too. It's like I was living inside a furniture
Very nice house
All built in is nice n good but when it ages you will have more problem to replace the woods
Hi can I know what laminate u have chosen for the wood
Hi Wendy, you might want to contact the ID for more information about the specific materials used! ☺️
I actually like it. I loce to conceal everything so it looks neat. And i need storage 😆😆
Looks like we all do! Haha that’s what we all need when living in Singapore! 😆
For such a big apartment all that extra storage makes it feel extremely cramped... it really has the tiny home feel of japanese apartments, but 120 sq.m is really spacious and definately shouldn't have that claustrophobic feel
Only $100,000?! Wow, odd because Singapore is one of the wealthiest countries.
$100,000 is just for the renovation. The house is easily another 600k and up!
@@HeyItsSeb Still not an absurd amount of money. Which is good!
Couldnt understand why carpentry work is done to conceal the ventilation fan and yet not the toilet pipings as well.
nice parroting
Feng Shui requirement to have fridge opposite stove? 🤔
Different Feng Shui Masters have different opinions! Haha depends on your Feng Shui Master! 😄
You have to look at your bazhi and the direction of the house. There are general guidelines and there's another level where fengshui is customised according the occupants of the house. Go read up about it.
Please la you so educated still believe in feng shui. When will you realise it’s just money making scam?
Wait, this 5 bedroom home is only $100,000???? That’s…way less than I was expecting for home like this. Is that in USD or another currency?
That's the cost of the renovation, I believe
They pronounce feng shui as fung suy, which is similar to pronunciation in Manila
nice, but very compact. squeezy.
Nice but for me not minimal enough 😊
Perhaps I am very wrong. But I won’t spend that kind of money in renovation unless I am sure I am there to stay. Why don’t we use that for condo down payment? Downdraft hood is bad.
Don’t install it unless if it’s the only last resort that you have.

Nice but too much stuff stand out. Not enough minimalistic 😂
Lots of nice concepts but why the wife look so tortured?
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my partner in the uk. The biggest problem is only one toilet. Our next move wil be... Two bedrooms. A shower room for him with a toilet, a bathroom for me with a toilet. A garage for storage. 🙏
looks expensive!
And looks nice too? 😄
for me , japanese muji style is all about simple and minimalist. this house is too complicated and too much wood.
to be honest its very easy to figure out that they just say these types of houses are good, coz they live in it.thats no way human should live.
Nothing special for a 100k reno
ok the bow tie is tacky. This kitschy geek look has grown old since the early 2000s.
I rather go for something simple and removable. Design not impressive.
Turn that stupid offensive music off.
Don’t use what stupid imperial measurement system. All world use metric system.
There is absolutely nothing Muji in the design. The interior design is not even minimalistic.
Quite a nice home. But the poor spoken English of the Designer and the Owner/Husband (was he speaking English?) 🤦🏻♀️ reduced the appeal of the video.
Really? I just figured they were phrases that didn't easily translate or didn't easily come to mind. And it was subtitled.
It would take you 2 seconds or less to look at the subtitles that are already provided for you in the video. This channel is based in Singapore. If you want a "perfectly" English speaking person, then watch something based in the U.K.
