Sufferers of Parkinson's are at high risk of dementia and I don't know when the letter was written in regards to the game but it would make sense Also Parkinson's can bring about hallucinations so it all fits in
Haven't finished the video so maybe I'm wrong in which case sorry, but I think her being all weird and empty isn't because she's sick but because she fucking killed her son and his wife. She got parkinson on the side. Edit: "He will never forgive you" is probably what she tells herself because of what she did. She's probably just gone mad from what happened with her son and grandson.
There are many different kinds of dementia. Parkinson’s is one of them. Dementia is kinda an umbrella term, with many different diseases under that umbrella. Alzheimer’s is the most common but a few I can pick off the top of my head are vascular dementia, Parkinson’s, early onset, Lewy bodies and mixed dementia. Not angry, just thought I’d educate y’all
I see where you're coming from and agree to an extent. And I haven't played this game so I don't know how it pans out in the end. But notice how Tom and Simon are always expecting that (predictable) jumpscare? But things just get creepy, it doesn't happen, and they let out that breath like, 'phew, we're in the clear'? Well, I've really liked where this game is going and I think they're in for some more elaborate, real scares.. That will really get them! Hopefully I'm not disappointed lol
Which means tension builds and isn't released, which is why it keeps you on edge. Jumpscares are not a good thing, they're not fear, they're surprise. It's not the kind of fear that lingers, it's the kind of "fear" you get when someone punches you but stops right before it hits your face.
the way james describes his grandma deteriorating. i went through the same thing when my mum had huntingtons desease, she lost tk it two years ago now. from when i was young she could move arkund well and was alright, but then she started to get worse and worse. she had to move into a flat so because she couldnt go up stairs. ithe last six months of her being alive i was going through mental torture, as i only see her twice a week (i live with my dad) id always hear thins through the bight and in the morning which made me crh and put my head under my pillow. in the last month i could tell the steady decline in deterioration was getting steeper. then, one dah during school. i got a message saying she is in hospital and will be ok. the afew hoursafter, when i washome. i was called to go hospital asap to say goodbye. the way she looked was petrifying, but at least i know she was not suffering anymore twhen trying to do normal things we take for granted
I kind of figured hell was right when you guessed it but I am waiting for a story curveball. Maybe it's more like Limbo and Granny went to hell and the protagonist has to come to terms? Nah, probably just hell.
As an intern for an organization that focuses on Parkinson's Disease here's a fun fact: Although Parkinson's is known mainly for the tremors and the shaking (motor symptoms), Parkinson's can also cause a variety of non-motor symptoms like cognitive decline, mood changes, etc. Because of this Parkinson's is labelled as a degenerative condition just like Alzheimer's, of course the thing about Parkinson's is that symptoms can vary so wildly some patients may never have cognitive issues-but it is a possibility.
I agree that the spookyness of the game gets quickly diminished by how unintuitive the puzzles are... it’s frustrating watching I’m glad it’s you guys playing and not me
To be honest if you look back at previous episodes of this series the "grandmother" Is awfully quite shakey... Almost as if she did have Parkinsons disease. Food for thought.
Dear Cult of the dislike-ists I know the last stream may very well have driven you into the mouth of madness. Do not worry the coming volumes of the NecroTomicon may be your saving grace. Embrace the pure internet gold that is this channel...and turn your frowns (and thumbs) upside down.
carrying a flashlight around your house all the time DOES get annoying, what you do instead is get one attached to a headband. so much nicer, dont have to juggle shit all the time or go in blind
0:48 If you have trouble telling the two apart, always use this ingenious line to remember: "Alzheimer's is the one where you forget that you have Parkinson's disease."
i kinda just presumed regardless if they wanted/planned on doing more, cthulhu took up the "actual game coop" release slot till it finished up, but that got out lightning quick. i guess we'll see next week
I always remember when Lewis said 'Alzheimer's is where you forget you have Parkinson's'
"Non-stop shaking? Do you have Alzheimer's?"
Also Parkinson's also causes brain damage which includes forgetfulness, amnesia, and difficultly thinking in later stages of the disease.
Sufferers of Parkinson's are at high risk of dementia and I don't know when the letter was written in regards to the game but it would make sense

Wasn't she also do a lot of shaking during the earlier episodes?
@@ElkiLG Haha yeah I mean murdering people was probably a factor but in the game it says she has Parkinsons
Can we give mike(or is it mic i don't really know ) back his eyes or some glasses so he dosen't look so fucked up
what?
Fuck'n creepy with no eyes...
I think that's actually lewis' mic Horatio
Don't discriminate against poor little blind Horacio, Lewis did explain this...
I don't know why, but I think this is actually the scariest game they've played so far. None of them have creeped me out as much as this has.
Yeah it puts me weirdly on edge, just a shame the game mechanics are really lacking
This game has a level of frustrating mechanics which would make me rage quit if I wasn't watching two enjoyable chaps playing it.
having played this game, tom and simon make it seem much more frustrating than it is.

Not angry, just thought I’d educate y’all
Parkinson's sufferers are more prone to dementia in the later stages so it makes sense
Also Parkinson's decreases your happiness chemicals so the things you used to do for fun aren't as exciting
Love Simon's "Sorry Miss Jackson" reference at 3:23
Ya know with all the atmosphere in this game there really is no pay off. Seems all it is is atmosphere and then the level ends

fucking I know right? scared the shit out of me
Glad i wasn't the only one who got spooked, I nearly dropped my phone.
12:22 that slightly disappointed look Tom had, looking down and adjusting his beanie, just about sums up my life
BAM an actual haunted rocking chair? You say that like it's rare to have a haunted rocking chair... They are all haunted
That Papyrus font really spooked me
Grandma's last words will be "Harvey sends his regards"
Tom is really out here giving us content to look forward to enjoying!! Fantastic duo with even more fantastic beards. (And the game is cool too)
I love how they didn't listen to the fact that the diary entries are memories manifested last episode.

Hold on so the grandma killed the first kid, went senile and somehow you’re in hell being haunted by her? The fuck is going on.
Yes I love this series! Thank you Tom and Simon!
2:13 scared the absolute shit out of me thankssss
Sad times for you riddle plant!
this game is sooo well made, just the music gave me the shivers before the spooks even started
Great Job Guys :)
Here is a note for Simon as a symptom of Parkinson's disease it is common to develop Alzheimer's symptoms such as amnesia, confusion and dementia
It's the spookiest rocking chair. Get this: it moves. Back and forth. In a rocking motion.
Freaky.
I'm spooked just thinking about it
Cant believe Lewis preferred this to Call of Cthulhu :-S

leaving a comment because riddle plant can't: loving your horror videos with Simon. Keep up the good work!
I like how Tom is always so tentative to explore the dark creepy room that the game clearly wants you to enter, haha
F for respect riddle plant
Man this actually induces fear in me
Its to funny seeing you and Simon scared, great job UPLOAD MORE SPOOKYS.
