I distinctly remember wanting to see Dead Reckoning Pt. 1, because that opening weekend was the only time to watch it in Dolby Cinema before Barbieheimer wrecked shop. Lol
I can see the continuing the franchise but just with a different protagonist kind of like how the Bourne Identity finally made a different one with Jeremy Renner. Although of course they crashed and burned and chances are if they do the same thing with a continuing mission impossible without Tom Cruise it would crash and burn as well
It wont be the same without someone as dedicated as Cruise is. He's also a very capable actor and knows how to sell this shit alot better than dull, unflappable leads like the Rock who barely look bothered by the mayhem happening. Cruise at least knows to make his characters look scare or worried. That's called selling the drama and it's essential for action films

This is just me; I think showing the behind the scenes of some of the stunts for the last film before it came out kind of killed the excitement seeing it in the film as you saw how Tom practiced it. I wish they leaned in on the OG M:i theme. The fast paced uptempo exciting version or even the super fast pased EDM style version from part one. I think having "reckoning" in the title is a mistake. Every line of dialog is interchangeable with the last few movies. They seem to be repeating the exact same story over and over. "All of your decisions lead to this" or some variation. I know that this series has become famous for going into production without a finished script and winging it. It worked out well enough for Rouge Nation and Fallout, but the last ones story was a mess. I sound like such a negative nancy here, but im just pointing out concerns i have that I feel are warranted and im only worried because I love the series. They are pretty much ALL great despite the cracks slowly starting to show.

TOO much competition at the box office,the blame goes towards the studio releasing the latest MI film with all those huge films territory. The best tactic is release your block-buster into weak films period time frame.
